Dr. Abby is hands down the best chiropractor I have ever seen! She truly cares about her patient. Not only is she a great adjuster, she is also just an all-around great person. She has helped me so much with my headaches/migraines and neck pain. Dr Abby has been my chiropractor for 2 1/2 years. When I first saw her, I had sciatica so bad I could not sit and my husband had to drive me to my appointment. A neurosurgeon had recommended rods in my spine and I had received multiple spinal steroid injections without relief. Dr Abby said to give her 6 weeks. I also started seeing Dawn Chouman for private Pilates sessions. Working as a team initially 2-3 times per week I am virtually pain free and see Dr Abby every 2 weeks and still see Dawn once per week. I was treated by Dr.Abby when I played roller derby. I had been suffering from what I thought was a hernia- I had seen three medical doctors- all of whom said it "might" be a hernia. Linterally... no one was concerned, they just gave me the number of their preferred surgeon and that was it. Dr Abby was great from the first visit. My wife and I have been patients for several months now. I didn't know her at the time but have been a big fan of People's Pharmacy so gave her a shot - this after less than satisfactory work done by Central Chiropractic. Her price for all that she does is really low considering that she spends a full 30 min every visit and uses various massage equipment and stretches to really work on the problem areas. e.g. she has identified problems with my hips that I'd never had a chiro get at, and I've been seeing chiro's for 30 years. I met Dr. Abby at the Pilates and cycling studio I taught at. I developed a hip issue that was becoming increasingly worse, to the point that I had to stop teaching cycling (and doing most activity on my own). Dr. Abby knew that I stopped teaching cycling due to an injury and asked what was going on. I told her about the pain, that I was seeing a physical therapist and had gone to a doctor but they didn't know what was going on. After asking questions about the pain, she told me she thought it was a hip labrum tear. I got an MRI done two weeks later and found out I had a severe hip labrum tear. None of the doctors of therapists I had been seeing suspected what was going on and Dr. Abby knew it immediately. While the tear requires surgery to be fixed, Dr. Abby had me come see her to release my hip flexor that had become incredibly tight due to hip instability and adjust me. She also provided me with supplementation recommendations to reduce inflammation while I waited for surgery. Her suggestions were right on the mark and I'm so grateful for her help healing and her guidance. I moved from Austin so I didn't keep seeing her - but she has even kept in touch to see how I'm doing out here. Beyond her expertise and knowledge, she is incredibly caring. It's so obvious that she chose her profession because she cares deeply and wants to help others live happy and pain-free lives. Dr. Abby is absolutely amazing! Not only is she a great chiropractor, but she is a wealth of knowledge for corrective exercises, stretches, supplements and nutrition. She is very organized, timely and dependable - keeps your scheduled time and rarely keeps you waiting more than 5min. She is friendly, upbeat, and always pleasant to see and work with. She is personable and nice to talk with. Some chiro's can be rough when they adjust you. Never had this problem with her.
