We stayed in an RV spot (#51) which was perfect. Easy back in and plenty of room to hang out outside of the camper. The majority of the campground is heavily shaded by trees which is exactly what you need during summer months. Not to mention you get the full camping experience here vs other campgrounds that clear the trees to pack in as many spots as possible. Although we were only there for a few days the long term RV campers were very friendly to us which made us feel even more welcome. Also the wifi was perfect the entire time we stayed there. This isn't something to take for granted at a campground so it's worth noting and we are thankful for it! Although tent camping isn't our thing anymore we noticed how awesome the tent sites were. They looked spacious and comfortable so based on what we saw I'd recommend tent camping there as well!

I wish I would read reviews before I book stay here. All…read morebad reviews that owner Barbara rude and "karen" is true. I booked 1 bdr cottage for 2 night stay with my family(two kids). Room was smelling of smoke and dog pee. I asked the owner to change the room but she refused to do it with the reason no available cottage right now. Despite all cottacges around were empty. Then we told her that we have no choice but stay(because didn't want to ruin vacation on first day) but also my wife told her that she will write review about smell. Then she turned to angry bird and switched to mood "karen" mode. She and her husband tried to find justification to kick us out from the campground. And they found it. My 13 years old daughter was in a swimming pool and suddenly she approches to us with aggression like: "your daughters lied to me with saying she is almost 14 when she is actually 13. So she can't be in the swimming pool by herself and for that reason we have to leave. After back on forth police came and told us that the business owner doesn't want you guys on their property so leave. So again, first day and they asked us to leave in middle of the night with two kids(5 and 13). She said going to refund all amount and I didn't argue at the beginning tried to be nice and deescalate the situation but barbara openly said that she doesn't like my wife and will not let her stay here. Wow... she really was a mean to us promised to refund but after packed up she hide behind a closed doors and didn't even want to take the key )) Long story short every bad review about rudeness of these people are true. This business with this behavior's should go out of the business very soon.

My brother in law was walking back to the van so we could head to our next destination when he was stopped by security. Security asked for his id and said he needed to check the tags. Keep in mind this is private community security and not local police. My wife who rented the vrbo we stayed at then got out of the van to try to explain to security that our van was a rental because it seems the reason security was harassing my brother in law was supposedly we needed a permanent community sticker. The guard said the reason why we didnt have a sticker did not matter and he was going to have to write us a citation. My wife gave him the address of vrbo and he claimed there was no way for him to verify we were renting the vrbo. I would also like to mention security was shaking, loud, and agitated from the start. At this time I wll also state that I am a white male, my brother in law is black, and my wife is afro latina. I would love to be able to say it didnt seem racially motivated but the whole situation is very surreal otherwise. My brother in law couldnt stop talking about the fact that this was his first perceived racially charged experience in his thirty year life. The security also seemed like someone who always wanted to be a cop, wasnt able to for whatever reason, and this job was his opportunity to relish some display of power. Im not sure if people should just be aware of security because they are on a power trip or if mixed populations / people of color should avoid this place. Other than the sour experience with security at the end it was a pleasant stay. Pardon poor grammar as i am typing on phone in a car following incident.

A Perfect Wellness Getaway for Burnt-Out Parents…read more My husband and I spent just one night at The Lodge at Woodloch to celebrate our anniversary--our first time away from the kids since they were born--and it was everything we needed to recharge. From the moment we arrived, we felt cared for. No tipping worries, a warm welcome with a handy tote and waterbottle, and a quick orientation set the tone. Yes, it's a splurge--but worth every penny for the details alone. We loved strolling the nature trails, spotting deer, and relaxing in the woods cabin stocked with water, tea, bug wipes, and even a s'mores kit (plus a real bathroom few steps away!) Kayaking was peaceful, and our massages melted the stress away--though I do wish they had included fingers! The Whisper Lounge was a dream: dim lights, cozy silence, and snacks that let you fully unwind. Coffee/tea/water everywhere. Meals were fresh, organic, and delicious--especially the salads straight from their farm. The three included meals per day made dining a highlight (just don't recommend the pork bao - dry side) We took chakra yoga, tai chi, self defense and even a sketch/painting class--everything was thoughtfully led and enriching. Loved all of our instructors! Only feedback: separate the activity desk from the spa desk, as the spa reps seemed stressed. Also be sure to check the bill to ensure you are not charged an extra meal. Overall, we left grounded, nourished, and already looking forward to our return. Just 2.5 hours from NYC--highly recommend for parents or anyone needing a true reset. (Instagram @Jubes111 )
