But most important to us: We work from home and are only able to take extended trips by working wherever we are. It is VITAL that we have reliable internet to do this, however, so we always call ahead about the wifi. Before we rented, we called, asked about the wifi situation and were assured we would have a spot with a strong signal. My husband owns a software development company that customizes systems for businesses, and we have to be available to our staff of developers and programmers mornings and evenings. The internet did not work... at all. When we attempted to contact the owner/manager(?) by phone, there was no answer. Our voicemail messages went unreturned. Our email was also ignored. We finally got a return text but the owner said we should try getting on the wifi outside (in the cold). She then suggested we should enlist the help of a neighbor to connect (Again, we own a tech company. Not knowing how was never the issue.). She was very rude, dismissive and then devolved from the person we had just seen walking everywhere claiming they couldn't help us, because they can't walk, were tired, in pain and "about to be sick". We discovered that there was an up charge for "premium wifi"... So, if that is indeed the case, we just needed someone to take our credit card number by phone to give us the premium access to the internet. We suspect "premium internet" is a myth, since as soon as we requested it, the owner stopped replying to our messages. The final message we received was an ALL CAPS claim of being practically at death's door. If that's the case, someone else should be onsite to handle issues. We will be requiring our rental fee back. Avoid this place. It's pretty much falling apart, and the personnel here appear to have zero interest in taking care of guests' needs.

The people are genuine, friendly, welcoming, and go out of their way to make you feel like part of their family. Being first time visitors, the owner and son escorted us to our camp site and helped with parking in the best spot on our site - they would have even backed/parked my RV for me, if needed! The pool is beautiful and well maintained - the bathrooms, common areas, and snack area/convenience store are clean and well stocked. The fellow camp kids were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and incredibly kind to invite our kids along for daily adventures/games. The lake was peaceful and so much fun as we watched our kids catch and release an abundance of fish! Our dog loved the walks and scenery as well. The landscaping is beautifully maintained as well - the groundskeeper was out watering plants and keeping things looking beautiful - you can tell he has a lot of pride in his work by watching him care for the grounds. He even made sure to point out a massive frog hopping around to my kids since he figured they'd get a kick out of it - and they sure did! We felt like we have a private piece of heaven on earth while still having access to all the beautiful amenities that come with camping! This place is very special since it's not a far drive for us but just enough "removed" from our day-to-day hustle to feel like a true vacation spot. The views - no matter which direction you look - are magical. The sunrise and sunset are unmatched. While we were only at Harmony Ridge for a quick weekend trip, it felt like time slowed down and we could enjoy every minute of our stay. We were already booking out next trip as we packed up!! Looking forward to many return visits to this beautiful campground.
