We stayed at the Lander's River Skinners Falls Campground. Unless you want to hear loud music and generators going all night long, avoid this campground like the plague. The people who come here are really stretching the concept of "camping". They bring giant speakers and even TVs and power them with loud gas generators. The campground supposedly has quiet hours after 11pm but they do nothing to enforce them and when you bring up the lack of enforcement they just kind of shrug. One night we stayed people played loud music all through the night until 5am. If you value enjoying nature with a good night's sleep stay far far away from here. read more

Just had the best trip down the Delaware River. Landers employees were helpful and informative in helping me book my trip. I went rafting with friends and we had a great time. We saw several bald eagles and enjoyed natures beauty during our 4 hour float. No rough rapids, so nothing to be worried about. Pack a cooler with hoagies, drinks and snacks and you are good to go! read more

6 Hours of Sunburned Regret - Landers River Trap........f you've ever dreamed of drifting peacefully down a river for three relaxing hours, don't come here -- unless you meant six hours of sun-scorched misery while your children cry and you paddle like a deranged gondolier just to keep moving. Landers assured us our 5-mile tubing trip would be a chill three-hour float. Cute. The Delaware River clearly didn't get the memo, because in some spots the current stops entirely. You'll have to use your arms like oars -- not fun when your only paddles are your hands and growing resentment. Pro tip: if you have kids under 12, they'll be too small for the massive tubes and too weak to help. So congrats -- you're towing a human anchor while slowly baking alive. And just when you think you've made it, Landers hits you with the final boss: a shoreline of thick, goopy mud that sucks your shoes off and your soul with it. Because who doesn't want to end the worst vacation day ever by trudging through six inches of swamp muck? Never again. Thanks for the trauma, Landers. read more

Shame on Lander's for not following safety and social distancing guidelines Masks are not enforced whatsoever Shuttles to launch locations are provided by mask-less employees who allow hoards of people onto the vans and buses that are not properly sanitized. People are literally sweating on the seats that are then used by a new batch of mask-less river-goers As a nurse who worked in NY at the height of the pandemic, I was pretty disappointed by what I saw. My friends and I couldn't bring ourselves to the unsafe conditions of the shuttle service so we just drove ourselves to Skinner's Falls. Once we arrived there, we realized the lack of social distancing continued. The young guy helping with the canoes was chewing tobacco and spitting it right at our feet. It's as if covid never existed at Lander's. If I was a Karen I'd report them to the state... instead I'll just warn others via Yelp. Needless to say $60 per person for a 2.5 mile canoe ride was not at all worth it. read more

I've been going to Bob Landis campsite since 1986 with friends families workers co-workers and it is awesome I just don't see no pictures of the old smokey train coming around the mountain no more you ain't got one photo of that train everybody used to get up we'd be up to in the morning and everybody would scream when that train came around the mountain like a hoorah Bob Lynn just has opened up camping to people that never canceled for and let them experience it safely first and open up the world the camping as it did for my wife I believe it's a great place to bring people for the first time for many times I've been down there River on that river trip like I said about 10 to 15 times never had a read more

I have been coming here the lasts two years with my friends and we love it. We are planning our next trip for summer 2022 right now. I don't understand why there are so many terrible reviews. The only reason why I give it 4 starts instead of 5 because they are a little unorganized when it comes to booking but other then that its a perfect spot to get big groups together and enjoy the outdoors. We have only stayed at Skinners falls because it says its for late nighters but we also like to stay Friday till Monday because it does quite down Sunday night and we feel like we have the place to ourselves. If you are looking for a really quiet atmosphere this is not the spot for you on the weekends. I would try a state campground or more of a family oriented campground. read more

Went on a rafting tour with Lander's River Trips over the Fourth of July weekend. The trip itself was nice - although we did get stuck quite often in shallow water - but the business was quite disappointing. First off, when I registered my party, none of the employees were wearing masks (not very comforting during covid). Additionally, mask requirements were not enforced for guests either, which was quite unnerving in a small enclosed space where people definitely did not stay 6 feet apart. Similarly, no masks were worn by employees on the shuttle busses to and from the rafting site. Considering that you share a bus or van with a group of people, this seems against public health recommendations - especially because all busses/vans had signs up requiring masks. Lastly, receiving our raft was quite chaotic. It wasn't clear where to go or who to talk to, and my group spent quite some time trying to get the attention of the employees. I may go back once the pandemic is over as the trio was very scenic, but would not recommend going at the moment. read more

The other reviews are trash. Here's the scoop. I've been to Skinners Falls and I've been to Narrowsburg. Narrowsburg is by far the better campground. 1. If you want a wooded site you need to request one because some sites are in an open field. 2. If you're looking for peace and quite you're in the wrong place and it isn't fair to blame the staff. You can't stop people around you from partying and playing music all night. However if you're looking to have a good time it's the perfect place because nobody will tell you to quiet down. My friends and I go every year and it's awesome. And to be honest if you can't fall asleep at the end of the night, even with all the noise, you're not doing camping right. You can also just bring earplugs. 3. The grounds are beautiful and right by the river. You can walk to the river and go for a swim if you want. There are big overhangs to hang out in and sometimes there are bands that play on the weekend. 4. The bathrooms and showers aren't that bad. You're camping, do you really expect nice bathrooms? They're there and they work. I personally like peeing next to spiders. Oh yeah, there are a lot of spiders. 5. The staff is very friendly. I've been dealing with them for the last 7 years and never had an issue. On the last trip we had to wait for rafts to arrive and they apologized several times. 6. They have electric sites. This is the main reason why we go to Narrowsburg over Skinners Falls. The electric is essential for us because we use iceless coolers and bring a speaker for music. 7. The river trip is awesome and they provide the transportation for you. Everyone piles in a school bus and they ship you off to either the drop off or starting point, depending on where you stay. They allow you take coolers on the rafts and the bus. One year somebody even brought a keg. Oh and you can bring dogs on the raft too. 8. There's a Chinese takeout place right down the block if you get sick of cooking burgers. Speaking of cooking, the one thing I don't like is that there are no grills on the campground. I highly recommend a Coleman Roadtrip Grill. It's a good investment. 9. There's a camp store on each campground stocked with ice, firewood, and all kinds of convenient items. 10. Narrowsburg is just fun to say. "I'm went to Narrowsburg this year, and it was f@cking epic." I understand that some people are looking for a really quiet atmosphere. They have sites that are more secluded. They're located on the opposite side of the field furthest from the river. Nobody ever goes there. Or you can try the Minisink campground, although I've never been there. I've tried other campgrounds and Landers is by far the best for what my friends and I like. I hope this review helps. We had a great time rafting on the river. The rain was low this season so not many rapids but it was a great way to spend 3 hours (5 mile ride). The staff and campers was friendly - even recommending a nearby corn maze for us to check out- and the land/property is huge. There's a volleyball court and as it's campground you can bring games/whatever you want. We will def be back next summer to try canoeing or kayaking. read more

I booked with Landers for the first time this weekend for a 10 mile river trip from TMR Landing to Minisink. The last tour operator I used had the latest departure time at 10 AM, which is very early! I loved that Landers had a 12pm time slot available which was perfect for our 10 mile trip as we finished at about 5 pm. If you are doing more than 10 miles I suggest arriving earlier in the day. Overall the Landers operation was a little more chill than my last experience, which I appreciated because we are here for fun and relaxation after all! The safety talk before launch was helpful too as the staffer mentioned to point your legs down river if you fall out of the canoe. I did not know that and seems like good information to know. The drive from Minisink base camp to the launch point wasn't bad at all and went by pretty quickly. The actual canoe was okay, I think it was a 15 ft canoe and not a 17 ft canoe, which really made a difference in terms of the edge of the canoe rubbing on the outside of my legs, which were very sore the next day. If I book with Landers again, I would request the larger size canoe. The actual river trip was fun even though the river level was pretty low. All told we had a good day out on the river and I would recommend Landers. read more

My friends and I have been coming here for 7 years and we love it. The pros are that they do not have quiet hours which we enjoy b/c a lot of campgrounds do have it. I would not suggest coming here if you want a serene quiet place. Theres a variety of people from families, to couples, to groups of friends. There are bathrooms which showers but they aren't anything special or super clean b/c again your camping so its really just a place to shower and clean up. They do have rafting right on sight which is nice. Its a bit pricier than other places. They have volleyball nets up, and a small store to buy some of the essential stuff that I believe stays open til 11pm. Fun place! read more

We were a group of thirty staying at narrowsburg campgrounds. The shuttle picked us all up and took us to the area where rafts were. Staff was wonderful and informed us of rules and how to maneuver the rafts. The campgrounds were wonderful as well. We all had a great time and all the staff were great. read more

Wow what a rip off! I was so bored on this rafting adventure that if I had service I would have written my yelp review while on the raft. We decided on rafting after being told that there were rapids through out the river. There was 9 of us in my group and it cost $51.84 per person on a saturday to raft. We were in two rafts (5 people in one and 4 people in the other). We started at Skinners Falls and ended in Narrowsburg. Not only were there NO rapids, there was hardly a current in the river so we had to row the entire 5 miles which took almost 4 hours. Also, about 30 minutes in one of our rafts started deflating on its own and left the raft half empty so 2 people needed to get out and swim/pull the raft the rest of the way. There are also no Lander's run check points or guides the entire 5 miles of the river so if something goes wrong (like one raft deflating) there is absolutely nothing you can do. We ended up having to attach the deflated raft to the other raft and tow it which was horrible. The worst part is when we got back to Skinners Falls and told the woman in the office she was extremely rude and offensive. She even said to my cousin "i'm not deaf, you do not need to speak so loud". WRONG family to say that to as we have two deaf immediate family members. Not only was this such a scam, it was boring. I would not waste the money rafting. If I were to do anything again I would do tubing but I still wouldn't rent through this company because the woman at the counter in Skinners Falls was so nasty! I came here on Saturday morning with 10 people. We parked and went into the office and we were not greeted, but scowled at by an older blonde woman with short hair. Her firsts word were "are you all paying together or separate" and we replied separate. She took each of our credit cards but failed to give anyone a customer copy receipt. When it came to me I asked nicely for a receipt, and this woman replies to a younger woman who was working there "is she talking to me" and I answered her "yes I am taking to you, can I please have a receipt". She continued to ignore me, and I had to ask her a third time for a receipt which she finally responded fine I'll write you a receipt. This woman was unnecessarily nasty. Also, one of the people in my group is a member of the military, and so he asked for a military discount, not once, not twice, but three times and both women continued to ignore him and charge him regular price, which is ($51.83 including tax). A message to the owner of this business -- please have a word with your unfriendly, and nasty staff. They have no idea what customer service actually is, and it reflects very badly on your business. The actual rafting experience -- it was fun, we ran into maybe three rapids throughout the trip. One thing there should've been was more direction by staff, we weren't told to take the pumps that get the water out of the raft(we saw other rafters with them), which would've been helpful. Also, we missed the first exit which came up very quickly and had to take the two hour trip to the next landing/exit. Overall we had fun, but I would definitely not come back to Lander's because of the nasty staff, plus there are definitely places with more bang for your buck ($50 a person is kind of steep). Update: The owner of Lander's, Lisa, responded to my review. After emailing her, she wanted to let me know that she will deal with the person who treated me poorly, apologized, and even offered me a gift certificate. I appreciate the time that Lisa took to contact me and make things right. I will definitely give Lander's another shot. read more

Went here for a canoe trip this past weekend. They couldn't care less that we're in a pandemic. No one enforcing masks. Employees aren't even wearing masks. One female employee without a mask even joked as she walked past people in the office that she wasn't used to wearing a mask (5+ months into the pandemic). The buses used to transport people to the canoe trip are not disinfected, the drivers don't wear masks, the seating is not set up for social distancing. The parking lot was a mess of people with no organization. This business knows that by staying open, they've taken over and they show absolutely zero concern for their customers. You're way better off staying far away from their campsites and offices. read more

The Narrowsburg campsite has been our family summer vacation destination for the past 15 summers. Elaine in the camping office is so good to my family. She always goes out of her way to make sure my family is having the BEST time! Any questions we have; Elaine is always available to assist us. She ensures our trip is fun and safe. That is why we keep coming back every year. And, we have to thank our favorite driver Bob K. My kids, nieces, and nephews are always excited to see him! Our group stayed at their camp site at Skinners Falls. Horrible quiet time is Supposed to be between 11pm and 8am. One Camping group was blasting music till 5:20 am. Staff /security did nothing. We got no sleep at all. Then had to do rafting trip next day. Rafting was fine. except no guides. Staff tells you brief overview of river. Again would never stay at camp site. Never mind conditions of bathrooms . Mold all over. Portable toilets apparently were been cleaned every 10 days according to maintenance stick. But apparently they stopped cleaning them on June 7th. We were there September 18th. Image smell and filthy. That's got be a violation of some state or local law. Never stay there again. River Run maybe. read more

I have been coming to landers for years and this year was definitely their busiest year in over 15 years. But it has also completely spiraled out of control. The music that goes till 5 am and the fireworks set off at all hours of the night in close proximity to peoples campsites. There was only a security guard during the day this saturday. People speed up and down the campsites at all hours of the night so if you have little ones it's not safe. Also do yourself a favor and try your hardest not to interact with Elaine in the office she is beyond rude. I was there twice summer forth of July weekend I let it go because the place was massive chaos. Let's also talk about the filthy life vest they give you to go down the river. The beach boys never explained anything just sent us on our way. Also landers it's the year 2020 do you think you can spruce up the bathrooms a bit. read more

This is a whole day and one time type of ordeal, lemme tell you. First off, we had to wait almost 2 hours in 90 degree weather to even get on the bus to go to the river (as you can see on my friends face in the photo- she was not having it). It was like hunger games trying to get on that bus. It was very disorganized and there was no staff to direct or guide anyone on where to go or what to do. Upon finally getting on the bus, no one was wearing masks (corona) and the trip was at least a good 15 mins. Once at the river, they gave us floats with little to no information and we were on our way. They weren't kidding when they said it takes 5 hours to get to the end of the river- prepare yourself. Although it was a beautiful scenery and an enjoyable ride (except for the part where we go through river rapids and each one of us flipped over and dropped all of our coolers into the water and smashed into rocks) it was fun! If you do choose to go on this lovely journey- bring string or something to tie your floats together, trust me on this one. Also be prepared to hold your cooler of drinks for the entire time on your lap. Overall it was a fun experience I will never forget! read more

Did a tubing trip. The river was nice. everything else was terrible. Majorly disappointed that nobody working at Landers was wearing masks - they are definitly NOT following covid guidelines. Shuttle driver was not wearing a mask, people working inside the check in center were not wearing masks, the teenagers that were working were oblivious to any type of distancing/mask protocols. A Majority of guests on site were not wearing masks. Landers should be closed down until they can get it together. read more

My friends& I have been going down to Lander's every year for the past 5-6 years for a long weekend of camping & rafting/kayaking. We always stay @ Narrowsburg so I cant speak for the other 2 sites but we love it. There's a camp store that sells essentials including fire wood (we prefer to get it elsewhere for cheaper) but it's good to know they have in case of an emergency. Bathrooms are clean for the most part& showers are available also. There's a lot of "younger" groups of people that stay @ Narrowsburg so if you're looking for a quiet night of camping you'll be disappointed.. but if you're not bothered by loud music it's great :) We've never had any real issues that would keep us from coming back! Camping is always a great time & the river is beautiful. Some parts get super shallow which can be annoying but that's nature I guess right? One thing i will mention.. there's a LOUD train that goes right by the Narrowsburg campground.. we're used to it by now but if you're not expecting it in the middle of the night it can be a little frightening. read more

I have enjoyed camping all my life and have been to numerous campgrounds. This was by far my worst experience. We signed in on August 21, and our assigned site was cover with beer bottle caps, broken beer bottle glass, and various trash items. We spoke with the office and got reassigned a new spot. Upon arrival, there were three cars and a tent on the site. Again we talked to the office and received a third spot and finally set up camp. No one wore masks in the bathhouses, and doors are broken in the men's room. There as also no trash bins in the female bathrooms. As a result, all feminine items had to be tossed out in the big barrels around camp. For any young female, this has a strong potential to be embarrassing. Things were not bad until this point, but at night things turned into a complete nightmare!! At least three different parties brought in large speakers and blasted music until 4 AM. Around 1230AM, I went to the office to see if anyone was around and didn't see anyone. So I called the main camp number and explained the situation and asked for a call back the next day to discuss the manner. Close to this time, I saw night security driving around in their van and spoke with them. This conversation was unproductive. The security staff said they couldn't make people turn off the music but only ask them to turn it down. They then defend the party-goers by saying it's the weekend and want to have a good time and have the right to play music. They also said they couldn't kick parties out since they had been drinking and didn't want to promote drunk driving. They then proceeded to tell me they will probably go on until 3 AM, and there was nothing they could do. Finally, they said if I was unhappy, I could call the state troopers. Given this state of the country and police, I didn't want to risk harm to the party-goers by calling the police on them. In addition, many party-goers set off numerous fireworks, and I woke up around 2 AM with children from other sties running around strangers tents playing games and causing a ruckus. Before I went to bed I pulled up an email sent to me before arrival and it stated. security will patrol quite hours and can give fines or evict campers. Based on their documents, the security staff had recourse but clearly chose to be negligent in their duties or lack training from management. We were finally able to sleep with earplugs and noise-canceling headphones. Many of the nearby tent sites and I spoke in the morning, and as collective, very few got a good night's sleep. Shockingly the party-goers put on music again loudly around 8 AM. I never received a call back the following day. Later on an unrelated matter, I was in the camp store to pick something up, and I saw a father with his young son complaining about the noise. Bless the young blonde staff for listening and taking in the complaint. I did back up this father and mentioned everything he said was true and had, in fact, occurred the previous evening. The young lady looked a bit overwhelmed, but i do understand she was not directly involved in the last night's events, and I do wish her well. We had kayaking booked, and again we felt failed. The bus driver didn't wear a mask. Upon picking up our kayaks, the staff didn't even give instructions or offer to help launch. As an experienced kayaker, I helped my party and went through the kayaking basics on my own with them. I don't mind this role but at a minimum would have expected the staff to offer a quick 2-minute primary discussion on kayaking, After all of this, my party and I decided to pack up our camp and leave. We had booked two nights, but we did not want to risk another sleepless night after all the disappointment. read more

Strange business. We rented tubes to float down the river. First, we got little to no information about what to expect. We had two options: ride the river for five hours and their van would pick us up...or just come ashore anywhere and drag the tube back, following the "trail." My wife and I are in our 70's. We chose to come ashore after two hours. We had to climb over rocks along the shore for a quarter mile until we found the trail. The information we received about the trail was completely inadequate. If we had fallen, we would have been in some serious trouble, as we left our cell phones in our car. However, there was a positive side. When we hit the rapids, I understood the draw of tubing. It was a blast. If you choose to go here, their equipment is fine and they insist on use of safety gear, but be sure you get specific information on the return trail, as the trail is not identified by any signs. read more

Terrible terrible customer service! I made a reservation by mistake not realizing how far the location is from us. I called 40 mins later to cancel and they told me they will charge me a $80 cancellation fee. When I protested, they kept on arguing with me that they informed me about this policy about cancellation fee when I called to make a reservation but that is simply not true. Even if it was true, charging someone a cancellation fee when they made a reservation by mistake and called back within the hour after realizing the mistake is a predatory business practice and a great way to make some extra money without providing any services. read more

Let's get the negatives right out of the way. The bathrooms aren't clean. You definitely want to bring flip-flops or water-shoes for the showers. The stalls were atrocious. Late nights. Be forewarned...this place is NOT for anyone looking for peace and quiet. There were several campsites partying until nearly 5AM. Some even had generators running so they could power their DJ equipment. We knew of this before booking, so it wasn't an issue for US, but it may be for those who aren't aware. That's about it for the cons, now on to the pros... Cheap. Clean campsites. The sites themselves were clean, but there were some areas that were inaccessible to staff, where other visitors had thrown bottles, boxes, etc into the brush. Camp store. They have everything and anything you may have forgotten except for major groceries - eggs, bacon, milk, etc. River access. Our neighboring sites backed right up to the Delaware River and had a trail cut through the brush/bamboo allowing simple, quick access down to the river shore. The river was magnificent. Fresh flowing, clean, crystal clear water. Another review mentioned a "sewage smell". Untrue. This is your normal, rotting vegetation smell that you'll commonly find along a shoreline. In fact, there was zero presence of it on the NY side, but I did find a slight presence of it on the PA side. Yes, you can swim to PA. Canoe, tube, raft rentals right there at the office. Reasonable prices. I'll definitely be back. It was an absolutely wonderful experience for us or for those looking for lazy days in the river and wild, late-night parties afterhours. Oh, and 2 things: definitely bring watershoes for walking along the shore and in the river. It's very rocky. Not sharp, dangerous rocks, but round, smooth rocks that can be slippery. Also, I had zero cell phone service here with Verizon 4G. read more

Ok so we booked our trip at Knights Eddy campground. We got there Friday night, We were told there was no electric, but when we arrived there was 25-30 Brazilians having a party like I have never seen before, Just like the review from above (Mack M.) They even had a deep freezer??? These people howl like wolves and dance the night/morning away with there pro audio sound system. we woke up Saturday morning to screaming and yelling people and decided to pack up and leave. The management decided to transfer us to camp Minisink. For the love of everything that is sacred in life, PLEASE DO NOT GO TO KNIGHTS EDDY CAMPGROUND. The reason I am a fan is because Minisink Campground was perfect. They even gave us a credit for firewood and Ice which was very nice of them. FYI- I am 31 years old and can party with the best of them and love having a good time, so I am not a boring person at all. read more

Geez, where do I start? We came up to Minisink on a Friday night because we wanted to float the Delaware River the next day. The Lander's website said they had camping/floating packages, but they were for groups of 4 or more. Not sure why they couldn't cut a deal for a group of 2, but I digress... The campsites were super close together with no privacy whatsoever. We checked in late (around 8:30pm) and it was raining. We needed firewood so they said for us to go ahead and set up our tarp/tent (due to the rain) and come back later for wood because they were open until 10pm. We went back at 9:20pm and they were closed. Raining night and no campfire = unhappy. The d-bags next to us decided to play their music at VOLUME 1,000 ALL NIGHT LONG. There are supposed to be quite hours (which no one enforced) and they didn't end up shutting off their music until about 3am. Since it was raining, the campsite was completely washed out along with the rest of camp. And it's not dirt, it's mostly all sand. So it was super gross and squishy to walk through. The canoe trip on Saturday was nice. We opted for the 10 mile trip which was really fun. The girl at the office hurried us out because she said it was going to take at LEAST 5 hours to finish (paddling the whole time) in order to get back to camp in time, but it only took us 3 hours (and that was with us stopping. Twice.). I recommend the 10 mile trip starting about noon or 1pm. It doesn't take all day. Our neighbors were just as horrible on Saturday night as well. Super loud and obnoxious, throwing things in the fire pit just to see it blow up, and again blasting music until around 3am. This "cozy and quite" campsite was FAR from relaxing and we will never come back. Do not stay here. Bathrooms were okay and the showers had hot water, but that was the only perk. read more

Not so much a camp site as much as a place for delinquents and drunks to gather. Camp ground policy is no music after 11pm but we were surrounded by obnoxious groups partying until 3-4am. When we complained the manager said there was nothing they could do; and apparently the police are unable to do anything. No point in advertising a policy you can't/won't enforce. Showers and toilets are primitive when working; less than 3rd world quality when not. 'Fire pit' as a round patch of dirt with 7 small rocks spaced around the outside. In summary; it's cheap for a reason and the cheap crowds don't make for an enjoyable time. read more

The Lander's Campgrounds are a group of campsites up and down the Delaware River. i have only stayed at the Skinner's Fall Campground. They offer a large open campground, rafting, canoeing, kayaking and tubing. There are volleyball nets. There are two bath houses / bathrooms with showers. I choose to camp here because it is one of the few campsites I have found which do not have quiet hours and allow alcohol. Be aware this campsite is not a good place to bring small children as it is loud / rowdy. Campsites are quite large and have garbage cans and a water spigot. I do think the nightly rate is a bit pricy but we continue to camp here every year as we have not found any other campsites good for camping and having a good time. read more

We did a 2 hour kayak trip from Skinners Falls to the Narrowsburg Campground and had a blast! The river is beautiful. A true treasure. There are little "islands" to pull into if you want to stop and take a swim. Everyone was having so much fun and there were lots of people on the river if you want to make some friends. You go through a few rapids at Skinners which was a blast! Landers has this down to a science. You park your car and take a bus to another location and paddle down to end up back at your car. Everything is waiting for you as soon as you get off the bus! There is no shortage of staff to help you out and a super nice young gentlemen gave us a safety briefing and also a few pointers. Then, you are ready to go! Equipment was just fine and they have all sorts of supplies and snacks if you forget anything. We can't wait to go back! read more

Once a year since 1983 and I'm still going back. They must be doing something right. I canoe with a bunch of loonies once a year, and we have always based here. Landers Narrowsburg gets my 5-star rating for one reason--they are good at what they do. This does not mean they are 5-star like a 5-star hotel or 5-star restaurant, but simply that they do what they do well. A clean, safe, reliable facility that accommodates sun and shade seekers, noisy campers, loud music, big bonfires and even the occasional fireworks display without too much heavy handed enforcement. We used to paddle from Callicoon to here each year, now we are older and lazier and start at Skinners Falls, but we end up here, and have seen two generations of Landers kids grow up serving us. Decent facilities, including generally clean latrines with TP and showers that are hot if you get in there early, the site offers a nice landing spot after a hard day of river drinking and semi-paddling. This is NOT Yellowstone. If you're looking for a quiet, peaceful pristine look at wildlife, try the Discovery Channel. This is for campers--sometimes raucous, who get out infrequently to commune with nature and some adult beverages., so if the kids are light sleepers, leave them home. Canoes, rafts and tubes are available, and life jackets and paddles of course. If you're a bit larger than one size fits all you might bring your own life vest (they ARE required through the falls, and cannot be tied or lashed to your canoe at anytime). Otherwise Landers provides all you need for a weekend out. We;ve been doing this since Bobby himself was at the helm of this chain of canoe bases--the kids are steering quite well these days. read more

Staff were friendly. Kayaks and equipment were in good condition. Booked the reservation over the phone. Friendly customer service and great recommendations for planning our trip. Went from Skinner Falls to TMR. Enjoyed it. Looking at some of the reviews, you can't blame them for river conditions. They have no control over that. Bathrooms and showers were your standard campsite showers. I do wish they were serving food at either Skinners Falls or Narrowsburg. Went on Friday and both spots did not have hot food. read more

Lander's Rivers campground. We stayed for Fourth of July weekend. We were a group of about 25/30 people. Adults and children. The people next to us (a group maybe 5 times our size) was blasting music throughout the night until 6am with a professional DJ sound system. The security would not enforce the quiet time rule - they refused to do anything about it - and when the police came, they didn't even wait for the police to leave and turned the music up even louder. It was the worst camping experience I've ever had. There were so many campers there that there was no room whatsoever to enjoy any nature. Also, the campground hands out wristbands when you check in and most of the people in the other group were not wearing wristbands. I will never ever recommended this campground to anyone. It was miserable. If you want a terrible camping experience then this is the place for you. If I could give it a negative amount of stars, I would. read more

Lander's was the only boating rental service still open in early October so we booked it even though we knew there weren't very many river rapids on their end of the river. We rented a four person raft for our family of four and floated down the Delaware for about 2.5 hours, eating lunch and enjoying ourselves. There was only one area of quick rapids but that was fun. It helped that we had beautiful sunny fall weather of course. We thought the staff was nice. It would have been appreciated though had the young man who handed us our life jackets and paddles perhaps would've helped us launch from the muddy shore. read more

I went camping here with a few friends for a weekend back in July and we had a blast. Granted, this campground is bare minimum - the bathrooms are very VERY basic and not the cleanest. The same can be said for the showers. We had a lean-to site that had no electricity. However, if you're looking for a weekend "roughing it", aka drinking in the woods, this place is on point. We got a little lost on our way up, but made it to the campground at around 10pm. Everyone was partying and people were shooting off fireworks, probably leftover from the 4th. We set up our tent in record time and proceeded to start drinking and wandering to meet other campers. We made friends the first night that we ended up bumping into the next day as we floated down the Delaware River. The second night was pretty much the same - more new friends and plenty of drinking games til the early hours of the morning. As for the river trips portion, Landers was great. The whole process was well organized. They have a bus that picks you up at the campground and drops you off at the starting point, where you can either get a raft, tubes, or a canoe. We chose the raft and it very comfortably fit all 5 of us. They say this is whitewater rafting but there are really no rapids, you're essentially just floating down the river for 3-5 hours depending on your rowing pace. Bring a cooler of beer with you! And sandwiches. Overall it was a really fun experience. We met a group that goes every year with a theme - which this year happened to be vikings - who were pelting us with water balloons and squirt guns as we drifted down the river. It's a pretty young crowd so I would not come here with young kids. Definitely a fun weekend! read more

Did one of the 2.5 hour kayaking trips. The river is beautiful. I had basic kayaking experience and found the Level 1 rapids on a day with low- moderate river level to be appropriately challenging for me and very fun. That said, I regret having rented anything on a weekend during the pandemic. There was a long line to complete paperwork inside the cramped campsite store/office at the Narrowsburg location. Not a single staff person was wearing a mask. In the store, the staff stood behind a plastic barrier that was basically doing nothing. Not a single staff person handing out or retrieving equipment was wearing a mask. Only 60-70% of the customers in the store were wearing masks - in spite of a 'masks required' sign on the door. No social distancing at all. Given the lackadaisical attitude towards COVID protection, I'm glad I didn't use the shuttles. read more
