With some smaller kids and some grandparents it's not always easy finding something that everyone enjoys, but we all had a blast. We picked a dam release date so the river was a bit quicker. Parking was easy, and they shuttle you back at the end, so pretty convenient. The process getting tubes and jumping in the river was organized well, and everyone was friendly. We had some with us worried the river might be too cold, but once you got into the water it really wasn't bad at all (temp was high 70s-80 on a date in late August). We chose a bunch of single tubes and some of us got doubles, which all worked well. Can't wait to do this again next summer!

Again he said he was driving and would call me back that night. Nothing--i have not the faintest idea on why I never got a call back to confirm payment and date. The only thing I could think of and didn't want to resort to that reason was racism. I'm so glad that I didn't book with this place and found another who was more accommodating and actually booking for the event was not as archaic as a phone call to get payment. Instead, I was able to book online with another and got the river tubing experience that we wanted. I highly recommend Extreme Adventure Travel Outfitters instead of this place. Stay clear away from Luna Tubing.

The staff are... something else. They seem less like recreation employees and more like a highly organized squad of mall cops. They patrol the grounds in packs, seemingly on a mission to find someone to reprimand. The overall atmosphere was incredibly unfriendly and unwelcoming, which is a strange vibe for a place that is supposed to be a family-oriented lake club. At one point, the staff waited at the shore for a man who was swimming outside of the designated swimming area and tried to apprehend him so they could call the POLICE. We understand that swimming areas exist for safety reasons, but the apparent eagerness to escalate a relatively minor rule violation to law enforcement was honestly baffling. Like you guys know you work for a lake club in the Poconos and not the FBI right? I would bet a lot of money that the local police department rolls their eyes when they see this place calling them again and again. Rules are rules, and we have no issue following them. But there's a pretty big difference between enforcing rules and making your guests feel like they're constantly being watched for an opportunity to get in trouble. Would absolutely recommend the lake. Would not recommend whatever law-enforcement internship program they have running at the beach.

They give renters a "special" wristbands so that everyone knows you are a special guest. If you want to fish, forget it. They require you to rent a boat to fish. While we did it, the cost was excessive. The cost is about 280 dollars for two hours. We will expect a different place to visit in the Poconos next summer.

There's a tiny bridge as well as a very iffy hike alongside. I had my deaf and blind dog along with me so I couldn't do too much as I was afraid he'd fall down the side into the river. I hear that just past this parking area there's a beach? That should be cool. I'm actually on my way back there this morning to check it out. I stayed in the organized group camping area and loved how the sites that we booked allowed for plenty of tents to spread out within your group. We stayed in J, K and L. Last year there were porter potties and this year there was a bathhouse. Sadly there were no showers, the family bathroom was locked all weekend, and maintence getting to the bathroom was not good. Wehad to walk through a field of knee high grass to get there. During peak tick season, this was not ideal. Lastly, quiet hours apparently do not exist this is area of camping. Groups around us were chanting and singing before 5am and had an intense volleyball match at 6am. Boyscotts camped near us and were up late screaming until 12am. There needs to be more ranger presence, this truly altered our experience. The state park itself has great hiking and swimming area but the organized group sites were very mismanaged.

First part is a nice little course, after that you have the option to switch drivers. Then it's a pit area. Pay attention to the weather so you could dress accordingly. It rained for 2 days straight before we came here so we knew it was gonna be muddy. We were SOAKED by the end of it. We had water coming out of our shoes. It was awesome! Would totally recommend. They give you a briefing before your trip. I felt like it was totally reasonable rules, I drove myself at one point and really didn't find myself wanting to do what they advise against. My boyfriend hasn't stopped smiling since.

You can save time by booking online, you need to arrive early for a waiver sign off and possible helmet fittings. I booked a two-seater UTV for my SO's birthday and we had a blast. The cars are new and have better tech functions, especially with being able to connect to your own music via Bluetooth to have even more fun. We had a tour guide for our small group and off we went, racing through a course and flying through water. We were absolutely filthy by the end, so be prepared. We came with our own gloves, which helped make the driving experience more comfortable. I would highly suggest getting some sort of face covering so you do not end up with a mouthful of mud. They do not have bathrooms on site, but a hose station to do some maintenance and portable toilets. We're looking forward to trying out a snowmobile option in the months ahead.

I came into this thinking it would be a walk in the park...boy, was I wrong…read more Due to the recent snow and rain, 90% of the trail was muddy and wet which made for some hardcore ATV riding. Because of these heavy-duty full-size ATVs running over the same path over again & again, the muddy parts were at least 1-2 feet deep making for an extremely treacherous and bumpy ride that will jolt every bone in your body. Since I am light weight, half the time my tush was off the seat. I saw the middle guide stand up on his ATV when the bumpy parts came up so I followed suit. It helped but you have to hold onto your gears for dear life or else. Our ride consisted of 10 people and three guides. One guide leading the way, one in the middle and one at the end. If one rider gets themselves in a pickle, the guides will throw a hand signal for all of us to stop. Please pay attention during training to the instructions. It is important since it involves everyone's safety. I didn't think we would go so fast given that there were so many of us following one behind the other but we were going at a fast speed which made it exciting. Keep your eyes straight ahead and keep one ATV space between you and the one in the front. Stay alert at all times because the terrain will change on you within seconds. Tight turns were my favorite parts. There is a break in the middle of the ride for you to enjoy the scenery and take some pics and rest. The second part of the ride consists of going uphill and downhill. Propel harder to move uphill & brake going downhill if you have to. At the end of it all, you will get "Mud in Your Face" and all over your clothes and shoes. I spent an extra $5 for some plastic shoe coverings. Money well spent. Because I wore shorts, I had mud caked onto my legs. The people here are friendly but they are a bit like drill sergeants. Just pay attention and listen to them carefully.

A lot of people liked Pocono ATV so we chose them. But, like a lot of reviews said, the group is going to stay single file, most of your trip is under or about 10mph, and really this is for those who are beginner or moderate or timid drivers. My kid was one of the timid drivers who was in the front of the line and at the halfway stop point was pulled out and got to ride on her own with another guide so she was able to do her thing. Another member of the group specifically asked about the speed with the leader and he shrugged his shoulders explaining that this is how they run their show and if everyone was at a higher level, then they may have been able to do more at a higher speed. The maximum speed we got to for a very short distance was +/- 20mph. You know these machines are capable of much more and a lot of us were just wanting to rip! You do have to show some competency beforehand so you can go out in line, and my kid's girlfriend decided she did not want to drive and instead be a passenger. We were refunded the difference at the end, though. I did purchase the $5 (cash only) shoe coverings but for today really did not need them. The trails were more than ready for the ATVs and not wide enough in most places to even think about passing. A lot of rocky terrain and tree roots and just a little bit of mud left over from some rain. There was a quick review about the gas and brake beforehand and if you violate anything safety-wise that was explained, you're done for the day. The vehicles appeared to be newer Polaris ones and they had at least two which could hold two people. Everyone was required to wear helmets. Our guide also said that someone hit a tree recently and cost them an additional $900 for the damage. Based on the trails and trees, I'd say he was probably giving accurate information. About $95 each for the hour or so rides. As I said before, this would be more for the beginner or intermediate or timid riders who want an experience in riding /driving ATVs. It was nothing like our trip to Utah where we were given a map and told "see ya in a few hours." Still, a fun trip through the woods.

During summers, these areas can get really busy so I suggest coming early to claim a table/shelter. The 5 mile trail around the lake is mostly flat, a great walk for any age. My family and I also enjoy picking blueberries from the bushes that line the lake. September is when the fall foliage begins to come out but I would wait a bit longer before seeing the beautiful changing leaves!

My friend and I like to I hike and this was the closest to where we were staying…read more I'll agree like some other Yelpers that the trails are not especially well marked, that it can get quite muddy, and that the tree roots are very plentiful. Additionally, someone some time ago "decorated" a pine tree into a Christmas tree complete with ornaments and a manger. There's also the broken down house in the middle of nowhere. We both had fun trying to navigate and the awesome payoff was a massive powerful waterfall along the Tobyhanna Creek. We stayed a good 15 minutes just observing its greatness. If you're not careful in your step, you'll step in the mud and be S O L. You may consider hiking boots here instead of the sneakers I wore. Check out the shot videos I posted. If you like woods and a not too strenuous hiking trail steepness wise, this is a great place to check out.
