This was my first hike and it was beautiful!! We got lost a few times, but I learned there's an app to help you figure out the trail. Beautiful views and so peaceful!! Some areas were quite muddy, so wear some sneakers or boots you don't mind getting dirty. Would definitely recommend.

Found this hiking spot through the all trails app! The maps are quite faded at the entrance but easy to ready. BUT we managed to get lost quite a few times. The trails are not easily marked. We came up to one fork where one side said private property right on the sign for the trail. Very confusing but it didn't ruin our time! We enjoyed the beautiful water and trees! Trails are highly trafficked which causes a lot of roots to be prominent. Wear good shoes and be aware it can get muddy! We saw tons of dogs enjoying the water! Many spots available along the trail to sit and enjoy some food, even spots with picnic tables. No garbage cans in the actual trails so be kind and carry out what you carry in!

What an awesome place to take a hike or spend the day fishing. Nature at its finest.

Beautiful and easy to navigate! Parking was ample. Rushing water was so peaceful. Easy flat hike.

Great place to take a semi short hike. I wouldn't recommend taking a dog though, lots of rocks and and vines on the ground.

Great place to fish, have a picnic, and take your pooch! Really beautiful sights. Not a difficult trail, each to find spots to fish.

What a beautiful location, Blanche D Price, Memorial Park located in Pocono Pines Pennsylvania…read more My daughter booked and rented the Main Lodge in the park so she could have an indoor & outdoor setting, for a Wedding Reception. We were allowed to decorate, both indoors & outdoors, the tables & chairs were provided by the facility so you can set them up accordingly to how many guest and the type of celebration. We had approximately 200 guest, our celebration was for a BBQ wedding reception. Many of the guest complimented how spacious and roomy the venue they chose, they were delighted to see there was a playground just a few yards for the children to play and within eye's view from the main lodge. There is a small outdoor stage for entertainment but there is no shade or covering for the entertainers/musicians, granted you can provide a pop up tent if necessary. Inside the Lodge there is a small stage loft with lots of room for tables chairs and dancing.. The outside of the main lodge, is a wrap around deck for plenty of room to sets extra tables and chairs or hang out at the banister and listen to the music. Plenty of room to mingle with friends and meet the new family. The main lodge has its own male/female bathrooms,a kitchen, fridge, stove, oven there is a center island table for cutting or prepping, there is hot & cold water but no dishwasher so you will need to bring your kitchen amenities such as dish soap, trash bags etc. The location is well kept and clean as well as the playground equipment. was very happy & delighted to have such a wonderful venue to share with my family, my new family and friends for this memorable event.

Anyway I had a fabulous time. Read on for more por favor. My commentary is about the HIKING - nothing more nothing less. We had a tri-chapter meetup with my peeps from Body Liberation Outdoor Club - Northern NJ, Hudson Valley, and Eastern PA. Btdubs, if you're looking to enjoy the outdoors in an affirming space, holler at me. Anyway, we met at the Christman, Falls, and Cove Ridge trailhead and hiked a substantial loop to the falls, the Pohopoco river(?), and in and out of the woods. It was fantastic! Some nice elevation, soft packed trails, not too much mud, leafy forest bed, and as is common on the east coast - some roots and rocks to make sure you're paying attention. 5 miles of glorious spring sunshine and whispering trees. Couldn't ask for more! "The Way You Think It Is May Not Be the Way It Is At All."…read more This is the beautiful quote that's written out on the park's map that represents what this place truly is. As it states, it is a sanctuary - a sacred place for meditation, quietness and reflection. There are about 90 stones throughout the sanctuary - sourced locally and placed between 1980 and 2005 - that are nearly 3.6 billion (!) years old. Wow. There is a pond area as well, filled with koi fish and other little creatures. Since we've had a long, harsh winter in the North East this year, not much had bloomed and the trees were still bare with lots of anticipating bursts of spring ahead. I did capture a few daffodils and flowers poking their way through some of the brush. The trails are easy, natural and inviting. We arrived fairly early in the AM on a Saturday, and snagged a parking spot. There is limited parking and by the time we were leaving, the spots were all full. I would think the earlier in the day one can come, the better it is all around. Upon leaving a realized there is also a little Resource Center and Gem Shop by the fountains, but we were on our way out and skipped exploring this. Plus I was on my way to (a very clean!) porter-potty (so thankful one was on site.) toilet paper & hand sanitizer, too! Just as an FYI Thoroughly enjoyed coming here and exploring this beautiful, simple space. I love that they're a sanctuary, a non-profit organization committed to preserving nature's beauty and diversity. My heart was happy. Thankful. Inspiring. Would love to possibly create a similar nature sanctuary in the city one day.
