This is absolutely beautiful. Following the stream and you'll see ducks, beautiful trees, cut grass, small rapids, monuments, wooden bridge, small sprinkler in stream, play ground and more.

Nice park, spacious, several basketball courts. Great for leagues and tournaments. Very nice grounds and easy to get to.

Beautiful! Park, creek, pool, and basketball courts are terrific for a sunny summer day of 85 degrees.

Just be aware that there are times that the lot does get full; however there is street parking. I was surprised that we had no difficulty with parking today. It was such a gorgeous, dry late Sunday morning. For parents with babies and young children in strollers (and for other "pet parents" using strollers) I have a beagle who has difficulty walking. She needs a stroller so I have brought her many times with it.... I don't have difficulty on the walking paths or in the parking lot... it's very easy for me which is so nice. It means I can bring both dogs with me alone at times (today was a super bonus because my husband walked our other pup). As far as wheelchair accessibility, I need to check it out more carefully next time. Having spent only a small amount of time in a wheelchair a few decades ago - I can relate to how difficult it can be to get around. I am pretty sure it's very easily accessible. I will check everything when I go back... The restrooms are pretty clean most of the time. It's nice that they are there!! There are many benches throughout the park. It's hard not to be "in the moment" and "mindful" while at this park. There's so much beauty. Today we saw many ducks swimming. And the sunlight against the bright blue sky...... Didn't want to leave!!

With grassy fields, woodland routes, historical structures, and a duckpond this green space has something for everyone. Well maintained paved walking and biking loops of varying lengths and elevation provide a customizable outdoor experience. If you arrive early in the morning you're sure to run into friendly local fauna who call this place home. Find Trexler's cabin at one of the trail forks, and head up the hill to find a monument to the man himself. There are no picnic tables around but there are ample benches for resting and taking in the sights, and there is a public bathroom near the parking lot.

The 42 acre park contains an outdoor swimming pool, basketball courts, tennis courts, picnic pavilions, ball fields, a gymnasium, a band shell, banquet and meeting rooms and so much more. The pool hosts a swim team, swim lessons and lots of open swim time. Three massive events are held each summer. The antique truck show is in June. The Wheels of time auto show in late August and Das Awkscht Fescht event which I attended is held the first week of August. I was on location for the Pit at the Park barbecue contest but I was blown away by the most extensive car show, sale, flea market that I have ever experienced. The music was outstanding as well. Locals gathered early and set up their lawn chairs along the roads so they could view each car as it arrived. The park volunteers also organize bus trips and run weekly bingo. All facilities can be rented and 100% of proceeds are returned to the park to keep it going. Visit Macungie Memorial Park, it is a great place.

They aren't making meth! The exhibits are educational, and show the consequences of not watching out for wildlife driving. As mentioned a volunteer effort, and the primary goal, is to get people who live in cities and elsewhere, to learn about biology, ecology, and seeing something different. So glad to have found this peculiar yet family friendly place. Signs educate you about the trout hatchery pools and streams. Nets are across them, to prevent birds from attacking/eating the trout. There are five species of these fish, and heron are in the area looking at them still. You can if you choose pay 50 cents to $2, for a bag of fish food. My best guess is it's some type of dog food like pellets. You can choose how much to throw in, and watching hundreds if not thousands of fish swarm at one time is fascinating. Outstanding for teaching kids cause and effort, or perhaps classical conditioning too. One tank the trout wait for these pellets left over to roll their way. If you can donate to help this place out, you can with the on site wishing well. Credit cards aren't accepted, but it's just a few dollars. Fully recommend!
