If you live locally it may be worthwhile but the drive for me was such a waste of my time for what this was. Ready? It's a: Big Wooden Castle Yep, that's it, folks. A gigantic version of that swingset-clubhouse combo you bought at Costco only to rot in your backyard because spiders and rain made it so unpleasant for kids that they refuse to use it. It's that creepy clubhouse times 30! It's pretty much a regular playground with most kids swarming the swings and other play features with a few venturing into the old wood play structure. They go in once and don't go back in again. My son was cursed at by older boys who appeared beyond the age guidelines (and I was surprised to see them still interested in a playground). In the myopic darkness of the castle, my son banged his head when inside the dank structure there was suddenly an unmarked (unlit) drastic change in ceiling height. Needless to say this experience was a turn off. Most kids really preferred being out in daylight because the castle felt more like a dungeon. It was fun to see friends and we enjoyed the togetherness of the play date but unless I'm in the area and desperate for a kid distraction, I won't be back.

Between this park and Trexler Park it's hard to decide which is better because each one offers a lot. At Cedar Beach you're talking four basketball courts, four volleyball courts, a half mile walking trail around Lake Muhlenberg, various picnic pavilions and of course the star of the show; the 1900 square foot destination playground which is one of the finest in the area even if some things after almost six years are starting to show their age like a few of the swings that are currently missing, but I digress. The park itself is large and very open with plenty of space. There is many hiking trails, lake side trails and wooded trails. Perfect for walking, running, hiking or biking! Kayak and boat rentals are also available for the decent sized lake (which also has the notorious long bridge crossing the lake too)!! There are areas for picnics and fishing too. Plenty of parking for the park is available too! Green Lane Park is an awesome park, one of the best in the area. Its beautiful, scenic, and worth a visit!!

She needs a stroller so I have brought her many times with it.... I don't have difficulty on the walking paths or in the parking lot... it's very easy for me which is so nice. It means I can bring both dogs with me alone at times (today was a super bonus because my husband walked our other pup). As far as wheelchair accessibility, I need to check it out more carefully next time. Having spent only a small amount of time in a wheelchair a few decades ago - I can relate to how difficult it can be to get around. I am pretty sure it's very easily accessible. I will check everything when I go back... The restrooms are pretty clean most of the time. It's nice that they are there!! There are many benches throughout the park. It's hard not to be "in the moment" and "mindful" while at this park. There's so much beauty. Today we saw many ducks swimming. And the sunlight against the bright blue sky......
