Such a cool park for kids to play! The castle playground is so much fun! Highly recommend it :) there are multiple entrances to go in and mini slides (slanted ramps) for kids inside. You'll go around the maze until you find a way out. It does get pretty hot when you're exploring inside. Fun spot for kids, you can do some scavenger hunt on the side and play while tapping on lights in the music game section. Overall a nice park to kill some time.

Fabulous place for kids and parents to enjoy the day. Highly recommended. We will be back.

Great place for kids between the ages of 5 and 12. Intricate maze inside a wooden 4 story castle. Easy to loose small children inside, but low ceilings make it difficult for adults to follow. Advise is to send an older child instead:) There are also other playground equipment too that is fun for kids and adults of all ages.

One of the best playgrounds to bring your children. Its worth the drive up from Northeast Philadelphia to take my daughter here. We can spend hours here and my daughter could be entertained with so many things to do. The playground does get crowded so you have to be sure to arrive early, and everything is out in the open so be prepared accordingly with sun block, waters and everything you need for your child to have a great time. The castle is a fun playground filled of ropes to cross and tunnels to crawl through with different floors for your child to go up and down. There is also some ride on activities for the kids, swings, a tire swing, and a small rock climbing wall. There is also a small jungle gym on the grounds the kids will also enjoy while playing in the castle. There are also huge fields where you can play sports and things with your family, there are bathrooms up near the fields as well a bit away from the castle area.

I absolutely love this park. I loved it when I was a kid and as an adult I still enjoy going. The trail/path here is so nice and if you do ALL of it - close to 3 miles which is a nice walk. I go here with friends, with my dog. I love that they have a public restroom and ample parking although when there are games be prepared for it to be a little crowded. For dog owners they have multiple poop bag dispensaries and they have plenty of field to picnic on as well. A good spot in the middle of doylestown! Very well up-kept too!

If you live in the area with small kids and haven't been here yet, you don't know what you're missing. This is hours of free entertainment, creativity, and adventure for kids. The park is newly renovated and very clean. The giant Castle is amazing. Its got handcrafted detail with an elaborate, multi-level maze inside. There are many different playground rides and structures surrounding. One unique thing it has (besides a giant castle) is a life sized interactive light-tag game. Your kids will love this place and so will you.

This place is amazing! My girls, ages 12 and 8 said it was the BEST playground every.

    Walking towards main play area

We were visiting Sesame Place and I happened to find this suggested in a visitors guide. This playground is fantastic! It was very busy on a mild February day so I probably wouldn't go here in the summer. BUT it was so great that I would go visit that area of PA again just to go to this park.

Until a few years ago I had never heard the term "destination playground" but after finding out about Kids Castle it's fairly obvious what the term means. Kids Castle I assume was built somewhere around fifteen to twenty years ago when larger wooden play areas were all the rage. The problem is that they are a real PIA to maintain and without adequate money, time, volunteers and support they begin to breakdown which is why a lot of municipalities over the years have replaced their wooden structures with the far more boring/mundane space age polymer play sets that are everywhere. Thankfully when Kids Castle needed a major overhaul a few years ago a large community effort was put together to raise private funds to completely rehab the entire structure and eventually the entire play area. Kids Castle is essentially a giant wooden castle Playground built for kids ages 5-12. There are towers to climb, wooden elevators, swings, a pirate ship, mini rock climbing walls and bridges, and possibly best of all, two large spiraling slides. There are plenty of picnic tables, walking paths, sheltered areas and restroom facilities are available in the adjacent Central Park. There are picnic benches and tables, so bring a lunch or snacks, but be sure to clean up after yourself. Some areas do have overhangs in case of bad weather or too much sun! Dogs are welcome in the park but not within the playground area. Kids Castle is an obvious winner and is worth the drive which in our case borders on an hour in each direction. When you go: The hours are simply seven days a week - Dawn to Dusk. Ignore the comments about parking being a big issue as while the place does get very busy, parking is rarely a problem unless there is some large birthday happening in the one pavilion along with a soccer/lacrosse/field hockey game/practice at the same time. If your kid is some hyper active gadget crazed mutant than yes they will not care about this place at an abnormally young age but for the rest of the normal kids you will see a huge age range here from toddler up until early teens for the most part all coexisting without issue. Supposedly some GPS issues arise by using the Wells Road address but if Kids Castle doesn't appear then search for either the Doylestown Police Department, Township Admin Building or Central Park as any of the above will put you where you want to be.

If you have kids from ages 5 to 12 this is such a fun Play area to take them. If there under the age of 5 then be prepared to walk in the castle with them. A huge castle with alot of swings and a pirateship, with places for the parents to sit and relax while the kids have a great time. Pack yourself and the kids a lunch in a cooler and spend the day with many of picnic tables. In around the area to enjoy. On most weekends and everyday in the summer the ice cream truck is there selling ice cream. So bring a few bucks for you and the kids. This is a fun way to enjoy the day if you are not up to spending alot of money esle were. Many of times its so packed it's tough to find a place to park. But if your are patient enough you see vehicles come and go every 15 to 20 min.

This place is EPIC. Both of my daughters (10 & 4yo) loves it. The castle is huge and there are plenty of places to walk around. Can't wait to go again!

    Has the castle reopened yet?

    Yes fully up and running

Is the castle area gated in? Meaning is there more than just a one way in, one way out setup?

It is currently closed. We will have to wait and see the final product once it opens. Currently, no one can play on it.

This playground was recommended by my son's chiro's office. Just as a place to go, nothing chiro…read morespecial about it. There is a lot of large equipment, but not a whole lot of variety or imagination in the different interactive functions. Reeves Park's playground (Phoenixville), Smith Memorial Playground (Fairmount Park), Freedom Playground (Haverford), and Aston Twp's new playground all have really imaginitive stuff, and just as large of an expanse (if not larger). I also have to give props to the Reeves Park and Freedom playgrounds for being fenced in (Smith is, but it's so big, the fence is not as containing as it could be). Kids Dream is not fenced, unfortunately, because it is a layer of safety I always appreciate, for young kids who run, and also just to keep out wandering dogs (the ones on a long leash whose caretakers aren't paying attention) or to dissuade sketchy people from hanging around (sorry but they're everywhere). There is a nearby walking trail, and it's also adjacent to township offices (shared parking lot). I do have to comment that there was a bit of litter generally around, which is never okay for a kids' playground. Also, this playground is pretty crowded. Parents seemed adequately considerate, but honestly, all the abovementioned playgrounds had a better vibe to me. Maybe because this place was built up by my recommendation and the reviews, but it wasn't as great as my expectations (and comparative experiences).

Fantastic playground!! Huge plenty of options of what to play on. Love it! Will be back for sure…read more Not far from the shopping areas. Conveniently located.

Verterans Park is a nice sized park that's easily accessible from multiple points. The park is…read morewell equipped with various sporting facilities, including tennis courts, volleyball nets and even a small, ver basic, skate park. There's even a location for roller hockey. There are play areas for kids, and picnic tables (including covered picnic locations) for families looking to spend some time out of doors. It can be very crowded on a nice weekend, which is both good and bad, as I'm glad that they park is being used by the Township's citizens, but at the same time, you always want the nice places all for yourself. There are parking areas on different sides of the park, and I prefer to park on the Hamilton/Whitehorse Road side, but that spot is pretty small, is popular with runners, and fills up especially fast on weekends. To make matters worse, for some reason the City recently installed E-Car charging stations there (sure, pick the smallest lot--nice work, Hamilton), so parking in those four spaces is no longer available for anyone, as the even the e-cars must leave after charging. There are well paved paths that lead through the park, and there are park maps located in a few places along the main paved paths. There are also dirt trails that lead through the more wooded areas in the park, but sadly, they are very poorly marked--meaning almost not at all, and it's up to you to figure them out. However, the park isn't so big that you can really get lost, so...go out and try to get lost, and you'll figure out the dirt trails soon enough. They aren't nearly as popular as the paved trails, so they should be your destination if the sensation of having the park to yourself is a goal. There's a dog park located by the Kuser Road entrance. There's a fenced in area for large and smaller dogs, but to be brutally honest, both areas are tiny compared to the expansive dog park located at Rosedale Park in nearby Pennington. That said, if you just want to bring your dog to a place where they can socialize and you're not worried about them having a place to run, it's fine. Just make sure you walk them through the main park itself before or after so that they can get some exercise. On the negative side, other than the poorly marked dirt trails and the underwhelming size of the dog park, the main problem in Veterans Park, which is pretty much the main problem in every park in the county. The city recently put up signs saying there will be improvements made to the paths that include separate bike lanes. It's a good idea, and a necessary one , but I'll be surprised if the people on feet respect the bike lines. Prove me wrong, Hamilton!
