The review is for adjoining kids playground. Describing a visit in mid January 2021 on a Friday afternoon. PROS: It's a solid wooden structure. It has nice bridges, slides and labyrinths for various ages. We liked the swings too. There's a dedicated 2-5 yrs play area. It's surrounded by fence for kids safety. CONS: The visual appeal is not well maintained. Paint is faded and chipping away. Many tiles cracked or missing. Sand boxes are nearly empty. Playground needs some face lift. Also called Once Upon a Playground. It has a large wooden storybook castle that is really cool. It has a sandbox that has a cover to keep out the sun. Small picnic pavilion and restrooms in nearby facility. Also a skate park for older kids and a basketball court. They also have day camps. read more

If you ask my kids, they'll tell you 5 and they are really the ones who matter here right? There's a big, beautiful castle structure, decorated with hand painted mosaic tiles! It has curly slides and straight slides, places to climb and slide down. Monkey bars, bridges and spider nets, oh my! The space is divided into two sections, one for the smaller kids ages 2-5 and the other for everyone. I think that is key to a successful playspace. They have tire swings, regular swings and baby swings. There are two sandboxes which have a few toys and are located under a wooden roof. Great for protecting sensitive bald baby heads from the sun. Planted trees for shade on hot days with wooden benches around to sit. The entire wooden playspace is gated in as the park is located on a busy street. I feel completely safe having my kiddos here. There are always ducks around we like to feed so bring your stale bread for extra fun! There's another playspace by the soccer/football fields where the bathrooms are located. They are relatively clean for a park bathroom There are 4 picnic tables under a pavilion and one in the sun. 3 tennis courts, basketball courts and a mini skate park. We have never had a problem parking right out front, but parking is only allowed on one side. Recycling bins and trash and are around and the park is fairly clean. Grab a blanket and some goodies from The co-op and make an afternoon of it or run across to Rita's as a treat after on a summer day. There is a train that runs behind the park but there's a steep hill, water and then a large hill to conquer before you would get to it. Definitely not worrisome for tots. Maybe for teenagers. read more

This is an excellent park! I am a nanny for three kids, 10, 6, and 3. All three of them had fun, so it was good for all ages!! When we were there however, a piece of the sandbox had broken and was just hanging by a nail, if someone had stepped on it they would've fallen into the sand pit. Also, I wish the bathrooms were a little closer. Other than that though, great park!! read more

The main playground area is a fun place for preschoolers to explore and play. The storybook castle theme leads to lots of imaginative play. This is a well designed play area that is fenced in on all sides, except for the entrance, which is helpful to prevent escapees. There is a large sandbox area under cover, so bring some sand toys if your little ones like to dig. There are several benches and seating areas in the playground for caregivers to sit and wait while kids play. Some equipment is well worn, but nothing was broken. The swings could use some more mulch, as the ground underneath is well dug up from swingers dragging their feet. Nearby the main playground is a small picnic pavilion along with a small building containing rest rooms that seem moderately well maintained. Also nearby is a second, smaller playground and sports fields. Wall park also has a skate park that always seems popular. Parking nearby is convenient. read more

Wall park is a large Cheltenham Township park with a variety of facilities. They have two playground areas, one of which is the biggest in the area. They have a skate park which seems popular, but not being a skater myself, I don't know how to judge its quality. The majority of the area of the park is set aside for sports fields. There are some covered picnic tables and bathroom facilities. At the edge of the park is the Wall House, a structure from 1682, which is open on Sunday afternoons as a museum. In my opinion the park needs more shade trees and more frequent playground maintenance, but it's still a fairly nice place to let your kids run wild. read more

The park has 2 nice playground areas. Both appear to be well maintained. The castle area is the most popular playground. The skate park always has kids in it. The tennis courts look well maintained. There is a basketball court. And there is a covered picnic area with a few tables. The cons: There is dog poop all over the open grassy area. The bathrooms were locked when we were there on a week day (early evening, and the park was busy). Too many unsupervised kids. read more

Great park for kids, a large wooden castle/fort/shop play area and another older metal jungle gym a little further away. Always busy with kids playing and in the summer the ice cream truck comes around. The skate park looks old and apparently has issues with trash. VERY close by is an ice skating rink for those of you with older kids (I have not been). read more

The playground itself is nice and so is the surrounding park area, but what makes this a place to avoid are mainly the people who go there. These are my observations. If you like watching your tax dollars being trashed, with literal trash being thrown on the ground as if there are no trash cans, this is your place. If you like really loud music while watching your kid in the sandbox, this is your spot. A woman decided everyone should hear her music and even though the people she was with said it was really loud, instead of turning it down she loudly said , " If they don't like loud music then they can leave the park." I guess she meant me and the other 40 people trying to enjoy our time at the park with our children. On several occasions there have been situations with my children and others children that needed a small amount of parental guidance however, I would highly recommend that if your kid gets punched, kicked or otherwise abused you may consider not approaching their parent because at a moments notice these parents will throw down. No wonder their children are so aggressive. The general rules seem to be 1. Immediately become loud 2. Intimidate and curse 3. Show zero interest in compromise. 4. Set a bad example for kids. And scare them. There have been 1 too many instances where I felt intimidated to be there, even though I live in the area and pay lots and lots of taxes. We all have a right to be there, but some obviously believe that they have more of a right than others. I believe the best time to go is at odd times when there are few people there, dinner time during the week or when school is in during the day. read more
