By the time I needed a rest stop I was near bursting. Pulled off of the highway and found myself a spot. There are separate areas for tractor tailers and regular vehicles. Trucks to the left, everything else to the right. The rest stop is about as plain as they come. Loads of space outside if you need to stretch your legs. Inside wasn't anything grand. I walked the length of the sidewalk and ventured over towards what looks like a maintenance shed for the areas water. While down there it appears there is a small monument to something. I'm not sure what it was for, but it is behind a fence, no way to get close enough to inspect it fully. Easy to get back onto the highway after the stop.

The trucks use the areas on both sides for parking, so keep an eye out for them too. The rest area has the usual with restrooms, vending machines and a spot for dog walking. It's nice and green here, a great break from fighting with highway traffic. Unlike New York, Pennsylvania does not have limits on how long you can stay and I did not see any signs. The center is spacious, and the building and facilities are kept in good condition. When it's a good day out, there's a beautiful view during the day. There's enough parking for the crowds that come in, and usually at least one staffer and one clean up person working here during the day. There is PA memorabilia hanging in one section of the building, and places to sit giving it a homey feel. This center is nice enough that it's even worth making the U-Turn if you're going Northbound on US-15 instead, although I think stopping at a fast food place or such will do for 99% of people just fine.

They keep the place very clean and safe. The roof top area have tables and chairs for picnic and rest. One thing to watch for are the roadway directions. The interior is the odd part, as I've never seen the Auntie Anne's or Sbarro's open, and I've stopped here several times. I've seen both the Chick-Fil-A and Starbucks open, but if you stop here on a Sunday? The Starbucks might be the only option. The Chick-Fil-A here is also expensive. Why stop here? The bathrooms are clean and it's perhaps this travel plaza's best feature. There is a small convenience store that has a limited selection if you are in a pinch. Overall, for most people, you'll want to stop at the TA a short drive down the road instead.
