This was on our list of places but we called around to several other inns first. They were all booked so we ended up here, what luck! The Inn is a few homes down from Main Street Bloomsburg which has several restaurants and other activities to choose from. It is owned and operated by George and his wife (didn't catch her name). The place is large with several common rooms, snacks, and a wrap around porch. There is a side door and you get a key so you can come and go as you please. Our room had a comfy bed, large bathroom, and direct tv. In the morning George cooks an amazing breakfast and I can almost promise the other guests will join you. Overall, I would highly recommend this to parents of Bloomsburg students or anyone looking to get away for the weekend. As a Knoebels enthusiast I was not sure how far this place would be and it turns out it is super close. Don't think twice about staying here!

While we were enjoying the pool, the owner approached my 16-year-old son -- without any greeting or introduction -- and rudely told him, "you don't think much," simply because he was drinking a can of carbonated water. He then gave him the choice to either throw it away or leave the pool area entirely. Update: After leaving a respectful but honest review, the owner came to our site and kicked us out. We were quiet, respectful guests. This kind of retaliatory behavior speaks volumes about how guests are treated here. Avoid this place if you value a safe, welcoming environment. This kind of unprovoked and disrespectful comment toward a teenager is completely unacceptable. The owner then went on to scold the kids for playing with the fountains in the pool -- which begs the question, what are the fountains for if not for enjoyment? To top it off, he cleared the entire pool area by 1 PM on a hot Saturday, which just added to the unwelcoming and unfriendly atmosphere. We felt uncomfortable and unwelcome during what was supposed to be a fun family getaway. We will absolutely not be returning, and we don't recommend this campground to anyone looking for a warm, family-friendly environment.

Weekly activities at the Campground, potluck dinners and bingo are our favorites. Plenty of adventures located a short drive away like rafting and mountain bike trails. This Campground is good for pull along campers, RV's and those old fashion tents that you stake on the ground. Community pool, game room, lake with fish, a large Pavillion, children playground, hot showers, toilets, laundry and a store with everything you need that you forgot to bring.

They had some visitor information pamphlets and they sell the tickets for the historic trolley tours inside, but if you are looking for a train ticket, be sure to go to the booth at the North end of the building. They do not allow dogs inside, but we were able to take our dog on the train, so my husband and I had to take turns standing outside in the cold with her while the other went to the restroom and looked around. We didn't find much to do in the city and we didn't love our train ride, but as far as visitors centers go, this one is solid.

I had never been to the town before and was pleasantly surprised with all of the little restaurants on the main road in town. The Inn itself was perfect, and clean, and quaint in this magnificent 150 year old building. We stayed in "Grampa's Room" which was wonderful with a very large and comfortable bed, but the best thing was the breakfast which surpassed anything we had ever had at any B&B before. The owner actually made the bread for the scrumptious French Toast served to us in an elegant dining room that I could have stayed in forever. Check in was very easy and the staff are very friendly. My only issue was letting campers check in at 11 a.m. when we were trying to leave this morning. VERY narrow one-lane paths and a trailer wanted to get passed up while we were hooking up our truck (flat tow). What a fiasco. Check in is supposed to be 3 p.m. so those checking out can get through. Otherwise, what a fun time we had.

The entire place is comfortable, clean, and quiet - just what I want when I'm going on a vacation! The grounds are nice as well, and we had a nice late afternoon walking around the grounds and watching deer from the porch! The breakfasts are great, very delicious and filling, and they even cater to coffee addicts like me by having a keurig out and available all day long. It's a short drive to Ricketts Glen state park from here, and if you are planning a trip out there I HIGHLY recommend staying here. It's the perfect place to relax after a hike in the park!
