The Inn at Turkey Hill is an extraordinary establishment. The dinner and breakfast that we had were delicious and the rooms were spotless and smelled clean ( no air fresheners or awful carpet cleaner smells) . They were like staying in a luxury cabin with a tile floor that looked like wood and a bathroom with an attractive stone floor shower and good water pressure. We also were able to open the window for fresh air which is very rare in most hotels today. There is a great area to walk the dogs and the dogs were welcomed. Andrew, the owner and his wonderful staff are professional, kind, thoughtful and make you feel completely at home. We enjoyed our stay so much that we had trouble making ourselves get back on the road to complete our trip. I hope to stay there every time I cross the country. Meal started with a gorgeous salad and bread, followed by a palate cleanser of a bit of lemon sorbet. The main course of this pork chop, asparagus, potatoes was perfectly done. Well seasoned and expertly cooked. And the creme' brûlée for desert was, again, perfectly done. Not sure who the chef is, but OMG, they nailed fine dining. This was on our list of places but we called around to several other inns first. They were all booked so we ended up here, what luck! The Inn is a few homes down from Main Street Bloomsburg which has several restaurants and other activities to choose from. It is owned and operated by George and his wife (didn't catch her name). The place is large with several common rooms, snacks, and a wrap around porch. There is a side door and you get a key so you can come and go as you please. Our room had a comfy bed, large bathroom, and direct tv. In the morning George cooks an amazing breakfast and I can almost promise the other guests will join you. Overall, I would highly recommend this to parents of Bloomsburg students or anyone looking to get away for the weekend. As a Knoebels enthusiast I was not sure how far this place would be and it turns out it is super close. Don't think twice about staying here!

The made to order breakfast is fantastic. This last visit I had carmalized french toast with perfect bacon and a sweet fruit cup. It was wonderfully delish! The entire place is comfortable, clean, and quiet - just what I want when I'm going on a vacation! The grounds are nice as well, and we had a nice late afternoon walking around the grounds and watching deer from the porch! The breakfasts are great, very delicious and filling, and they even cater to coffee addicts like me by having a keurig out and available all day long. The wait staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming. While the brunch menu left a bit to be desired, I kept it simple with two eggs and toast. The food itself wasn't the highlight of the experience--instead, it's the setting and ambiance that truly make the Stegmaier special. Every detail has been thoughtfully curated, from the vintage salt holders and silverware to the historic décor. One of the standout touches was the tableside Bloody Mary service, presented on a tray with droppers of truffle oil and hot sauce so you could customize it to your liking. The staff also encouraged us to explore the upper floors, which added to the experience. The grand piano in the entrance, the stunning chandelier lining the staircase, and the beautiful stained-glass windows made the building feel both elegant and full of history. I think dinner is probably where the Stegmaier truly shines. Owners Linda and Bill have created a lovely and calming atmosphere throughout this historic home. Classic and uncluttered, all the rooms are spotlessly clean and appointed with comfortable beds and well chosen simple decor. Certainly not the stereotypical lace, floral wallpapered and wall-to-wall dusty antique kind of B&B. Breakfast is always delicious, as are the frequent evening cookies left on the entry table for guests to enjoy at the end if the day. Will continue to make this our home-away-from-home when visiting our Bucknell student.

After a day of work-related travel, coming back to soft music, a glass of sherry, and chocolates was probably among the nicest travel experiences I've had. If you're curious about the history of the home, the rooms also feature a picture book with facts about the home and pictures of all the guest rooms. I enjoyed reading it over while having a glass of tea from the Keurig in the upstairs hallway. We unexpectedly had to travel to the Scranton area 2 get married under some difficult family circumstances with my father-in-law ill at the time. I wanted to make our wedding night something special despite the fact that it was not as planned. The owner was able, on short notice, to make arrangements to have a small wedding cake in our room, and had sparkling cider ready for us when we returned from exchanging our vows. The Silo room is the honeymoon suite of this location. A multi floor Suite with Gorgeous views, the Silo Room has a separate area with couch and television, as well as a oversized bathroom with whirlpool tub. A small kitchenette with coffee or tea making supplies, a small fridge and microwave made this a mini home away from home. One of the minor but strange things about this location is the door between the bathroom and the bedroom in The Silo room only has lace. You can look directly from the toilet to the bedroom, so if you are sharing that room with someone make sure there aren't any secrets between you! Breakfast was simple fare, but fresh and plentiful. Our order was taken the night before and everything was ready when we came downstairs. We had an omelet with ham and cheese, plenty of toast and muffins, and hot tea . If you like train memorabilia, this place is the spot for you. The owner has a mind-boggling assortment of miniature trains, antiques, signs and collectibles. There are other buildings in the Red Barn Village complex, including a retro store, a market, and mini golf. We did not get a chance to experience those, and we may need to do so next time. There will definitely be a next time, the owner here cares about his customers and it shows.

The BnB is within driving distance of restaurants in Bloomsburg and the Knoebels amusement park. We definitely plan to come back and stay here whenever I have business in Bloomsburg or when visiting Knoebels. When we left after the 3rd day we felt we had made some new friends in Frank and Diana.
