I was looking for a place to stay while visiting my daughter at Bucknell University in central PA…read more I happened to find this place while googling a vrbo-type place and found this fabulous place to stay. This is our 2nd weekend to stay at this lovely cottage (used to be a barn) which has wonderful sleeping accommodations for many people. It's like a large studio with a kitchen, desk, dining area, bathroom, living room and bedroom. There's a TV with Direct TV, a stereo system, a bookshelf with books, DVD's and CD's. If there are more than 2 people staying, the owners add a twin bed. There's also a futon and a sofa sleeper for 1. In speaking with the owner, she really wanted to make this place as comfortable as can be and has added many amenities to make your stay comfortable. The refrigerator has jam, butter, peanut butter, fruit, yogurt, granola, orange juice to get your morning started. She also provides guests with bread or muffins in the morning. Of course there is coffee or tea ready to brew. When you wake up in the morning, you open up the blinds to a beautiful yard which you can wander around and enjoy the arbor swing. I wish I had discovered this place sooner because it's a wonderful and relaxing place to stay.

While essentially a single space, it is nicely divided into a separate bedroom area, a roomy living area and a comfortable kitchen. A large bathroom and a second bedroom complete the layout. The entire cottage is nicely decorated and is also very neat and clean. Both the bathroom and kitchen are well equipped and user friendly. A variety of snacks are provided. What also makes The Barn special is that it is definitely dog friendly. We always bring our small dog with us and he seems to enjoy the experience as much as we do. There is a basket of dog toys near the front door, dog treats are provided and two dog bowls are located in the kitchen area. Thus, both human and canine guests are warmly welcomed! Not only is the cottage itself a wonderful retreat but it is located on a beautiful piece of property that is very nicely landscaped and easily accessed. A well constructed concrete walk leads directly from the parking area to the front door. At the rear of the house, a sliding glass door opens onto the large backyard which slopes gently down to a beautiful meadow. Guests are invited to walk the property and we are always happy to do so. Despite the bucolic atmosphere, The Barn is very conveniently located. It is within a couple of miles of downtown Lewisburg, Bucknell University and a variety of stores and restaurants. Finally, the the owners, Tanya and Fred, are friendly, accommodating and clearly committed to providing their guests with a wonderful experience. I can honestly say that we've thoroughly enjoyed each visit and always look forward to our next stay. I wholeheartedly recommend The Barn at Pheasant Ridge to anyone visiting the Lewisburg area. The comfortableness of the lobby, meal area access throughout the day with fresh fruit, endless coffee/tea and fresh baked cookies each day was a perfect addition. We met Lisa, who worked in the breakfast area several days we were there and was extremely kind and helpful each morning. She made the experience of being a guest, an amazing event and grateful for her friendliness to my family. The rooms were clean, freshened up each day by request and the wonderful staff who cleaned our room were gracious and friendly each day too. 100% sure you should stay here! Don't make a mistake and stay somewhere else. You will not be disappointed.

Upon parking huge parking area lots of space to get your car in and out and close to the front entrance. Walking in the door. It smells clean and fresh with all updated decor and furnishings that are spotless. The front desk was being handled. Perfectly, and even with your busy staff here, they still took the time to greet me and tell me they would be with me. My room is spacious and large, super clean and has all kinds of extra little amenities. Free breakfast in the morning is a perk. I am only five minutes from Bucknell University, so I will be staying here again. The next time I take the trip up.

I stopped at the front desk on arrival and the woman working was very kind and accommodating. She gave me a room key in case I had any issues with the digital key (which now showed it was working). They had cookies set out as well, which is always a nice welcome, along with free bottled water. I stayed in room 300 (digital key worked just fine). I prefer rooms at or near the end of hallways away from elevators. I ended up choosing the end of the hall that is closest to the main road so there was occasional street noise but it wasn't constant. The room is very clean - the bathroom looks like it was recently renovated...also very clean. They have all the amenities of a Hampton Inn - gym, free parking, free breakfast. It's my preferred chain for travel. This location has a pool as well so that's nice for families. I would definitely stay at this location again.

Relatively quiet, except some hall noise from doors closing. No noise from outside. Plenty of parking. One of the other reviewers noted that it wasn't renovated... but then it wasn't beat up by the gas industry animals over the past few years either. Carpet, furniture, TV all in very good condition. Close to food, gas, and shopping. Staff is friendly, check in is quick. There are train tracks on the other side of US-15, but I haven't heard any train noise. Other amenities include a pool and gym.

We have come to know Peggy and Tony (the owners) as friends and we wouldn't even think of staying anywhere else in the area. The rooms are clean, beautiful and comfortable. Peggy is a great cook and Tony plays a mean ukulele. One of the rooms has its own bathroom and the other two share a bath. They are all great. You can't go wrong.
