Beagle's....what can we say...you're just the best in the biz! We just wrapped up our 6th year staying at Beagle's and each time it gets harder and harder to say goodbye. We have quite a large group so we rent out the entire house and Georgia and Reid could not be more accommodating! The house is perfectly quaint and immaculate. Each morning we were greeted with a hot homemade delicious breakfast with everything you can think of. All made with lots of love too :) We have a few folks with a gluten allergy and Georgia always makes sure there are options for everyone. Nothing like your kids waking you up early so they don't miss "the buffet" only to run in the dining room to greet Reid with a big hug and a few high fives. It's not unusual for us to hang around with a second cup of coffee just to listen to some of Georgia and Reid's stories about growing up in the area, the history of Beagles and just some great life advice...and if you're lucky enough Reid will play you some tunes on one of his guitars. The house has a ton of ground for the kids to play. It also has a massive wrap around porch with ample benches, swings, tables and chairs for the perfect night cap. It's only a 10 min drive to Knoebels so coming and going is incredibly easy. The Beagle's have become very much a part of our family now and we couldn't have asked for better stay. We're already booked up for next year...only 364 days to go! Love you guys!

enjoyed relaxing on the porch

I have been going to Lewisburg my entire life and never knew of this little gem. We visited…read moreLewisburg recently for my Dad's memorial. As sometimes can be the case, finding a place to stay can be tough. This time it was impossible with a swim meet and weddings in town. I stumbled across The Stained Glass Inn while searching the web. Reserved a 3 night stay and hoped for the best. It was perfect. This old historic home is beautiful and decorated with gorgeous antiques. The architecture and history of this town is fascinating. Our host, Chuck, was so accommodating and added to the charm of this endearing small town Americana experience. Sunbury has an actual downtown area with a beautiful park and springtime flowers were everywhere. Dinner at the Chestnut Street Inn was an unexpected surprise. We were welcomed like locals to this casual eatery that served up a downright gourmet meal for $12. The lobster & shrimp cakes dinner was out of this world. What The Stained Glass Inn is not? A fancy, stuffy B&B with everything new and sparkling. It is not large, only 3 rooms. It is not a sleepy town, the train goes through and logging trucks pass by on trips to the mill. It is not a town of quaint little shops to spend too much money on touristy trinkets. It appears to be a town with a struggling economy filled with hard working good people. In a nutshell, we loved it. We will go back in the future. No more hotels for us. Oh, and I forgot to mention one thing. Chuck takes orders for & prepares individual breakfast menus. Who does that at a typical B&B?! Pam & Neil Indialantic, FL

The accommodations couldn't have been any better if I had made reservations. While I retrieved my bags from the car (I had suspected that I might not be able to make it home that day), Chuck, one of the owners, tidied up my room. Chuck then gave me a tour of the second floor where I would be staying. The decor had a homey but modern sensibility. My room was well-appointed and included a gas fireplace, plenty of towels and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast the following morning was filling and delicious. On leaving, Chuck carried my suitcase to my car. I had to walk across the street to make an appointment and he actually stayed to clean the snow off my car and brought the keys to me when he was done...above and beyond the call of duty! I highly recommend the Stained Glass Inn and plan on staying there more often.
