About to depart this wonderful B&B, but wanted to take few minutes to give them an overdue review…read more I've stayed in four of the five guest rooms over at least eight different stays and can't recommend the Copper Beech highly enough. Owners Linda and Bill have created a lovely and calming atmosphere throughout this historic home. Classic and uncluttered, all the rooms are spotlessly clean and appointed with comfortable beds and well chosen simple decor. Certainly not the stereotypical lace, floral wallpapered and wall-to-wall dusty antique kind of B&B. Breakfast is always delicious, as are the frequent evening cookies left on the entry table for guests to enjoy at the end if the day. Will continue to make this our home-away-from-home when visiting our Bucknell student.

Bill and Linda were extremely welcoming and friendly. The home itself is beautiful and meticulously furnished. After a day of work-related travel, coming back to soft music, a glass of sherry, and chocolates was probably among the nicest travel experiences I've had. If you're curious about the history of the home, the rooms also feature a picture book with facts about the home and pictures of all the guest rooms. I enjoyed reading it over while having a glass of tea from the Keurig in the upstairs hallway. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip through Pennsylvania... and next time I might stay longer!

This was on our list of places but we called around to several other inns first. They were all booked so we ended up here, what luck! The Inn is a few homes down from Main Street Bloomsburg which has several restaurants and other activities to choose from. It is owned and operated by George and his wife (didn't catch her name). The place is large with several common rooms, snacks, and a wrap around porch. There is a side door and you get a key so you can come and go as you please. Our room had a comfy bed, large bathroom, and direct tv. In the morning George cooks an amazing breakfast and I can almost promise the other guests will join you. Overall, I would highly recommend this to parents of Bloomsburg students or anyone looking to get away for the weekend. As a Knoebels enthusiast I was not sure how far this place would be and it turns out it is super close. Don't think twice about staying here!

We stayed in the Lavender Room where the temperature was just right, the bed was so comfy that we slept for nine hours, and there was privacy. This experience was the exact opposite of what I had imagined. Allyson, the innkeeper, made sure our experience was ideal. Our breakfast was nice and relaxing, too. I'm so glad we stayed here:)

Her hospitality is top notch. We've stayed with her a few times and always choose the top floor "Maids Quarters". It a step back in time and enjoy it very much. It does sit on the main road but Allison has thought of that with a cool sound machine to take to you the beach while you slumber. Comes with everything you'll need with some special extras. The made to order breakfast is fantastic. This last visit I had carmalized french toast with perfect bacon and a sweet fruit cup. It was wonderfully delish! Day before perfect executed poached eggs on homemade wheat beer bread toast. The combination was so so good. We will return again and maybe try one of the other quaint cozy rooms.

The guest house is a one bedroom in-law attached to the hosts house with a full kitchen and separate bedroom, full bath, linens and towels provided everything you need including coffee and coffee maker! There is also a lovely deck to enjoy your morning coffee! I cannot say enough about this wonderful find! It's peaceful and quiet and comfortable.

Kinda hard to gauge these places as there is a wide breadth in quality for a lot of these items. My party received the crab fries and I got the fried haddock. The crab fries were excellent. Enough crab and cheese for each individual fry. I forget the specific sauce but I found myself dunking frequently. The fried haddock was light, flaky whitefish but filling. The tartar sauce was excellently tangy and refreshing. I have a feeling they make it in-house. I had two beers and the tab came out to around $40. For a Friday evening, I would call this a high quality experience to banter with friends or coworkers.

The food is on point, the faces are familiar and welcoming the atmosphere is warm and the patio is beautiful. Tonight we celebrated my mom's birthday. My parents love the fish dinner. The crab fries are my go to. This night happened to be steak night. We shared the sharing steak board special and it did not disappoint and fed 3 adults and a toddler! Desserts were yummy as well. While I get the raspberry cheesecake every chance I get if they have it, tonight we had the blueberry and banana deserts. And they were amazing! The tour guides are locals who know the history because their families lived it. To be deep in a coal shaft and learn about the lives early coal miners lived from their own community really resonates. Be sure to bring a hoody or long sleeve shirt as it does get chilly down in the shaft, even on a hot summer day. You can buy long sleeve shirts in the gift shop as well.
