Owners Linda and Bill have created a lovely and calming atmosphere throughout this historic home. Classic and uncluttered, all the rooms are spotlessly clean and appointed with comfortable beds and well chosen simple decor. Certainly not the stereotypical lace, floral wallpapered and wall-to-wall dusty antique kind of B&B. Breakfast is always delicious, as are the frequent evening cookies left on the entry table for guests to enjoy at the end if the day. Will continue to make this our home-away-from-home when visiting our Bucknell student.

Bill and Linda were extremely welcoming and friendly. The home itself is beautiful and meticulously furnished. After a day of work-related travel, coming back to soft music, a glass of sherry, and chocolates was probably among the nicest travel experiences I've had. If you're curious about the history of the home, the rooms also feature a picture book with facts about the home and pictures of all the guest rooms. I enjoyed reading it over while having a glass of tea from the Keurig in the upstairs hallway. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip through Pennsylvania... and next time I might stay longer!

We stayed in the Lavender Room where the temperature was just right, the bed was so comfy that we slept for nine hours, and there was privacy. This experience was the exact opposite of what I had imagined. Allyson, the innkeeper, made sure our experience was ideal. Our breakfast was nice and relaxing, too. I'm so glad we stayed here:)

Her hospitality is top notch. We've stayed with her a few times and always choose the top floor "Maids Quarters". It a step back in time and enjoy it very much. It does sit on the main road but Allison has thought of that with a cool sound machine to take to you the beach while you slumber. Comes with everything you'll need with some special extras. The made to order breakfast is fantastic. This last visit I had carmalized french toast with perfect bacon and a sweet fruit cup. It was wonderfully delish! Day before perfect executed poached eggs on homemade wheat beer bread toast. The combination was so so good. We will return again and maybe try one of the other quaint cozy rooms.

This is our 2nd weekend to stay at this lovely cottage (used to be a barn) which has wonderful sleeping accommodations for many people. It's like a large studio with a kitchen, desk, dining area, bathroom, living room and bedroom. There's a TV with Direct TV, a stereo system, a bookshelf with books, DVD's and CD's. If there are more than 2 people staying, the owners add a twin bed. There's also a futon and a sofa sleeper for 1. In speaking with the owner, she really wanted to make this place as comfortable as can be and has added many amenities to make your stay comfortable. The refrigerator has jam, butter, peanut butter, fruit, yogurt, granola, orange juice to get your morning started. She also provides guests with bread or muffins in the morning. Of course there is coffee or tea ready to brew. When you wake up in the morning, you open up the blinds to a beautiful yard which you can wander around and enjoy the arbor swing. I wish I had discovered this place sooner because it's a wonderful and relaxing place to stay.

While essentially a single space, it is nicely divided into a separate bedroom area, a roomy living area and a comfortable kitchen. A large bathroom and a second bedroom complete the layout. The entire cottage is nicely decorated and is also very neat and clean. Both the bathroom and kitchen are well equipped and user friendly. A variety of snacks are provided. What also makes The Barn special is that it is definitely dog friendly. We always bring our small dog with us and he seems to enjoy the experience as much as we do. There is a basket of dog toys near the front door, dog treats are provided and two dog bowls are located in the kitchen area. Thus, both human and canine guests are warmly welcomed! Not only is the cottage itself a wonderful retreat but it is located on a beautiful piece of property that is very nicely landscaped and easily accessed. A well constructed concrete walk leads directly from the parking area to the front door. At the rear of the house, a sliding glass door opens onto the large backyard which slopes gently down to a beautiful meadow. Guests are invited to walk the property and we are always happy to do so. Despite the bucolic atmosphere, The Barn is very conveniently located. It is within a couple of miles of downtown Lewisburg, Bucknell University and a variety of stores and restaurants. Finally, the the owners, Tanya and Fred, are friendly, accommodating and clearly committed to providing their guests with a wonderful experience. I can honestly say that we've thoroughly enjoyed each visit and always look forward to our next stay. I wholeheartedly recommend The Barn at Pheasant Ridge to anyone visiting the Lewisburg area. The wings run special for 1299 dozen and they were huge and perfectly cooked with a very nice crunch on the outside. Service was slow as they were shorthanded but, all in all we were very well taken care of by a very capable waitress. This hotel dates back to 1834. It's kept authenticity with dated wallpaper and carpet. However, the woodwork is gorgeous!!! Don't buy shy. Give it a try!!! I will return.

That said, I am a huge history buff so staying in a hotel that was originally built in 1834 under the name of the Kline's hotel was both a gentrified dream and history tour rolled up in one. The building itself has been very well maintained and preserved, and upon entering the lobby I feel like I have stepped right back in time to the 1850s. One of the nicest things they had at the check-in was the timeline starting with the 1834 owners all the way up to the current owner who purchased in 2017. Decor is reminiscing of the Victorian era mainly. I had a delicious pork Osso buco meal at their pub and restaurant, watched the game and had great dinner. Location is wonderful, just a couple miles from Bucknell university- and walking to all the quaint locally owned shops and stores. The things I would request- new towels, some updates to the courtyard rooms, quicker check in service and I wasn't quite sure where to go to get to my room initially. Great team that works there.

The do upcharge you if you want all flat or all drum. This a good beer and wings place, a few good micros on tap if your not a bud/colors drinker. The sides are table/family size. We got tater tots. It was beyond huge and we ate about 1/2. Sorry I did not take any photos of the wings.

This was on our list of places but we called around to several other inns first. They were all booked so we ended up here, what luck! The Inn is a few homes down from Main Street Bloomsburg which has several restaurants and other activities to choose from. It is owned and operated by George and his wife (didn't catch her name). The place is large with several common rooms, snacks, and a wrap around porch. There is a side door and you get a key so you can come and go as you please. Our room had a comfy bed, large bathroom, and direct tv. In the morning George cooks an amazing breakfast and I can almost promise the other guests will join you. Overall, I would highly recommend this to parents of Bloomsburg students or anyone looking to get away for the weekend. As a Knoebels enthusiast I was not sure how far this place would be and it turns out it is super close. Don't think twice about staying here!

This is a new hotel…read morelocated next to a gas station with a convenience store and a Burger King restaurant, so there's some traffic that comes through - both cars and tractor trailers. The hotel was fairly quiet both inside and outside, though it's near an area where truck drivers park to rest and the occasional loud truck will roll through about every hour or so. It still had a new construction smell. Not necessarily paint, but I could faintly smell wood throughout the hotel. Initially I had trouble finding the front entrance. There was patio furniture and a grill on the front patio that made me assume it was the back of the hotel; however, there was a ride share pick up sign and I could see the luggage cart through the window which confirmed it was actually the front of the building. The front sliding door was also hidden as it wasn't facing the parking lot, it was more so perpendicular to the building. The check in counter is immediately in front of the second sliding door, which doesn't leave much room for people to walk around when entering and exiting the hotel. The only thing that I strongly disliked was the shower. There was no door or closure, so the water from the shower head got on the floor outside of the shower no matter in which direction the shower head pointed. Due to the absence of a door, there was a constant cool breeze even when standing under hot running water until the bathroom was completely fogged up. Additionally, there was no vent to prevent the mirrors from fogging up and to reduce the humidity in the room. The breakfast was a typical free lobby breakfast - coffee, juice, water, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, cold cereal, scrambled eggs, sausage (pork and turkey), breakfast sandwiches, breads (bagels, English muffins), and a waffle station. It was fine, but nothing special. I really liked the room itself and the cleanliness of the hotel. Since it was new, there weren't a lot of guests or lines at the breakfast stations. It was a pretty decent stay, but the modern twist of the shower design needs improvement.
