The hotel is newly renovated, there was even the smell of newly painted walls. My room was next to a noisy highway, however, the window was very sound-proofing, with its closed, it extremely quiet. Air conditioning was fine as well. The room was clean, new, with acceptable space. Free wifi! Love the breakfast buffet (6 euros all you can eat), the croissant was amazing!! Yogurt, great, eggs, awesome! Staffs are quite friendly so you feel really welcome. There was a little story that they wrongly configured my room type, but it was fixed in a timely manner. I would consider staying in it again next time. Missing their breakfast already!

It was bigger than the other rooms my relatives were staying in. But, our room didn't really have any air circulation. It was stuffy and we had to open the window. We adjusted thermostat a few times. There's free WiFi available and you would have to sign up at the front desk (I think). For me, I used my smartphone to try to access the WiFi internet and you would have to provide some personal info. I didn't bother with signing up since I was only here for 2 nights. We also got to eat at their breakfast buffet in morning. It's the same typical breakfast that I experienced while traveling in Europe. Bread, croissants, cereal, deli meats, yogurt, coffee, tea, juice, etc. For the first breakfast at the hotel, I tried their scrambled eggs, bacon strips, and bread. The scrambled eggs were terrible. The bacon strips were boiled and it was rubbery. I had to slip out the bacon. So, I pretty much had orange juice and bread with nutella spread for 2 days for breakfast here. [Note: I'm not a breakfast person. So you might enjoy the other breakfast items at the hotel] In sum, I probably wouldn't come back to this hotel. My relatives and I didn't have choice of what hotel to stay in, since it was already arranged in advanced by the tour.

It was clean and the staff were excellent to our English. The price was incredibly affordable compared to every other hotel with the same star rating. There are many restaurants across the street, a great park down the road, and a market close for snacks and groceries. We were planning to get a hotel closer to tourist area for the rest of our stay but loved this hotel so much we extended for 4 more days.

When we travel, we…read morealways try to stay at holiday inns since they're known quantities, they offer a pretty nice free breakfast, and we've got rewards status with them. Personally, I think this particular holiday inn express was fine and fairly standard, but nothing particularly nice or special. It offered by far the cheapest prices for a western hotel chain within pairs (zone 1-3) and is a pretty good choice if you don't mind needing to take 1-2 metro trains to get to the Paris sights. As with all holiday inn expresses, they offer a free continental breakfast and free wifi if you join the rewards program. Additionally, the hotel front desk staff all speak English. The room itself was mostly clean and updated. For Europe sizes, I think the room size was actually pretty large. The beds were nice. They were soft and comfortable, and not at all lumpy which is an issue I've had at other European holiday inn expresses. However, I did notice that the mattresses themselves were brown and pretty damn gross. The hotel uses flat sheets, not fitted, so after a night or two they had pulled away and exposed the mattress. Aside from this, I was quite happy with the room. They have nice blackout curtains which is essentially for me and the building seems to be well insulated from sound. I do want to note that I found their AC to be pretty darn weak. They did have AC which helped to make the room tolerable (especially since it was in the 80s the whole time we visited), but you definitely won't be able to get the room "cool." As far as location goes, this particular holiday inn express was fairly convenient but is definitely not in the heart of paris. You have to walk 5-10 minutes to the nearest metro stop which lets you take the 7 line into paris. From there, you can transfer to most metro lines somewhere along the 7. Generally, it took us about 30-60 minutes to get where we wanted to go depending on whether or not we had to transfer. Otherwise, I think it's about a 30-40 minute uber/taxi/drive to most sights. The canal area is pretty and was definitely nice to walk around. There are restaurants around to eat at which all seem to accommodate English speakers, but there was not a whole lot of variety unfortunately. Breakfast was pretty good actually. Better than other hotel continental breakfasts I've had. They offer scrambled eggs (boxed not fresh), european bacon, sausage, a selection of cheeses and deli meats, baguettes, chocolate and pain croissants, toast, jams/nutella/honey, some cereals, yogurt, fruits, and apple/orange juice. Overall, I was content with my stay here and I would come back or recommend the hotel for budget savy travelers who don't mind a bit of distance. I don't think it's the nicest hotel in the world, but it was fine for my needs.

Really small room but is really a great value for those who wanted to a good and clean place to stay while in Paris. Just your basic room with a tv and bathroom. However the restaurant downstairs in the lobby is a really hidden gem. The restaurant offers a night buffet, with all-you-can-eat. Not much selection but the hot buffet has like 2-3 meat and other vegetables dishes. Since the menu changes every day and night, I can't really describe the menu. We ate there tonight, May 3rd 2018. The selection was pork ribs, fish, ratatouille, mixed vegetables. And we also choose the desserts buffet too. The price for the buffet of both hot food and desserts us €20 per person. It is really a great value especially for those who love French cuisine and desserts. The desserts for tonight was chocolate mousse, flourless chocolate cake, pie tort, etc. All very good and I think we gain about 10 lbs already ! Yes, the staffs speak English too. Too bad that I did not take too many photos because my phone battery was drained of power.

Campanile La Villette is a modern hotel with elevators, free wifi, and a restaurant below. They are eco-friendly so please re-use your towels rather than get new ones daily. The room decor is simple, sort of Ikea like. The bathroom is comfortable and comes with bath supplies and a decent hair dryer. I'd definitely stay at Campanile La Villette again. The price is right and while the room is a little larger than a box, it did not feel cramped at all. Hotel is located next to a grocery store, across from a patisserie (get your coffee and croissant in the morning!) and has a parking lot. Friendly staff as well.
