The outdoor seating made for a vibrant and fun experience for an ice cream shop and we could tell there were many regulars in the crowd. It's the last place you went the night before you left for college, and ordered a large S'mores ice cream with toppings, and drank in the summer sights and sounds in their yard on a picnic table, and the first place you went back to over Christmas vacation. There are lots of ice cream stores. But Plaskos is that one place that makes you feel like you just walked into your grandparents kitchen and they have all of your favorites waiting for you, and they are just as happy to see you as you are to see them. People don't just go to Plaskos because it's an ice cream store or cafe, even thought their home made ice cream and creative flavors taste like nothing you've had before, and their coffee makes you close your eyes and wonder where this has been all of your life. People go to Plaskos because it's tradition. It's who New Englanders are. It's Bean boots in the rain, leaning on a rake and talking over a fence to the neighbor on a fall day, or shoveling a driveway to help someone in need because it's the right thing to do.
