This week, I finally had the opportunity to go in and get my "little" sundae with my girlfriends. It was their first time at Cold Stone so we were looking at the menu. He even helped me set up my membership with cold stone since I didn't have the app installed yet. Cold stone doesn't have indoor seating and it's small. It's very clean. When we arrived with our party of seven, the line was out the door. Since it was a nice summer night, a line was to be expected, but the issue was that there were only two staff members working to serve a huge crowd. It took a very long time to get to the front, and when we were finally served, I asked for caramel on my ice cream. The gentleman barely put any on, so I asked if he could add a bit more. He said yes, but then immediately proceeded to serve the next customer. As I stood there holding my melting ice cream, I had to ask the other server to remind him about the topping. I had to wait until he finished helping the next person before he finally added it--mostly dumping it onto one side so it started dripping over, without offering a napkin or anything to clean it up. The ice cream itself was okay, but the service definitely left a lot to be desired.

It was more of a whole grain pastry than a traditional buttery croissant but because the blueberry filling was so sweet, I was happy for a less decadent pastry. I love that they have a nice array of coffee and matcha drinks too. I'm pretty sure the word has been out for some time now, but when that Starbucks line in the parking lot is just too much, The French Workshop is a better option (however, on a rainy Saturday in May, that line inside was considerable.
