Went there a week ago on a Saturday night. I am a regular at the Garden City Location. Never again will I go there. 3 employees there and all on their phones. The place was a mess. The machines had ice cream residue on them. I tried to buy a pint but the employee was so standoffish that I changed my mind. They had the nerve to request a tip at the end. Wrote to corporate who acknowledged receipt of my online complaint and told me plainview management would contact me. Hasn't happened. Save your money and go to Garden City. TCBY Yogurt in plainview, apparently has yet another corporate change for rewards cards. My previous member information , sign up, phone app, my phone number and email had me verify multiple times and sign in to be told I'm already a member and yet again another code was to be given to the cashier of which final worked to be told I first would start to now accrue points and then she took the two items a yogurt and a thick shake for 20.00 that I had bought this time, out of the freezer after the long process. read more

The yogurt is the country's best. That is why I keep going there. But the pricing is very suspect. First of all it isn't posted anywhere. The owner is never there either so just the teenagers that really don't know what is going on. Last time I went I was having difficulty wrapping my head around how they came up with the cost. It was Father's Day and so 6 ounces free but still came out to $30 for 3 cups of yogurt. We always request the "kids cups" so that is 12 ounce cups. So that means I am paying about a $1/ounce. That seems excessive. That means that one of those cups is around $12. That is serious cash for some yogurt. Will I keep going back?, probably. Like I said the yogurt is good and if you sit and eat, it is clean and comfortable. Am I happy about getting sticker shock every single time? Never. So it FINALLY started warming up! Which has put me in the mood for ice cream, or better yet, frozen yogurt! Low and behold, there is a TCBY in my sights! All of a sudden I am Dorothy in the wizard of Oz. I see a yellow brick road leading the path, oh wait, that's the glare of the sun on the roads with the melted snow! So I walk in and the place is not that busy. Yes! Everything here is self server, and they have everything for everyone! They have non dairy, fat free, and sugar free flavors. I chose to mix it up with white chocolate macadamia, and toasted marshmallow! Also I need to find out where they get there fruit from, OMG! So fresh and ripe! This Tcby location is self serve. I was in the area so I stopped by here for dessert. The store was empty and the employees only cared about chit chatting amongst each other rather than helping out their only customer. I asked for a sample and I felt like it was such an inconvenience for her to give me a taste. I still wanted to try other flavors and she did not offer. Instead she got back to her conversation with the other employee which was annoying. Despite the bad customer service the frozen yogurt was top notch. I got 11 ounces of their thick and delicious white chocolate mousse and I loved every bite of it. The yogurt was super pricey. My total was almost $7 but it was worth it. They carried the standard Tcby flavors I see in most stores (white chocolate, golden vanilla, strawberry, cake batter etc). Toppings were nothing to write home about. The one thing I really liked about this location was they had very small cups to serve your yogurt in. In other stores the cups are normally huge. They did not deduct the cup size from the total like they do at 16 handles. They had plenty of free parking in their lot and no bathroom unfortunately. read more

TCBY Plainview Not a Family Place! Biggest downfall of this tcby location in Plainview Is their No Public restroom policy. they refused my 6 year old son from using their bathroom! Relentless in their stance my son could of had an accident. on the race home my 6 yr old son intelligently pointed out how it is not nice to not allow people the right to use the bathroom and he then said he doesn't want to go there anymore! This was unsolicited from my son. come on! he's six! The owner of this TCBY needs to make a policy change and allow it's paying customers the ability to wash their hands and use the toilet! What happened!??! They had a complete makeover. My friends called it a night club - flashing lights and all. No more classy TCBY. The owners have definitely been eyeing the other fro yo joints. What is happening! 45 cents per oz. (I believe) and a sufficient amount of tables for people to sit and eat. Completely self-serve. A lot of fat-free options but I thought that the froyo itself wasn't great; it melted really quickly? There are tons of options for toppings, though. It's tall enough so little kids can't dump everything on to their bowl, that would be sweet overload chaos. read more

I'm sad that TCBY is now self serve. I'm happy that the soft serve hasn't changed. Something about making your own ice cream is boring and I usually don't frequent those places. But I missed some good fat free deliciousness. I've been to this location a few times. The staff is pretty attentive. The location is clean. And boy oh boy the prices are high! $12 for two mediums. The owner of this store needs to go back to school and learn how to treat customers. I've never been called out before in front of other customers for using an expired coupon. And then to tell me that "I've obviously not been to the store in six months so why should we make an exception and honor this expired coupon". After telling him every other competitor accepts their own expired coupons he goes on to say 4 or 5 times nice and loud "everyone wants something for free". OK to be honest I never made it inside the store. I've been going here occasionally for probably for the last 10 years, so when I pulled up tonight I didn't even recognize the place. It recently was remodeled and there were much less seats, to make space for the new self serve and toppings bar. There was a line almost out the door and that meant I'd be waiting just to sit down, as all of the 3 or so tables were taken. I knew my yogurt might be melted by the time I sat down, so I left and headed down the road to Yogurt and Such which had much more seating and wasn't a madhouse. Apparently the owners are doing well with their new Red Mango wannabe look, but I think I'll pass. What good is a fancy self serve and toppings bar if there's NO WHERE TO SIT DOWN? They didn't have the space for that look, but some people I guess dont mind waiting, crowds, and standing for an eternity. I definately wouldn't reccomend visiting in summer, maybe by winter the crowds will have thinned so I can come here again. read more

TCBY is an underrated place to meet for healthy and yummy fro yo. The atmosphere resembles most other typical fro yo places like red mango being fun and colorful. There aren't many seats available (3 tables) but it's usually not very crowded. Great flavors! read more

This store is one of the best looking I have seen. The interior was colorful and bright and the fro-yo was delicious. There is a massive amount of toppings to choose from and a multitude of flavors as well. The woman working at the time was very helpful to me since I had never had fro-yo before. She was patient with me and helped me by yelling me some good flavors and toppings to go with them. I would go here again just because of the kind and courteous help I received. Overall I thought this store offered a great customer experience and I would recommend it to any of my peers. read more
