Today is National Donut Day, so I had to take advantage of the Dunkin' special deal! I went with the 'buy six for $6' offer, but since I chose a few specialty donuts, I ended up paying an extra dollar--which was totally fine because they are absolutely worth it. I even got an extra cinnamon sugar donut for free! The lady working at the Plainview location was beyond sweet; she was an absolute sweetheart. She helped me right away, and even though a crowd was starting to arrive just to get their free donut, she remained incredibly friendly to me and everyone else. Went to Duck Donuts recently to get donuts for a halloween party. Thankfully it was not crowded when I came in. I like the option of ordering at the kiosk or at the counter. All the donuts are made fresh to order so you do need to account for time if ordering a dozen. I really liked the mini donuts that they had advertised. If you want those, you do need to preorder them which I will definitely do in the future. The menu is also more than just donuts. They have shakes, breakfast items and much more. The donuts are fine... but the facility is poorly run. There were two employees, one girl who was trying to take orders and the other who was making the orders. The girl making the orders was more worried about helping her friend who showed up to make her order before helping us. We waited and waited and she took her time speaking to her friend the entire time. The other employee was trying to help but couldn't. Owner should teach employees how to act and to not give away free donuts on their dime. As a business owner, I'd fire employee in a heartbeat. read more

These are definitely up there with the best donuts that I have had. It's no surprise that they are popping up all over the place. The donuts taste amazing, and are (as others) best eaten very fresh. I reduced one star because the place is a bit messy behind the counter, and we had to wait a bit to get the donuts. I'm super happy we have one of these in the neighborhood, and I'll be back to visit regularly. read more

review is about this location's service/management and not the food. why? because we couldn't actually get any food. stopped in on Father's Day. fully expected a line and a wait, but did not expect to wait in line for over twenty minutes to then be told they were not taking any new orders for at least an hour. perhaps let customers know as they enter of either long/excessive waits or that you need to stop taking orders so people don't waste their time? We try to be considerate of the staff, but it should be reciprocated. read more
