Smoothie tasted great. I got the Chia Banana Boost. Very yummy and filling. Hit the spot on a hot day. I made my order online for easy pick up...or so I thought. After placing my order it said it would be ready in 10 minutes. Customer service was terrible. Absolutely terrible. When I walked in every employee was making smoothies or food items. Not ONE employee greeted anyone that walked in and not ONE employee was on the register taking orders. I went to the "online pick-up" area. Again, no one to greet or assist other customers that were waiting. After about 20-25 mins of waiting, myself and other customers were finally acknowledged and given our orders. I came here with a friend to order some smoothies before a tennis tournament. Overall the workers were so accommodating and offered to assist me in making a decision on what were the top smoothies. I would say that the cafe has great covid 19 procedures and offered safe social distance seating along with plexiglas. All the workers were wearing masks and were following procedures. Terrible. They have no clue what you ordered, even after you are notified the order is "ready for pick". Once you prove what you ordered that's when they begin making your order, but with attitude. Ordered online. When I came in to quickly get a replacement cup for my child's drink I was ignored for a while. There was only one person ordering at the time and two staff just looking busy, while the 3rd was making a drink. When someone finally asked what needed, they told me I could not get a new cup. I love tropical cafe smoothie. That being said the corporation needs to close down this location. The staff is not trained properly. They messed up my order 5 times. Didn't get my discount when I own my plastic smoothy cup. They ran out of coffee, honey mustard and they got angry when I tried to order a wrap that wasn't on the menu. That should have been a sign to just cancel and go to my normal store. The last straw was giving me a quesadilla when I ordered a wrap and when they made my replacement wrap it had ONE piece of bacon and looked like a child put it together. ‍ shut it down or re-staff the entire building. Truthfully the one in Deer Park is such trash on the weekends. They all have such attitudes. Like they were annoyed to be there and had to help you. I asked the girl Heidi to repeat herself and she rolled her eyes, sighed and said she didn't say anything in a nasty tone. Then her and her friend started whispering in Spanish, looked at me and kept laughing. I'm here all the time and every time I'm here on a weekend. There's an issue. I normally go to the smithtown location before work and have enjoyed my choices. We were in the area and I decided to place an on the go order through the app. We ended up getting there way sooner than I thought (130 today) and it was surprisingly very busy. I figured my order wouldn't be ready but when I reached the register the girl was smiling and very nice despite the crazy amount of people waiting. She assured me it would be done soon. As I waited I took a look at the others all working very well together filling the orders. They all seemed like they knew what they were doing and worked quickly. We waited a few minutes and our smoothies were ready. We had the ginger orange which could have been blended a little bit more. We also had the peanut butter chocolate which was very flavorful. They both were very cold and even after sitting 30-40 minutes they still were great. I never realized the amazing food options they offer. The huge menu on the wall grabbed my attention so I will be back to try some of the sandwiches for lunch! read more
