I paid for clear 3m. Install was horribl, rough cut and bubbles everywhere. After 3 refits I had them take it off. They said I would be refunded on the Hyundai account. It never was. also I was dumb enough to purchase tires and wheels from them. my first appointment they installed the wrong wheels. the next appointment they didn't have all the ev inserts. the appointment after that they were still missing 2 wheel inserts and I had to go back yet again. also when I went for my annual checkup they tried to charge me $160. it's a free mandatory checkup to maintain the warranty. also I ask them to fix a glass chip u fee my purchased extended warranty and they wouldn't do it because I didn't have my paperwork with me. they said they didn't keep records of it which confused me because they are legally required to. all in all they are great when selling you a car but after is another story. read more

Back in early April we take our Hyundai Tucson 2015 car to this dealership for a maintenance checkup. They state the rear lights are not working and that they have to order a multi-function switch and keep the car for a week. To be fair they give the owner another car in place. When they call the owner to retrieve the car the remote starter is not working. They claim it's not their fault and there is an argument. The manager threatens the police on the 71 year old woman who owns the car claiming she attacked his staff with her car keys. Then they agree to fix the remote starter without charge. The son of the owner arrives in late May for a visit and another driver on the road tells him the rear lights are not working while he is driving at night. He takes the car to the dealership who initially want to charge for another diagnostic test. However, they tested the multi-function switch that was installed earlier and stated it was faulty. A new one arrived the next day and was installed. A day later the lights are partly functioning when the switch is held in between on and off but not in the on position. The manager says they will investigate but may charge a diagnostic fee. We are now in a situation where the car has experienced problems after each visit. The first time in April the remote starter was not working and they fixed it after hesitation and inappropriate police threats. Now the lights won't work after they tried to fix it twice (first initially and then the second new multi-function switch). Do I want to risk taking the car to them again after all this? Terrible service, con artists who rip you off every chance they get. Bought a used car from them and only owned it for under 5 months, it spent over 2 of those months in their shop for repairs and when the tranny on the vehicle went, even with the extra coverage I had bought they were unable to fix it and gave me pennies on the dollar to buy it back. My experience with this dealership was an absurd drama - error upon error.. They need to learn to take responsibility for their mistakes, apologize and take an appropriate action to compensate and/or correct, rather then allowing problems to escalate, passing the buck and relying on empty words that hold no water after trust has been repeatedly.. betrayed. There are many Hyundai Dealerships in Calgary that are easily.. a better bet for a satisfactory experience. Knowingly sending me off the lot with a damaged vehicle (I paid for a new one!), standing me up for appointments and only minimally correcting serious problems when i really made an issue with management which again... wastes a customers valuable time. So I've had my Santa Fe for just over 4 years now and it has had it shares of normal wear and tear as expected from use. In summary, for those who do not wish to read a wall of text, they have a despicable policy of banning anyone who records them and threatening to have you forcefully "escorted off the property". They clearly do not wish to be held accountable for anything they tell people. This policy is not shared with other locations such as precision Hyundai. A couple years back, while my car was under warranty, I had water building up in one of my headlights. They told me that it was normal to see water in your headlight when I first went in. The second time I went in, after confirming with Hyundai that there should not be water in your headlight, they agreed to fix it. I considered the matter closed but it seemed very strange that they would say something so ridiculous. Recently I had to bring my car in for a recall. To be clear, I don't blame Hyundai or Hyundai Gallery for that matter for the recall. Recalls happen with just about any car manufacturer. Part of the recall was that they asked me to bring in relevant receipts that were related to the recall. I did, the recall was performed, and I was told I would hear about the receipts I brought in within two business days. A week and a half later I had not heard a peep from them, and given my previous experience with the headlight I was more than a little suspicious. When I went in to talk to them about it, I decided to record the audio on my phone just in case they said something unbelievable such as "it is normal to have water in your headlight". The manager began explaining that they would not be covering the receipts I had brought in, which I did not really find surprising, but when I mentioned out of courtesy that I was recording our interaction he completely lost it. He told me he would not say anything further, except that I had to leave the property immediately. He even threatened to have the police escort me off of the premises. He also said that going forward, they would not ever service my car again even if directed to do so by Hyundai Canada. I was polite and professional the whole time, the only thing I did was record my conversation with them. I complied with their request and left the property. I ended up going to Precision Hyundai who gave me the same answers regarding the recall which once again wasn't surprising. However when I asked about their policy with recording he said that it was fine so long as I wasn't trying to record peoples personal information. This is completely reasonable and I would never do that anyway. Hyundai Gallery's policy to ban anyone who records them permanently and threaten to call the police shows that they have no integrity and are not willing to be held to any level of accountability for their actions. I have no doubt that their policy of having zero accountability is going to put peoples lives in jeopardy given the importance of automotive safety. #1 - I do not recommend using this place for service or for car purchases. There are many other locations in the city such as precision Hyundai which hold themselves to a much higher standard. Please do not support these abhorrent business practices. #2 - If you do use their service center, my recommendation is to record everything and just not tell them. I told them I was recording as courtesy because personally, I would want to know if I was being recorded. However, you are under no obligation to inform a business if and when you decide to record them. Given their policy of banning anyone who records them and threatening to have them forcefully removed from their property, it really does not make sense to tell them you are recording. read more

UNHAPPY CUSTOMER Hyundai gallery on McLeod Trail is the crappiest sleepiest dealership! So much for customer service! What a joke! They lie and scam!! I am not knowledgeable in vehicles or the process of purchasing. The finance manager Gregory Cyr was tie-selling and lying though his teeth! They have absolutely no customer service and the finance department needs an overhaul. We agreed on a price with the sales manager on Friday night only for Gregory to submit the bank application at a higher payment adding on extra things (extended warranty & insurance) without our consent to line his own pocket. These things were not necessary to add. He then called us the next morning and told us we were approved without telling us the actual amount he submitted and when we asked him to submit at the lower price he said it would be declined and then if he tried to resubmit at the higher price it would be declined again as they already declined it once. Then told us we had to have the other stuff added on (extended warranty and insurance) to be approved for the car. I felt pressured as he pushed papers in front of me printed out with the higher price, and before I had even signed I was told they were switching my license plate over to the new vehicle. I felt railroaded to purchase the vehicle. Tried calling the next day we called to say we didn't want the car and no one returned our call. We then called the next day and after fighting them about this he told us that he actually submitted at the lower price and it was declined and would not provide proof upon request that he actually submitted at the lower price. Complete BS! Talked to the GM and he was just as useless and showed no care for customer service at all. DON'T BUY FROM THIS PLACE they will just rip you off and if you make a complaint they wont care! read more

I would never recommend or go here to buy a new car again. I had horrible experience dealing with this dealership. It was a gong show from the start. Minimum value given for my 2010 trade in valued at 8,000 they gave me 3,000. Head rushed and hurried into buying extras you don't need. Very unprofessional and lack of knowledge for the product sold to me. Delivered new vehicle with scratch that needed repair at bodyshop. It was four days I had to wait and filthy dirty when I picked it up. Can't trust what they tell you. I felt unimportant, uncomfortable and a patsy. I recently traded in my Nissan versa which I bought in sunrise Nissan back in 2011, warning don't go to sunrise Nissan! Back to Gallery, they were awesome I death with John and Jon...lol... John gave me atmost customer service. He didn't leave me at any point to tend to another customer. I got an Elantra gt gl (I think...lol) hatchback 2015. No matter, its Amazing! John helped me set up the Bluetooth Got 3 months free of xm radio. He explained everything to me slowly to make sure I know how to operate the vehicle properly...since it got sweet gadgets in it They were professional at the whole deal. He wasn't in a hurry just because the deal is closed. Transfered my lisence plate for me...moved both cars closely for me to transfer my girly stuff needs. Nothing is broken so far...trust me when I got car in sunrise Nissan they refused to fix a button that was loose, this was a week from me getting the car... I hope I'm not jumping the gun but I love it...so far so good. Looks really sophisticated. I would highly recommend their dealership.. I know it's just a little place..but the service is good, 3 times we went there,3 times we were offered drinks, cookies freshly bake. We took a brand new Hyundai Sonata for lease 5 years ago. We also purchased a "Tires for life" package for additional $750. We serviced the car only at Hyundai Gallery and did everything that service adviser recommended but when it was time to replace the tires for some weird reason we did not qualify. Had a lot of small, unresolved issues with the car. The biggest excuse they gave us was that it is not the manufacturers defect and they are not obligated to fix the problem even though the car is under warranty. Now at the end of our lease we are trying to get any information out of Hyundai and it is almost like pooling teeth. I would never deal with them again. They only nice to you before you sign the paperwork and after that good luck getting anything from those guys. read more

***DO NOT BUY FROM HYUNDAI GALLERY***UNRELIABLE VEHICLE& POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE*** I purchased a used 2009 Hyundai Tucson from the Hyundai Gallery on March 22, 2011 when it had approximately 24,200 km. I asked the salesman, Adam Crosby, what the history of the vehicle was, and he said that it was one owner, purchased and serviced from Hyundai Gallery and that she traded it in because she wanted a new model, that people often drove cars for a year or so and want new cars all the time. Long story short, in the past 12 months, my car has been under warranty repair 8 times, the longest from August - December 2012 for a new electrical harness. It broke down again Feb 2013 by not starting (turning over, but not starting), the same issue as before. It currently has ~45,000 km, I obtained the previous owners records and she had at least 3 warranty repairs for electrical issues before she traded-in the vehcile. I believe that Hyundai Tucson, via salesperson Adam, sold me a vehicle they knew was unreliable depsite knowing that my #1 concern was to have a reliable vehicle. When I called the General Manager, Doug Mclean, he offered to trade in my vehicle and sell me a new one, that there was nothing else he could do. He wanted to profit off of the lemon that his dealership knowingly sold me. If you want to be given the run-around and be disrespected, then please hurry on into the Hyundai Gallery. read more

I had very bad experience at Hyundai Gallery!!! ZERO STARS They are sold me used vehicle (2014 with 13k millage almost new) with body works, but with clear CarProof. When I figure out about paint job on the vehicle, they just told me: We didn't know about that, we didn't have any responsibility, and CarProof is clear and we are "clear". When I purchase this vehicle I'm asked about body condition, does it have any collision or something. They said: This vehicle is awesome condition, almost new, and they didn't see any signs of body work. (Now I'm thinking what is the qualification of Hyundai Gallery service mechanics and sale persons David and Curtis with huge experience in this business???) They didn't see anything. By the way, 15 min before I sign an agreement I saw 6-8 dents on the roof and of course hey didn't see this as well. I'm lucky they did a repair. I did the complaint for AMVIC about that, but AMVIC can't help me because all documents are good and any damage on my vehicle. Guys be careful, when you buying from Hyundai Gallery. Don't buy a car from Hyundai Gallery!! These guys are all so shady and so unprofessional. I went to this dealership to buy a new 2020 Palisade. They didn't have the colour that I wanted so after putting down a $5000 deposit on my vehicle and signing a contract that also included my car appraisal they said they would locate one. It took 4 weeks and apparently it was "damaged" so they had to factory order another one. This took an additional 5 weeks (which I was happy to wait to get the colour I wanted). Ricardo, our salesman, is impossible to get a hold of. He seems to always be on his phone yet rarely answered our calls, and if he did answer he would say he would call us back and never would. Even during our test drive he would be answering other calls. The morning that we were going to pick up the car finance called us to confirm the originally agreed upon amount and 3 hours before I was going to pick up the car the sales manager Kevin texts my husband to tell him that the price would actually be $5500 more than what we agreed upon because the value of my car had changed (without even laying eyes on my car first). Originally we were told the appraisal might change if there was damage or and excessive amount of kms (which is reasonable) but now they were offering me less for my car because apparently it depreciated that much in the 7 weeks we had to wait. When I went in to talk to Kevin, the sales manager, I noticed my car in the front with no "sold" sign on it. As he explained everything he was looking down at the desk as he spoke. I asked him twice why he couldn't look me in the eyes when he talked to me and he said "I just feel bad" and "I've never talked to you before" which also isn't true because he's the one that agreed to our initial price agreement in the first place. I noticed right after I left that the vehicle they ordered for me (with the same VIN) was also included in their inventory/for sale on their website. When confronted they claimed it wasn't for sale. However a couple days after I backed out of the sale I checked the website and it had sold. I believe they found someone interested in it who would pay more money for it. The GM David is even worse. When I came in the next day to talk to him he seemed inconvenienced. Before I talked to him he was also was visibly angry, swearing to his salesmen in front of customers, and threw something into an office. Other Hyundai's in the city don't even deal with these guys and say they are known to be the "bad apple" of Hyundai dealerships. read more

And then his manager comes over and was pressuring me to buy a used vehicle that was extremely overpriced !! Imagine you just bought a "NEW" vehicle. It comes with a 5 year/100,000km warranty. Time goes by and you start having issues with your vehicle. You check your bill of sale and realize you are almost out of your warranty. You book your vehicle in for repairs. Your repairs are completed and you go to pick up your vehicle. To your surprise you have a bill to pay. You explain to the dealer that according to your bill of sale you should have at least "x" amount of time left before your warranty expires. You supply them a copy of your bill of sale. After you do some digging, you find out your car was actually registered as a "demo" a few months earlier. This information was not disclosed to me as a customer. So my PSA is to check your purchase date and your in service date match for a new vehicle. If they don't make sure you ask why? These few questions can help save you money down the road or make a decision before signing any documents. read more

He was a mechanic before so he really knew alot about cars and was able answer all our questions. We checked the price against other dealers and found gallery to be the cheapest. We have bought 2 cars here and attended the business since it opened. The service was great until a new manager was placed, They now won't go out of their way for you at all, 4 times returning with a car for repair of a problem they didn't fix. Need a courtesy car which was never a problem in the past and now needs to be booked a month in advance. Despite this I called ahead to ensure it was there which it wasn't. I got a car "pulled into service" but was rudely informed by the service mgr that it was a privilege and not a "right" to have this car. Maybe buy there but don't do your service there. read more

It is quite a while ago that I bought my car, a new Sonata Ltd from this company. What should have been a joyfull experience turned in to a total disaster. The young lady that sold the car was a terrific sales person, but there was the end of all good things. The sales manager, I think he graduated at grade 5, was an insult to deal with, but I was in love with that car and I wanted to take it home, so I put up with it. I don,t think too much of the dealer neither ( a little old Jewish gentlemen told me once "a rotten fish stinks from the head down") , I think that fits with this company. The dealer obviously was not satisfied with the amount of money Hyundai pays him for selling my car so he conveniently charges me $ 499.00 and calls it an administration fee! Administration? What administration? But that was not the end of it. I was charged $495.00 for a " Security Program". When I inquired about the program I got all sorts of invasive answers and finally was told that a device was installed in my car for the police to detect that the car was stolen! What a crock that was, but the manager insisted that I had to buy the plan. What this is, it is an insurance policy that has only two people who benefit, the dealer and the salesman that sells this policy, great job! Other than that it is of no use. Last, I wanted wheel lock nuts on my car, the charge was $78.95 for 4 puzzle lock nuts and a puzzle lock wrench nut.
