The cooling fan on my 2022 MDX broke down in pieces. apparently, this has never happened before and it took 3 attempts to completly solve the issue, but they persited and never gave up. I came in for an oil change in July of 2024 and was met with such professionalism in service that I have not seen in a long time. I even had a pile of cash that had mistakenltinto slipped out of my pocket and one of the valet guys located it and passed it across to the management who was able to track me as the owner of the money. Very pleased with our service I would recommend this dealership for the simple fact that they care !!! We were greeted with a smile, offered a refreshment, and were allowed time just to explore. Once we were ready for a tour of a vehicle the front desk assigned a salesperson. Negotiations for our MDX was actually fun. Our salesperson had a good understanding of our wants and needs. Once we accepted the deal we were sent to the "Business office". In the past we did not look forward with dealing with a dealership business office. Owned 4 Acuras. Loyal customer. Brought my vehicle in as warning lights were lit up on dash. Was leaving town for 2 weeks road trip in my other acura. Tech identified noise on cold start that I had mentioned numerous times, but was told they couldn't duplicate. Well, now they did. And the bill was large. Disturbing was notes from tech: several loose bolts timing chain tension bolts not secure coils not secure right engine mount not secure I have tried to contact Silverhill to get more details from tech, as I was out of town when repairs were done and my partner picked up vehicle. Silverhill service team has ghosted me. Now Acura Canada dragging their feet on responding. read more

I took my 2004 Acura LT in 3 times for an electrical problem. The 3rd time they said they would do a Free electrical diagnostic. They found the blue- tooth module was defective and disconnected it, as it cost $800 to replace. They charged me $168 for the Free diagnostic. I stupidly paid it just finally happy they resolved my issue. Two days later the car broke down again. I towed it home and decided to change the battery, even though Silverhill Acura tested it as Good. I replaced the battery and had the old one tested. The old one failed testing. Called and asked Silverhill if they actually tested the battery as the paperwork states. They never answered me. I asked for a refund for the $168. They refused and offered me another free diagnostic. I told them I will never go back to Silverhill Acura. Friendly people, but minimal communication and inept. read more

Always excellent friendly service when I come in. They're prompt and efficient, and have me in and out with a loaner before I've even had a chance to finish their complimentary coffee. I do recommend coming in the morning when possible, they do seem to be better suited to help customers then. I've taken the shuttle service on numerous occasions, and regretfully I forget the driver's name but he's always friendly and easy to talk to. Which is nice when you have to share a car ride with a stranger. read more

I came here to test drive a used car (not from the main dealership doors). I've learned that when you're show up at any car dealership and want to test drive something, the sales guys are happy. I came here to test drive a used car and dealt with Ed. After I gave him an honest offer, he just scoffed and said I'm playing games... I mean, really?! I just walked away. There's no point in wasting time buying something from people who have no respect for people. Note to future buyers, just walk away like I did. If you're going to be disrespected from the beginning, I can bet your after sales service isn't going to be any better. 1 Star experience for the Used Car Dealer at Silverhill Acura. Tsk tsk. Update (June 12 2013): I recently went back and dealt with the main dealership and had a much better experience. If I didn't have such a bad experience with the used car side, I'd give this place a solid 4 stars. But alas, that didn't happen. This place is going through a complete make over. There must be a change in management because I've never seen a dealership work so hard to satisfy their customers. I went in for an oil change. As they were parking my car out front, they went over a random spike over the road. Brian (thank you for your amazing service!) didn't hesitate and said they're searching for a replacement, they'll cover the cost, and take care of my transportation. I got my oil change on the house and an extra careful complimentary rinse. Accidents happen, and Silverhill handled it like a professional. I've had a great relationship for 9 years with Silverhill so now it pains me to write this review.I have always been impressed with the Service Department but it was only for scheduled maintenance. My 9 year old TL is currently stranded in a parking lot with a dead starter and I have made several attempts to contact Silverhill to make arrangements to tow the vehicle there and have it repaired. I started early in the morning with on-line chat and was told the Service Dept. would contact me, nothing. I followed that up with a phone call that went to voice mail and I waited in vain for a response,nothing. I have now sent an email and still haven't had even an acknowledgement of the issue. Sadly, I think they can handle a pre-scheduled oil change but are not available when you really need them most. Update There had been a communication mix up that led to the issue. Amy from service owned my issue and did a terrific job of getting my appt, and ensuring my vehicle was ready at the start of business the next day. read more

A while back I was getting regular service including an oil change, and Silverhill didn't torque the oil plug properly (loose) and leaked oil on my garage floor. It was actually the service tech. at Kal-Tire Marlborough that caught it while I was getting a new set of tires. I called Silverhill and they gave me the next two services free; the week before I drove to Edmonton return before I realized the oil plug was loose while getting new tires. On the second (free) service I was told the rear sway bar end links were starting to fail (less than 85 000 km on car), which cost me an additional $300. So I got one "free" service which came out to be about even after the second service. I got a new battery installed on the second service (which I also paid for) and they didn't spray over the battery terminals to help keep the terminals clean. read more

I've rarely received such great customer service from such warm friendly people. I arrived at the used car lot to check out a 2010 Honda Accord EXL (this was October 2013) and was greeted by Bob Allen, a friendly bear of a man with a beard. He was warm, congenial and just downright personable. Within an hour I'd purchased the Honda, traded my 2009 Lancer in for the exact trade in amount I'd hoped for and picked up my new (to me) car 2 days later with absolutely no hiccups whatsoever. We have been loyal customers of Silverhill Acura for 8+ years. We bought a car from them. We have given them all of our service work for both of our cars. Oil changes...tires...shocks...valves...etc They are more expensive than other mechanics but they know our vehicles and we felt that if we were loyal to them, they would be honest and fair with us. This is ONLY true if things are going well. In the past they would tell us what had to be done, they would tell us a price, we would pay it...everyone was happy. We never questioned anything. Never got a second quote. We simply gave them our blind trust. The first time something went wrong they treated us like we were criminals trying to get away with something. We recently had our valves done on our 2003 MDX. I have parked it in our garage for four years and underneath it has always been perfectly clean cement. The night my husband brought it home from the service department it started to drip a greenish fluid. Yikes?? My husband took it in the next day and they washed under the truck and told us that they couldn't find a leak and that it must have been condensation. I put a plastic tray under it to collect the goop and my husband took it back to them. They then discovered that a rear seal was gone on it. The mechanic said that it was just a coincidence and not their fault. Hmmm....no problem before and they wanted us to believe that it happened on the way home from the service department. They were going to charge us for a $40 part and 13 hours of labour at $130/hr!!! My husband was furious and called the service manager. He waited 3 days without a returned call! When he finally talked to my husband his exact words were... "You're on your own." Wow. We have been excellent customers for over eight years and that's how they treated us the first time something went wrong!!??!! We took it to the Honda dealer in Okotoks and they confirmed that the seal was leaking. Funny thing...they charged us $90/hr for service and threw in a free wheel alignment. That's how you earn a customer. It is obvious that Silverhill Acura doesn't value their customers and will NEVER get another dime of our business. If you're considering trusting them...think again. Honda mechanics are equally trained (Acura is a Honda vehicle), they charge a much more reasonable hourly rate and they understand the meaning of "service". read more
