On Friday May 21, 2021, I purchased my vehicle from Okotoks Honda. Marvin was the sales associate that helped me. Asif was the sales manager. Gina was the financial service manager and was pleasant to work with. Upon delivery of my vehicle, I advised Marvin immediately of a strong cologne scent on the driver side and was advised to leave my vehicle to be detailed again the next day. After not hearing back from Marvin about when our vehicle was ready, we had to call the service department to get a follow up. We drove down to Okotoks from Calgary to be told that it was not detailed again but was "aired out" with strong fans instead. It would be important to note this vehicle was admittedly driven by the sales manager for an undisclosed amount of time as his demo. Pickup of my vehicle as agreed upon was not only delayed but issues still not tended to. Unfortunately I needed to leave with the vehicle as is, as I had no other means of transportation. Asif advised to air out the vehicle for the long weekend to see if the scent would dissipate. I was able to identify where the strong cologne scent was embedded the most; the seat belt and head rest of the drivers seat. I was promised a follow up phone call after the weekend, but did not hear anything until I wrote an email advising I will be proceeding with contacting the BBB about the situation. I had also requested for the parts to be replaced, since the scent was not able to be removed. Only after I advised this, Asif agreed to replace the head rest and seatbelt, which is ordered but will take 3 weeks from my original delivery date. In the meanwhile, he will be covering up to $200 for detailing to get the scent out as best as possible until the parts arrive and an oil change was promised, as my vehicle was delivered to me with 80% oil life. I can appreciate Asif is trying to rectify the situation, however, this is only AFTER advising I would be reporting to BBB? You decide if inconveniences like this is worth your time, anxiety levels and frustrations. I am still waiting to see if they hold up their end of the bargain. read more

I purchased a new 2017 Honda Accord Touring from Okotoks Honda in 2017 and love the car and it has caused me no problems ever. I had previously owned a 2005 Honda Accord and had it for 11 plus years with no problems other than the airbag replacements Okotoks Honda has been perfect in every way, from the date of purchase to servicing the car, every employee I have dealt with has been excellent. Was a faithful Honda customer, purchased 3 new vehicles from them over the last 20 years and was going to purchase the 4th. last week. Now, I do expect to negotiate, and to go through the usual pantomime between the sales person and the Sales manager. This time I made an offer that was immediately refused by the unseen Sales Manager, who countered with an offer of full the MRSP, and less than the Black Book value of my vehicle. In addition there would have been a 1 to 2 month wait for delivery. I left the showroom and have since purchased a vehicle from another dealer. (Not Honda) All my other experiences with Okotoks Honda have been very good. Particularly the service department, who over the years have been first class. read more

One of the slogans of Okotoks Honda is "It is worth the drive!", and our experience (wife and I) validated that in late October 2021, when we purchased a 2021 HR-V that had been used as a service-loaner. New and lightly-used inventory in Alberta (Canada too?) was hard to find in the gray colour we preferred, and after discussions with two other dealers it was clear that we would have to change our expectations and/or wait for 6 - 8+ weeks for new inventory, and not expect discount deals for many months. Our salesman Jerry Beltran was happy to drive to NW Calgary to show us the vehicle we had inquired about. He was warm, helpful and informative in completing the deal in a manner that made us quite happy. For us, the extra effort to travel to Okotoks Honda was indeed worth it! read more

I love my Honda Fit! I just had to get that off my chest. Okotoks Honda (formerly "High River Honda") has been around for years and years. My search began a couple of years ago for a "cute hatchback that's good on gas, is reliable and could fit three sword cases (for training swords), their owners, Maestro's kennel and Maestro" led to nothing but frustration in Calgary. Several dealerships treated me like a "dumb female". Several models failed my test miserably. I wound up with a 2007 Honda Fit from these guys. Terry, John and Bernie treated me like a normal person. It probably helped that my dad came with me. They showed me the 2007 Fit, which just came out in North America (aka "Jazz" in Europe and Asia). I LOVE the Magic Seats(R) because of their three modes: Utility Mode (think "station wagon"), Relax Mode (think "full length bed") and Tall Mode (think "bike"). I invented a new mode - "Gig Mode", which is a combination of all three modes, to accommodate my keyboard, speakers and gear. Today called for the Utility Mode to cart my winter tires. The fog made me late but they took it in stride. I was in and out in just under an hour for my tire swap, which seems to be the standard during 90% of my visits there. Prices are pretty good (TIP: Labour rate is reasonable when you go outside of the city). They explain everything to you in terms that make sense. They can also fit you in within a day or two for regular appointments. Friendly folks. Their new digs in Okotoks are more spacious. The lounge area is pretty cushy and they have a good selection of junk and semi-healthy food in their vending machine. Cold cream too for your coffee or tea. Bonus! read more

Okotoks Honda has been my go to place for my Civic when ever I need some of those extra maintenance types of service done. I have also had my car detailed here twice. I am always nothing but pleased with their work and high level of customer service. To give you some perspective here too, I have a early 2000 model civic, it is by no means brand spanking new, I get reasonable and necessary repairs and appreciate good service for good value. If feel like I get that at Okotoks Honda. My last visit there a few weeks ago I had my transmission flushed and coolant serviced and while waiting I checked-in via Yelp and was pleasantly surprised to get a 15% off all service/maintenance deal there! Awesome!!! I live in the deep south of Calgary but find going to this dealership is really a quick drive from the city - you don't have to deal with any traffic chaos, etc to get here. Once you're here they have a shuttle service you can use and they'll drive you anywhere in Okotoks while you wait for their service. I haven't used it but I'm sure you probably just have to let them know when/where to pick you up later. I always sit and wait while my service is being complete (even if its 2 hrs). They have a super comfy and relaxing waiting area, with big leather chairs facing a good sized TV, plenty of magazines, a small coffee room, with coffee, tea, hot chocolate, etc., a kids play room which the kids seem to like, as well as another small private room to use if you need to make a private phone call. Oh - and what I love best about getting service done here is they offer to wash your car for free as part of your service! Love that!! read more

I recently purchased a vehicle from Okotoks Honda and had a great experience. Magid brought the vehicle into Calgary for me twice, once for me to test drive it and the next day so I could get it inspected. He waited patiently for the inspection to be over. We then went to the dealership and made the deal. I tried to get a lower price by $500 but they were firm which was fine with me as the mileage was exceptionally low and the price was very good. I had searched across Canada for a similar deal and couldn't find anything even remotely similar. The Carfax was clear. Some dealerships were selling previous rentals, leased cars and cars that had been in accidents. Magid explained everything to me, answered all my questions and was very friendly, polite and professional. I briefly met Burton, the Sales Manager and he was the same. Gina helped me purchase insurance over the phone so I could take the car home that day and she was also great. They obtained the registration for me which was very helpful. Overall the experience was really good and I highly recommend Okotoks Honda and Magid. It was definitely worth the trip. read more

They will go above and beyond to sell you a car! Wow, such great customer service you think... until you drive off the lot. Try to get anyone to call you back or help you out after you have purchased the car. I have been waiting for 3 different people to call me back for over a year. Now that I am looking into my warranty extension... STILL no call back. They are probably going to wait for 3 days, until my warranty is expired, to call me back. BRUTAL. Go to another branch instead. Hopefully they will be helpful even AFTER you purchase the car. read more

This is my 2nd CRV lease with Okotoks Honda and I don't have the desire to shop anywhere else. When I drive minutes from Calgary, I walk in and know exactly what I want and the dealers at Okotoks Honda meet my needs. They are also fun to work with as well. The girls in the finance department are amazing and very friendly. Parts and Service totally look after my CRV and get me back on the road. I would recommend Okotoks Honda. In fact I recommended them to my son and he just drove a brand new Pilot home last week. My daughter has a Civic! So we are definitely a Honda family. If I could get a license plate, it would read... Purchased a Honda CRV from this dealership two weeks ago. They were able to give us competitive pricing and we made the deal - feeling that both us and the dealership were treated fairly. They have the VIP program where they will pick up your vehicle and take it for service, delivering it back to you at the end of your workday - makes it convenient for people with busy schedules. Initially, we were NOT treated especially well, with the first salesperson shuffling us off to another salesperson within 7 minutes of sitting down with him. I guess he didn't realize that we were actually going to BUY a vehicle that day. Jacquie and Andrew saved that sale - and I had no hesitation in telling them so because after the "shuffling" , we almost walked out. (difficult to want to spend $35K with someone who treats you that way, wouldn't you agree?) We took advantage of the service program - to get the winter tires installed - but when the day arrived, no one showed up. Within 10 min. of me calling to find out where they were, Jacquie called to say that she would pick up the CRV herself. All taken care of, and the vehicle was returned at 4:45pm...(only 45min late). **We believe that things happen, but what COUNTS is how the problem is resolved. ** We would recommend this dealership - and specifically Jacquie and Andrew...(the other salesperson shall remain nameless in this review and we will hope his treatment of customers was an exception to the rule) read more
