Simply excellent. From beginning to end Michael and his team are absolutely professional, transparent, efficient and reliable. I had 7 split units installed with 3 compressors. He painstakingly described the plan for where to put the units in each room, how they would be connected and where the piping would go. The work inside the house was precise and with minimal displacement or disruption. Everytime they came into the house they treated with respect (e.g. by taking shoes off!) and cleaning up all dirt and dust from their work. Outside the work they did was done with extreme attention to detail to blend in with the look of the house. Absolutely incredible experience with this dynamic duo. Rarely can one say a job to install equipment at home can be so smooth and seamless, not to mention pleasant, but they meet this in a heartbeat. Michael and his colleague were so nice to deal with from day one. They came to our house to inspect and see what we wanted to do with mini split units. He was honest, respectful and provided sound advice on what worked and what didn't. What's great is that he will respect what you want to do but will give you clear feedback and let you decide next steps. He knows exactly what he's doing. Installation took two days and they were efficient, humorous, so respectful of your property, and overall really kind people. My husband and I are so pleased with their work. Piping on the exterior of the house could potentially look disastrous but they made it look like a work of art. The coils look perfectly aligned and very neat. Inside, the units hang elegantly and evenly on the walls. He also offered to handle the Con Ed rebate paper work which is fantastic. They came on time despite traffic issues from Brooklyn to Queens. They worked non-stop till lunch time which was 30 minutes and they were back at it. Work went late into the evening as they made sure every nut, bolt, piece, or whatever there was to fix/install was done right. If it looked out of place, they immediately perfected it. I'm shocked at how this installation took two days. They work quick but cautiously. It's an intensive, grueling type of labor. I was tired just observing their work. We highly recommend them! Short review for the lazy yelp readers: if you're looking for the best HVAC professional to install your Ductless/Mini-Split system, call Michael at Hyper Tech. You're welcome. Longer version: I was tired of the traditional noisy air conditioners and decided to pull the trigger on a ductless system. Michael came to give us a quote, walked me through the process and provided suggestions as I wasn't sure what I needed. I ended up getting two compressors and six air handlers with a bit of electrical work to go along with it. Pricing was more than fair for the level of craftsmanship and attention to detail. I will admit...I'm a bit of a perfectionist and want everything lined up, centered and leveled - Michael delivered flawlessly here. The installation was simply perfect. Few additional notes: The install comes with a two year labor warranty, five year parts warranty and a 10 year compressor warranty (just note that some of these numbers may be associated with the model you choose; I went with Mitsubishi). I first met Michael 7 years ago when he installed a mini split system in my house. After shopping around, he gave me a great price but what really made me decide to use him was the time he took explaining what would be done and what to expect. 3 years ago he installed a mini split at my mothers house. We now use him for all our cooling and heating needs. Also replaced water heaters at both houses. Michael is professional , friendly and provides prompt service in an emergency. We had a heating issue which other technicians couldn't resolve. Michael was able to find and fix the problem. Yesterday he cleaned my minisplits. Great job, no mess. Very respectful of property. Like many of us, we rely much on successful and happy installs. I was originally referred by a friend and glad I went ahead. A very straight up company, and the owner Michael tells it like it is. Do it right, get the right system (budget permitting) and he'll take care of the rest. He's a bit of a perfectionist so be prepared to let him measure thrice before he screws things on. It's fantastic. I had quite a few units to install so I asked if he could deliver the white ducts first so I can prep them to my homes exterior color, he did and I'm glad he spent the extra time to deliver it first. They make a plan and goes over the planned duct installation with you so you're comfortable and agree with the plan. They have tools to test the system at the end. We have been doing major repairs to my In-Laws house. One of the hardest professionals to find was an HVAC company I could trust. this may sound like an over-exaggeration but it is not. I called 8 companies for a quote for condensers and a mini-split system. Every one of them came with unbelievable BS sales tactics and an air of unprofessional slick-talking behavior. In desperation, I asked my newly hired electrician for any kind of referral. He said I would only use one company and that's Micheal from Hyper-tech, Thank God I found the right man for the job. I called his cell phone and instead of a million questions and attempting to give me a quote over the phone like the other clowns I called, He took my address and gave me a time and day at MY CONVENIENCE and he showed up EARLY! HE WAS AN IMMEDIATE HIRE, HE STARTED ON THE DAY HE PROMISED AND YOU GUESSED IT HE SHOWED UP EARLY. The price for the Mitsubishi AC/Heating 6 mini splits and 3 condensers was smack in the middle of all the others and I felt VERY FAIR! Micheal and his cousin worked every day from morning to evening gobbling down their lunch in 20 mins and they were back at it. He was on the last condenser installation and he heard a squeak in the interior of the unit it was already uncrated and under the deck, a hard area to install this monstrosity of a condenser. He turned to me and said " I can't install it sorry" I said Nah it's just a little squeak don't worry about it. He said Sorry I'm returning it, Have patience. They re-packed this thing in the crate which took 40 mins! So I waited 2 weeks for the replacement and I'm glad I did. The job was perfect, clean, and neat. He worked so closely with my contractor, Electrician, and plumber, he is an absolute professional. I am now enjoying my new system in every room. Not only is his price very fair, his work is exceptional and his knowledge of the units is very good. He is very reliable and dependable. One of my tenant's AC unit decided to stop working smack in the middle of summer. Fortunately it was the coolest day of the week. I tried calling the original installer to see if they could stop by and see what was the issue. Made an appointment but a no show. Called the company back and they stopped picking up. So now I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. So I called my brother and asked who he used and recommended? He referred me to Hypertech Cooling and I spoke with Micheal. Fortunately he lived only 10 minutes away so he stopped by with a face mask (awesome) and did a diagnostic check before he headed home. Spent a good 30 minutes and saw that the installers used a low end brand and said the piping was too small. That was the reason the unit had such a short life span. Michael recommended to go with a Mitsubishi brand but couldn't tell me when he could come back until the next morning to check on part availability. He called me back immediately the next morning and said the unit was in stock and could come by the next day to install. He then told me what the price was for installation. Being a landlord and in the middle of summer and pandemic, beggars can't be choosers. So I agreed with the price. But what really got me was, I asked him how much would the next size up would cost? He told me to save my money. For the the 1br apartment, the unit is more than enough to do the job. With that being said, I knew I was in good hands. Not saying that I don't trust my brothers recommendation. But that gave me peace of mind. They showed up as promised and cleaned up well after. Highly recommended. Btw, I did call 2 other places after the installation and asked for pricing with the same model and size, both company was well over Michael's pricing. I had these guys install 5 Mitsubishi split AC units in my house about 3 years ago. They were very professional and gave me the best price at that time. I still remember another company wanted to rip me off about $27 grand for the same installations but Hypertech beat them by miles. They also made me aware of some Con Edison rebates of about $1000 for these units which I really appreciated. Very highly recommended. Mike, you're the man!! read more
