Dangerous and dirty. The little kid section had exposed metal on a water bed like jumping platform and the balls in the ball pit were torn apart with jagged edges. On top of this the setup is horrible. It's really easy to lose your kid and inside the climbing structure there are random holes where your kid can just fall to the ground. It was filthy and all the structures were ripped. I would not recommend taking your kids here. read more

This is a little piece of heaven for kids. They can walk in and pretty much loose it. The place is smaller than i would have imagined so they were watching the number of people that came in. They have slides, trampolines, things to climb on etc. You can also purchase snacks and beverages for the kids. Overall a good time was had by all. read more

Wow. Ive been her 10 monites and the place sucks. None of the computers were calibrated to enter my information. So it took me 15 minutes to sign the wavier and Their website was down so I couldnt do it on my phone. Then I was told I had to fill out a waiver for EACH child. But there was no place on the waiver to add a kid. So I had to do this several times. There is no good place to sit for moms. Esp the grandparents. People over the age of 10 do not appreciate the stools or leaf chairs. The white plastic unstable chairs barely fit my ass and I keep sliding out of them. Im already wanting to leave. And so are most of the adults who are sitting on the floor. Staff is nice. read more

This place is very nice. It's small and it can be a little chaos. The workers are all nice and helpful and they have the rotation of party going well. The party helper does it all! Which is very relaxing to see! The bathrooms are clean and sanitary. Which I was really glad to see. The kids seems happy and excited to met new friends. The parents seems at ease and friendly. Our girls enjoyed the place, they are hard to find from the main road so keep your eyes open! We took my niece and nephew here for a fun day of play and they had an amazing time. I would totally give this place a five star review. However there are major safety concerns that have to be addressed! I'm the 2-7 section they have a ball out at the bottom of the slides with LATEX BALLONS! Latex balloons are an extreme hazard to children especially young children. If a child pops one of those balloons and ingests it they will suffocate and die. There is nothing anyone will be able to do and and medical help will never make it in time. At the top of the structure I found pieces of already popped ballons and unattended small children. There is also blind spots in the structured where you can't see kid and these pieces of latex balloons. BY NO MEANS SHOULD YOU HAVE LATEX BALLONS Outside of party rooms! Fix the issue or I'm happy to call the health department and report you. You open yourselves up to be sued. read more

Definitely worth my drive from Eldersburg. Kids had a wonderful time running around this huge okay place. Many different varieties of activities to play with. If your kid is a slider, bouncer, or climber they have them covered. The owner David and his staff are wonderful, well trained, and polite always wanting to help of you need something and making sure your needs are met if they come up. It's very clean there and there is even an employee walking around with a dust buster picking up any stray pieces of debris from all the kids running around. There are 3 large rooms to accommodate your birthday party group too which is nice to know for the future. Will definitely go back soon for some more fun! read more

It was incredibly over crowded, did not appear clean, half of the climbing structure was dark, nearly impossible to keep an eye on your kid so you're constantly roving around trying to lay eyes on them...this was a first and a last for me. I took my 1 year old here on a Monday at about 3pm, it was already really busy. My son had fun, however, I do feel like he could've enjoyed himself a lot more if it wasn't as crowded. Make sure you remember to bring socks for yourself and your child because you can not enter without. Don't bring any valuables inside, unless you feel comfortable leaving your things in the front entrance area where they have open cubbies. To make a long story short, this place still have some kinks to work out. Reservations should be in place to control the capacity, especially on the weekends. We went on the first Monday that they were open, and it was PACKED. That being said, the owner and his wife were manning everything and still making time to introduce themselves to guests. It was a really nice touch and you can tell that they sincerely care and want people to have a good time. They really have thought of so much and there were so many thoughtful touches that impressed me. One of the things that I really appreciate is that they almost have "lifeguards" in the play areas watching everything and if a child needs help, they are right there. The area is clean, safe, and quite efficient for how much there is, and how many people are there. The only thing I would feel better with is if some of the areas were a little bit more enclosed for the age groups. But I can also see how for others having it more enclosed would be more difficult for them. read more

This place is a lot smaller than expected. The pictures online made it look huge. We walked inside and said......this is it? It's definitely geared more for toddlers to early elementary school aged kids. Our 6th grader wasn't too thrilled about this place lol which is understandable but the 3 year old was having the time of her life! And the smile she was wearing while in there was priceless and heart warming. It's very cute, family friendly, clean, and safe environment. People of all ages and races/ethnicities which I can appreciate. Bathrooms were clean and they also have these disposable footwear you can wear in the bathroom (since this is a shoe free zone......yes even the parents who aren't participating and just sitting enjoying watching their children play) which is a nice touch so your socks don't get all those nasty bathroom floor germs. I HATE this place. I have 3.5 year old twins who love indoor play spaces but they literally told me that this place is "scary." It is always overcrowded and kids shove each other all over the place and there are very few employees in the larger play structure to help kids. They turn off the lights every 10? Minutes and it sent my kids into terrified tears. The entrance and exit are the same door and they have to check you to get out to make sure that you didn't kidnap a child. So there's a huge line to exit and a huge line to enter through the same spot. Also- I don't want to be in a place where kidnapping is that big of a concern. Also- everything is neon or light up and not in good condition. We came once about a year and a half ago when this place first opened and we were there for a birthday party just recently so it should be in such bad shape yet. Also, don't come here by yourself with two children. you need a one to one ratio to watch them in this chaotic setting. This place is overstimulating, overcrowded and out of control. We were there during birthday party time and every time there was a new dance party, the lights were turned off. I was there for a birthday party and they did it for that party as well. Not scary when you're on the dance floor. Terrifying for kids in the place space where other kids are shoving and it's high up and dark. Much of the equipment is duct taped together including the stairs up into the large play structure, some of the swings near the ball pit etc. I saw one person monitoring the shiny ball pit area mostly to keep parents from going down the slides, not moving children out of the way once they got down to the bottom and there was often a pile up. Then I saw someone in the the two and under area but didn't have experience in there because my children are over two. I saw no one else and I was up in the play structure because it was so dangerous I wouldn't let my kids go up there alone. Kids are shoving each other all over the place it wasn't just one child. I'm sure it's legal to have that many children there, that doesn't mean it's safe. Yes I'm glad that my children werent kidnapped but I don't really want to put them in a situation where they might be kidnapped. My family checked this place out today, a Sunday. We were a tad frustrated because when we were doing research on the time they opened, their website said one thing, Waze said one thing, and when we called their number, it gave us an incorrect time. When we arrived at 10:45 (we thought it opened at 11) it was crowded. The woman at the front desk was kind, had us complete the waiver prior to ringing us up. We removed shoes and of course had our masks. We were given wrist bands for "security" and we were on our way. Lots of fun activities for the kids, they had a blast!! Since it is still "COVID" times, I honestly had expected their to be signs of sprayers for disinfectant- we were there to witness a 10min shit down for "cleaning" and again what I thought would have been battery powered sprayers, was employees wiping with rags and spray. Not a complete for me but the technology is easy enough to to buy from Lowes or Home Depot. There were definitely some areas that needed to be cleaned- scrubbed- cleaned vs disinfected. The staff was kind and friendly. Wish they had a water bottle refill station. I liked that their bathrooms were kid friendly which gave my daughter independence to go to the restroom. The last thing that kind of shocked me was that no one checked to make sure I only left with my children. My daughter could have wandered out with a random family. Kind of a waste to give wristbands if no one is going to look at them. Overall, we will most likely return and of course continue our own cleaning and hand washing. First, prior to today our family (and all our neighbors' family) were big fans of hyper kidz. After today, we are never returning. I was reading a book while my 8yo son played and saw him slowly coming toward me not looking right. I asked him what was wrong & he burst into tears, sobbed telling me if he told a woman was going to kill him and come 'f' me up. He went on to describe how a mother confronted him, cornered him and told him she would kill him and 'f' him up if he didn't leave her daughters alone (my son has a very different version of events and I'm not the kind of mother to deny things people tell me about my son but (a) an adult has no business confronting & threatening a child and (b) my son cops to stuff when he knows he's caught & reported the girls were bothering him and he was trying to get away.) She warned him not to go running to his mother because she would 'f' her up to and said she knows she would go to jail but she would still beat his 'a'. These are not words or phrases my son has ever been exposed to. I asked what she looked like and told him I would take care of it. I looked up to see her storming toward me telling me how I needed to teach my son respect. I explained it was not ever appropriate to confront a child and told her to not ever speak to my child again. She continued to yell for a while and walked away. This is where Hyper kidz lost my business. I approached the manager and explained the situation. She could see my son hyperventilating and got him a water bottle but tried to talk to him while the woman sat 10ft away. I explained he needed to not be near her as he was terrified. We sat down in some chairs and my son still shaking & crying reported he just needed to leave. I gave him several more minutes to see if he would calm down and feel better but he insisted we had to leave. As we were leaving the manager approached me to provide 2 free return admissions. I asked why the woman in question was still there and we were leaving (it's against the law to threaten harm, after all). She explained she'd spoken with the mother and told her to approach management in the future. That was it. We were leaving with a traumatized child still shaking and constantly looking over his shoulder "I had no idea grown ups ever talked that way to kids, Mom" and the woman got to stay. I contemplated staying in the parking lot to call the police and file charges but my son was so upset we ended up leaving. So now I'm informing others via Yelp, FB, and listservs. An adult threatened and cornered a child in children's play place and was allowed to stay without consequence. So feel free to go just knowing if another adult confronts your child there will be no consequences. read more

This is a awesome place for kids of all ages, under 13. Something for everyone to do. This is better though as a walk-in to have fun vs having a party. We had my daughters 2nd Birthday party, and for the amount of money you pay for the party you should be able to have the room for the 2 hour block of time, so the adults have a place to congregate and everyone can put their belongings. The weekend is already crazy in there, then with Birthday parties it was a mad house. Adults had no where to relax while the kids played. You get 45 min at the end to be in the room, but by time everyone gets in there and pizza is passed out you have to rush through cake and leave room so they can get ready for next party. The hostess we had, Jessica was amazing. The kids had a blast, and that's what matters. Just would have been nice for guests to have a little more special treatment and be able to store belongings in a room and hang out in there until food time. Booked a party here for my daughter turning 5. First of all it's much much smaller than it appears online. You can literally see the whole facility from the door. Very chaotic and disorganized. The smell in this confined space was horrible. Shift leader had a horrible attitude. No real procedure in place for parties and where they should be during free play until they are seated in the party room. Nobody seemed to really be in charge of anything. The dance you get with your party package is a joke and not a single employee even assists you with it besides telling you it's your turn. The only bright side to this visit was the hostess who was professional and polite. Definitely wouldn't take the hours drive again, it's just not worth it! However, I would warn that the place can be a little overwhelming with the vast amount of people, I had 4 children with me by myself although the two oldest were fine in the big kid zone, I found it chaotic to keep an eye on my two little ones even in the toddler zone due to so many children and adults! I would definitely recommend bringing a partner if you have multiple children. Also the age restrictions aren't really enforced for specific areas I made it up the first level to grab my oldest and tell him it was time to go and ran into more than one child that looked to be no older than 2! Usually we love coming here and feel pretty good about the cleanliness and safety of the space UNFORTUNATELY this visit was full of disappointment. There were popped balloons laying around in the ages 2-7 kids zone along with dirty tissues along with debris of balloons and trash in the 2 and under section. Overall there was an excessive amount of dirt, stains and debris all over the entire floor space making us feel extremely uncomfortable having our 1yr old crawling around. Just found out about Hyperkidz. Took my almost 2 year old there to check it out, because I was thinking about having his birthday there in 2 weeks. Since Covid started I haven't taken my baby out anywhere other than the grocery store, so he has had little to no interaction with other kids since he was born (my only other child is 19). If your concerned about Covid, you might want to wait until it's all over. I went on a Saturday and I am pretty sure they were well over 50% capacity at 11am. I don't understand people who are complaining about social distance at a establishment like this, kids and toddlers don't know anything about it. They want to play and interact with other children, and if you don't want your child near other kids you should not bring them to a huge indoor playground. There was so much for my child to do. But make sure you bring someone who can run and get in the jungle gym with them. It's easy to lose sight of your child once they get inside, especially when they climb up in the big kids play area. My baby is two but the size of a 5 year old so the baby section did him no justice. Overall, pretty good experience, other than the overcrowding. Also, it takes forever to check in. They only had 2 people at the counter and a huge line, turns out to get in is quite a process. Which is fine and understandable but they should have more people on weekends to make the process go faster. I was holding my 45lb child trying to keep him from running into the jungle gym while waiting in line. Kids are eager to play and don't want to wait, the line makes it difficult and I almost turned around once I saw the line and how crowded it was. Iam glad I didn't my baby had a ball. read more

I booked a party event for my upcoming 1 year's old birthday. About a week prior to my son's birthday party, my mother unexpectedly passed away and my husband attempted to get our deposit back. They refused to give us our deposit back and instead offered us tickets for future visits. We explained that we lived about 1.5 hours away and tickets were not feasible, but with their 'sickly-sweet, customer service voice' they told us, "Sorry, the only thing we can offer you are future tickets." I am writing this review two years later, and we also moved out of state less than 6mos after they refused our deposit, so tickets were completely negligible for us. We decided to move closer to my husband's family. I felt I should share my limited experience. I am sure the venue is great for kids, but their customer service is terrible. My mom passed away and you refused to give me my deposit back. Awful, terrible. I was already dealing with a lot, even financial issues with my mom's estate, and you didn't even bother to help us. read more

2 stars because my son enjoyed himself and they play areas are nice. Other than that, I was very uncomfortable with turning my head 1 second from watching my son's every move. This was because the place is so packed and chaotic without a lot of order. My son was in the area with the slides and ball pool for most of the day. There were so many kids there sliding down the sliding boards before waiting for the kids below to clear out first. At most indoor play areas there is usually a staff member that sits at the top of the slide(s) to make sure it doesnt happen. The bathrooms are somewhat clean considering the over 300 people who were there at capacity. The staff was very unprofessional. The young ladies cleaning the bathrooms was very rude. She was talking loud to another employee about how a customer thought that she was following her. When someone asked her about where to place the foot covers that they give you to cover your feet in the bathrooms, she told the woman in a rude tone "The trash! We don't reuse those!"The two ladies at the front desk were whispering to each and laughing about the appearance of one of the customers meanwhile there were three lines of people trying to pay and get in. Overall, the concept is nice but the operations and staffing side of the house needs work. It so just so chaotic that it felt like a safety hazard waiting to happen. I found a deal on CertifiKID for a weekday party and I thought it was great since I've heard the place gets crowded on the weekends. I did everything over the phone with a party coordinator and she told me someone was going to call me 2 days prior the party to confirm and order the extras (pizza and drinks for the adults). I called them on the day before the party and the phone was broken and there was a voice message asking us to contact them through email. Luckily I was able to talk to a party coordinator after a few hours and I placed an order for 5 extra pizzas. She told me I could just ask for the drinks I needed on the day of the party. I got there and a very nice girl walked me through the place and got me a large room for pizza and cake. She went through the schedule and I was very happy with the space. That place is great! I've never seen anything like it in the DMV area. It's time for pizza and cake! We went in the room and she started serving pizza and juice for the kids when I asked for the 5 extra pizzas. She looked on my list and told me there was no extra pizzas. I told her I had called the day before and had ordered them but it would be great if she could get me at least 3 pizzas. She went to the front desk and came back telling me she could only get 2 pizzas but it would take about 15 minutes. I agreed and asked for a 2 liter coke and a lemonade. There was no lemonades left and she brought me a 2 liter coke. Now on the website says they provide plates and cups but there were only plates. I brought personalized plates and cups for the kids and told her I would need some for the adults. A friend of mine had her son's birthday party there right after they opened and it was a disaster! I had another friend having a party there and everything was nice because she told me she was constantly calling and emailing them to make sure there were no mistakes like they had at our friend's party. I have to say the place is amazing and being able to let the kids play after pizza and cake until they close is a BIG plus! They need a manager or someone to organize it better. If we can't bring drinks from outside they need to be able to provide them and it was not the case with me. Also, the drinks are VERY expensive! I recommend hyper Kidz because the space is great and you can let the kids play after cake but make sure they will have your order right so you have no surprises at your party. I was not happy at all that my guests had to wait a lot for the pizza and they didn't have the drinks I wanted. read more

There are safety issues at Hyper Kidz. I was leaving the first party room next to the LED dance floor, when the steel bar on the door sucked in the skin of my arm causing a giant bruise. I had to figure out how to remove the skin of my arm from the door while in a great deal of pain. I notified a staff member of my concern. I am writing this review so that parents/caregivers are careful with their children here. What if this door had sucked in part of a child's finger or part of their face? I also fell down the slippery vinyl steps near the slide and I hurt my shoulder- please be cautious. This place is overly crowded on the weekend and your smaller children can be easily hurt by larger and older children. Hyper Kidz is overstimulating, raucous, and dangerous. My theory is that this place will encourage ADHD symptoms in your children like the show Sponge Bob. read more

It was nice when it first opened. We have been coming for over a year and a lot of the areas are closed now due to disrepair and some of the places that are open need repair bad. My daughter loves this place it's like a paradise for kids. We recently had a birthday party and selected the package to accommodate 15 kids. The food is a little expensive, I just learned they have a partnership with a local carryout. So pizzas for example would be $10 at the carryout and Hyper Kidz charges $20. Aside from the pricey food everything was great. When you pay for a party room the kids will typically play for an hour while they set up your room. Our hostess was very nice and provided extra plates cups etc and cleaned up after we were finished. The only negatives I have is the fact it can get crowded, foods $$ and when they called our party to go to the dance floor alot of kids that weren't apart of the party decided to come over as well. But there just kids no biggie. Be sure to tip your hostess that helps with the party. Hope this helps read more

My 18 month old son & I visited this place for the first today & he absolutely loved it! This place has a lot to offer for the little ones. It's a great indoor playground & I'm glad we found it! We'll definitely be back! I deducted one star because the young lady at the front desk was a little standofish. She advised us to fill out the waiver & then we went back to her to pay. She wasn't engaging or friendly. In fact, she called one of her co workers a "Chatty Cathy" (in front of us) because that other employee was engaging & even advised us that once we sign the waiver we don't have to do it everytime. BUYER BEWARE!! I used to take my son to visit this place so much that we decided to book his birthday party. Unfortunately, the pandemic caused for it to be cancelled, yet they refuse to refund the full deposit. We are being charged a 25% administrative fee. We understand this is a situation beyond anyone's control but why are we not entitled to a full refund? The other options for a rescheduled date or future visits doesn't work for our family. This is poor business practice and as a result, we will no longer patronize Hyper Kidz. Furthermore, we will spread the word to all of our friends and family to follow suit. If we had to cancel the party due to some type of emergency on our end, we would completely understand. But this business has now received our hard earned money without providing any service. Thanks for nothing....NEVER AGAIN! There are plenty of alternatives with much better customer service practices. If we had the time, we would file a lawsuit OUT OF SHEER PRINCIPLE. read more

I visited Hyper Kidz yesterday with my 12 months old baby girl and she had a blast! No shoes are allowed, just socks, remember to bring your socks and your little ones socks as well! This place is a little overwhelming at first but to be fair, It only looks that way until you find the age appropriate section for your child, which didn't take too long at all! Hyper Kidz is a great place for kids to burn some energy. In the back they have a section for smaller kids, like my daughter. They have an awesome little pond thats it's like a water bed, (no real water) my daughter loved It, she also loved the ball pit and the balloons! There were so many cool things, I had so much fun watching her play and figure stuff out, like the balls that get sucked up and float around in one of the play areas! I really appreciate that this place has things to do for all ages, up to ~10 years old! Hyper Kids is a very clean place and they have a nursing room too! When you arrive, you fill out some information and a waiver on tablets, there are 3-4 tablets but on a busy day, I can see how It would take forever to wait for. I came here on a Tuesday and I had to wait about 5 minutes to fill out the waiver and then you have to go over to pay, which didn't take long. (I do really appreciate that they do give military discount!) the other thing is, when you enter, you get stamped but on the way out, no one checked our stamps, I just walked out, so I do feel like that could be an issue (God forbid) but just Incase. All in all, this place is awesome and I would come back again with my little one, they do get really crowded though, so I would recommend calling to see how busy they are or come on a weekday! read more

Their equipment hasn't aged very well from when they first opened. There are holes in the floor, equipment not working as intended and rules not being enforced. It is kinda annoying that as they had time to adjust to new concerns, more and more rules have been added (but most of their guest don't follow them). It seems as they wanted to have customers follow the rules so that they can cut down on employees. Last time I was there, there were no employees on the floor - as I made a point to specifically look. A big disappointed is that there is literally not enough space for everything they crammed in there. Adding people only makes it worse. It really would of helped if they had a more open concept with room to comfortably explore. As a parent with a child who has a deadly allergy .... food options sucks. There was a time I could bring in outside snacks. ThAt has since changed. It's sad that it's not unlimited play for us bc I can't grab a snack and let her continue to play like others.
