This place states they're halal and that they get their meat from Sargent Farms. We had the chicken mughlai, lamb gongura, chicken biryani and garlic naan. The gongura has a strong taste. Slightly earthy, slightly bitter, tiny bit tart. The mughlai was a light taste and creamy. Unlike most places, there was a good amount of meat and big chunks in the curry. The naan was relatively thin and soft but unfortunately more expensive than most places at $3.49. The size was average. Sufficient for one person. The samosa were two for $3.99. Bigger than Samosa King and CanBe. The pastry was flaky, thin and inside was dense with potatoes. The taste was not as flavorful as I would like though. I personally will not be purchasing it again. The chicken biryani was simple. Very few pieces of chicken. The raita which came included with the biryani was thin and runny, had chunks of cucumber and seemed to have little or no mint. I didnt really like it tbh. A little watery. I'd recommend the curries, biryani and naan.

Recently ordered their Chicken and Veg Biryani for Eid and it was a very good decision. Very neatly packed in spill proof containers, the portion size was adequate. Coming to the taste, it was bang on target. Use of basmati rice enhanced the flavours and the chicken was cooked perfectly. Would definitely be ordering again.

Both of these dishes work delicious together as a meal. This is now my favourite spot for Pakistani food. The chicken in both dishes was moist and flavourful. The curry had a perfect balance of spicy, tomato, tangyness. * Hyderabad dum biryan chicken * Hyderabad chicken curry

My friend recommended this place after having tried their Biriyani through a bulk corporate lunch order. Don't under estimate this restaurant with the outside hoarding and sketchy complex. Even if it is a small restaurant it is a tidy little restaurant. If you are going as a large group - more than 6, would recommend to call them earlier and book tables. The interiors reminded me of Biriyani Restaurants back home! The menu startled me with other regular indian dishes and starters as well. I wasn't expecting that and for obvious reason expected the menu to be a long list of biriyanis! We went all in on Biriyanis and ordered three different ones. It took a little while but the dishes came fresh and hot. The waiters were kind and attentive but be expected to wait a little as it does seem understaffed when the place is full. The best thing I like about the Biriyanis was that each of them was unique and different. It wasn't like any other usual indian place where they have the base flavored rice and just mix up the protein pieces of your choosing. These dishes were crafted! You know you cannot wait long when you have a really good biriyani infront of you. We dug in and finished the plates empty! I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are Biriyani fan!

If you are True Spicy Biryani fan please visit the place :) The portion of the remaining items (curry, raita) are small.

Was really craving some chilli chicken and didn't have any expectations and wow while I was initially disappointed that there was no gravy with the chilli chicken, my disappointment vanished after the first bite. The chilli chicken was so flavourful with great spice. The spicy chicken fry, wow. The hints of cardamom just worked so well and had me wanting more with every bite. Also ordered the badam milk which served as an amazing sweet finish to the meal. Will most definitely be ordering again

Ordered meat Thali and chicken biryani for lunch- tasted amazing! The meat thali comes with 2 curries, a daal, rice, pickle, sweet (gulab jamon) and naan - loves the flavours! The biryani was rich and flavourful, did not disappoint

The service was ok but what we ordered was sprite and mango lassi and biryani and chicken tikka the chicken tikka was fresh and the mango lassi was'nt sweet it was a slow service for an empty place. Like dum biryani came after 15 mins and tikka took 30 mins. Dum biryani was not spicy as it is supposed to be .

The I Heart Butter Tart Concrete ($6.49) that I ordered was a little too much for myself. I did decide to go through and finish the ice cream / sundae just so I don't have anything to go. The interior of the place was properly though out and well designed. Self order stations are available to order from and the ordering interface is one of the better systems I have seen. When I dined in early afternoon on a weekday it was a rather slow day. There were a couple of Shake Shack employees constantly roaming about the premises ready to attend to any customer request. 1 such employee was thoughtful enough to serve me and a group of other customers some water. I have mixed feelings about the bathroom setup. Yes, it is clean and there were a few toilet rooms available, but it requires a code to be entered prior to using. The door screen shows as vacant but an employee still needs to give out the 4 digit code needed to access the toilets. I also found some issues with the water faucet sensors. It is inconsistently picking up my gestures resulting in an unreliable and unsteady flow of running water when I was washing my hands.

We had spring rolls & garlic chicken as appetizers. Everyone ordered their own main. I ordered the Beef Pad Thai with some modifications for my food allergies & preferences. The pad thai was really delicious & filling! Well, maybe because I had the appetizers too. LOL. In any case I enjoyed my food & couldn't finish it all. So I took the rest home in a small container. We didn't have any dessert because we were full! Service: I came early to make sure we didn't lose our table & was seated right away. I ordered appetizers so when everyone came they would have something to eat while the main dishes were being cooked. The main dishes actually came pretty fast after we ordered them. Our waitstaff were two different ladies & they were very nice & efficient. Ambiance: The decor is very kitschy. There were paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling. And the door to the bathroom is a rustic wooden door. The tables are basic & chairs all had different colours. I don't mind the decor but it's very casual so not the best for a corporate dinner if you want something fancy. Also the music was quite loud. So it was hard to have a conversation. I like the food here & it's in a convenient spot. It's just really loud & casual. Also there isn't much space between the tables so if the restaurant is full it could feel squishy! I would come back here again to try some different dishes.

The first course was Labneh with bread, hummus, & beef tartare. Second course was Lamb pide & pear salad. Third course was grilled branzino, middle eastern fried chicken, black truffle rice, and thrice cooked fries. Then there was dessert which was chocolate mousse cake & baklava. Because of my many food allergies the main server for our table was very attentive & specific in asking me what I wanted as modifications. For example I got a wagyu beef pide instead of the lamb. Every dish was really delicious, presented well & quite filling. I couldn't eat all of the food. Though I tried almost everything. Service: The pacing of the dishes was quite masterful. They really paid attention to when the food was going to come out. As I mentioned above the main server was very attentive to my food allergies. I really appreciated that as some restaurants aren't as attentive. The food was served family style so everyone could take what they wanted from the serving dishes. The dishes were served in little bowls along the tables with each bowl serving about 4 people. We had asked for one long table so it was a little snug. But we made it work. Ambiance: For dinner the lighting of the space is really dim. LOL. I would have appreciated just a little bit more light. The restaurant is in an old building so to use the washroom you had to go down two flights of stairs. The dining area is small also. But it's a pretty space. As mentioned above we asked for one long table to seat 15 people. I was expecting square tables but it was a bunch of small round tables pushed together. So the tables were really crowded with food from all the dishes. But the servers made sure to take empty serving dishes away as soon as possible. The music was a little loud for me so I had to yell to be heard. The place was packed though. Everyone at our table enjoyed the food, the service & atmosphere. The restaurant is close to Roy Thompson Hall & the other theatres nearby so it's a convenient location as well. It's too bad this place is only open for dinner. I would have loved to see how they would operate a lunch time service. In any case, Byblos was amazing. I would come back here again to try other dishes! Note: Some of my pics of the main dishes didn't turn out so it's mostly desserts that are pictures

I ordered the following: 1. BYOP: Garlic Shrimp, penne, rose sauce, broccoli, black olives, mushrooms. It automatically comes with sliced green peppers and chopped parsley. 2. Opening Special ($6.99) x 2. For the BYOP, they didn't warn me it was medium spicy. I can handle it with a cold drink! The shrimp and penne were perfectly cooked. I loved the rose sauce. My choices of broccoli,  black olives, and mushrooms worked well together and with the base. The Opening Special was delicious; the Mac n Cheese part and BBQ Chicken were really good! Unfortunately, the BBQ was mildly spicy, and my son didn't like it; more for me! The customer service was good. It took them a long time to prepare the food (there were many orders prior to mine). But it was opening day, so hopefully, they will speed up their cooking. There is no free WiFi. The food stall is wheelchair accessible, but there is no door-open button. There are no customer washrooms. There is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2025-014

Everything was tasty! The dessert however was the highlight, taro ice cream was really good, the yuzu sorbet was very refreshing.
