Butter chicken
Wynne L.

My friend and I met here for a very late lunch. She got there around 2 pm and the server (manager?) came to prod me to order since the kitchen was closing at 2:15 pm. We both ordered the butter chicken and it came out quick with the naan following soon after. The butter chicken and naan were good as I expected so no complaints there. The doors were open on this particularly hot and humid day so after a while I was starting to feel the effects of no AC -_-'. I was very lucky to find a parking spot right outside the restaurant on the street at $3/hr. There are very few of those spots. My friend parked around the corner on a side street.

Naan, paneer makhani and vegetable biryani.

We were looking for another Indian restaurant for take out that was close to us. So we decided to try this place even though it has an usual name. We ordered e vegetable biryani, paneer makhani and naan. Since this was an experimental place for us we stuck to some basic dishes. The vegetable biryani was cooked and seasoned well, they add paneer cubes which is nice but I wish they added some potatoes as well. The paneer dish was okay, it had a little too much cumin in my opinion but it wasn't bad. The naan was very good, nice and fluffy. The place seems busy although we did not sit inside. The interiors are okay and I am not too fond of the customer service. Overall, I would try this place again and try more dishes. The biryani itself was very good.

Going to The Copper Chimney was a last minute decision. Since I have no idea what's in the neighbourhood, all the 4 star reviews on Yelp led me here. I have to say I was a little disappointed with my experience here. The reservation was painless as I reserved through Open table. My friend decided to meet me up at The Copper Chimney since it is one of the places he want to visit. I want something spicy and hot, so I decided on trying the Chicken Vindaloos ($11.95) and with Naan ($1.95). I requested Indian Spicy... which come out to be Indian Mild... it definitely didn't give me a heartburn nor made me drink water like there's no tomorrow! My friend decided on the Nailli Lamb ($14.95) which I don't really care as much as I never a lamb person. I didn't realize we ordered a large order of rice ($3.50), until it arrived on the table and it showed up on the bill. The portion was quite small... as my friend after finished eating his lamb started digging into my chicken....and after he still hungry.... Service was a little slow but friendly, as the restaurant was packed. Tips: look for coupons online.....

Came here with work colleagues to celebrate the start of summer. Copper Chimney is apparently a favorite of the locals. Service was pretty good as I found our server to be extremely attentive. One of the dishes was extremely spicy (for me) and I needed a lot of water so our server came to the rescue. CC has a lot of lunch specials and you get bang for your buck. I ordered the Chef's Special ($10), which was a generous portion. Anyway, I've had the opportunity to check out a few Indian restaurants - CC was good, but nothing out of this world hence the three star review. That being said, I would not be opposed to dine here if I was invited out. Good for: Indian, lunch

Decided to order on uber eats on May 7th and ordered 3 gravies with Butter Naan. The Naan was of good quality but the gravies were not of great taste, and were extremely oily. Inspite of my instruction to use less oil, I felt there was more than 100 ml oil in the gravies. If you are concerned about health, pls do not visit this restaurant.

Picked up local Indian for a last minute meal last night. Service was quick. Didn't have to wait too long. Even a cash discount! Ordered two chicken dishes, rice and some garlic naan. Butter chicken was bang on. Fan favourite was the rice and the showstopper was the naan. A must try place for a weekday takeout!

Tasty saag paneer

Tasty food, really fresh, reasonably priced and they deliver! This place has just become my new favorite Indian eatery :) I always order the same three things the first time I try an Indian place, to see how they match up to each other. The butter chicken was very pleasant, with tender chunks of white meat in a sauce that wasn't overly sweet. The lamb vindaloo is made with surprisingly tender pieces of meat (most places overcook their lamb), and the sauce is flavourful and oh so spicy (as advertised). What amazed me was the saag paneer. It was a bright, fresh green :) Not a dull waterly sludge like most places, and you could see and actually taste the spinach! The paneer was a nice texture, not rubbery at all. It was the best saag paneer I've ever tasted. I can't speak to the issues other people had, because they're mostly service issues. The fact that they're delicious and delivery makes them tops in my books :)

The food was actually good here. Love the curries and the naan bread, why is that so good? The ambiance is intimate, good for a casual date or some sort of celebration. Everything was tasty, but the service was really slow. I think we waited more close to an hour. It was a full house but still. I would come back again.

Onion bhaji

What a hidden gem of an Indian restaurant who's been around for almost 8 years. Northern Indian restaurant this is, its not as spicy as the usual Southern Indian food that I have had before usually. Photos hanging on the wall are well displayed and showcases how beautiful certain parts of India is. Restaurant is packed with alot of repeat customers and take-up out delivery. The mango Lassi is thick, dishes tend to be on the creamy side. Deliciously good. The only thing I find mediocre is the sauces like tamarind, mango chutney and the green dipping sauces are cold. They literally took it out from the fridge and served it to your table. Tonight's tandoori chicken was abit dry, but still well seasoned. The saag ( spinach and paneer)was good, the onion bhaji was delicious and the chilli lime wings was not as spicy as I thought it looked. Maybe hailing from Malaysia I'm used to a different kind of spicy food. But if you are good to start of wanting to try Indian food and not wanting to much spiciness, this is a bloody good place to start.

Having read some good reviews for this place on a food related forum I jumped on the opportunity to dine here when a fellow Yelp Eating Buddy (YEB) said they were heading there. YEB made a reservation and I showed up a bit early. The place was busy even though it was the middle of the week plenty of reserved tables and then the dining area started filling up. I ordered a glass of Shiraz while I waited for my YEB. I went through the menu and the lamb nalli (shank) caught my eye as it was mentioned as a specialty. I was checked on regularly and my wine was poured in promptly. Finally YEB came and after a going through the menu settled with Chicken Vindaloo and asked for it spicy. The server suggested we order both Naan and Rice. We thought two mains should suffice. They give out free pappadums with mint sauce. Meh nothing to write home about. The mains were served in a reasonable amount of time. The lamb looked good but vindaloo looked like a tiny portion. Anyway I was starving so went ahead and started eating. The Lamb shank were obviously reheated as you can't braise shanks so fast. The taste was below average with the base of the sauce over powering the spices. As for the vindaloo the first bite was hot but it mellowed out after that (they use chicken breast and dark meat would have given more body to this dish IMO) but I think it was more authentic of the two mains. I can see this place appealing to western tastes but is too mellowed down to be authentic. Total damage almost 50$ for two and I was still hungry! Service was good but when you factor in the food 2.5 star overall.

Unfortunately this place was wildly disorganized and seemingly understaffed so I ended up waiting while the one person manning the cash took all the orders of the people standing in line, so I kind of missed the ritual perk of not having to wait. Finally the girl asked what I was waiting for and I told her, the order was ready in the window, minus the piece of naan I had ordered. She told the person cooking to prepare the naan and I saw her place this floppy looking piece of flat bread on a grill top and spritz it with water while it cooked, not a good sign. After about 5 minutes of waiting, another person showed up and started yelling at the girl in the back, they seemed to be very confused about what was going on with the naan. Once it was finally put into my bag with the rest of my order I took off to avoid and further confusion. The food certainly wasn't worth the wait. It was mediocre at best, it's like when you order Indian food at a restaurant that serves burgers. There was a cheapness to it and the amount of chicken and paneer was pretty sad. I think there were three small pieces of dried out chicken in a pool of butter chicken sauce. The naan was soggy and sad. The plus side was that there was a good amount of sauce and rice. I can't really recommend this place, especially with Indian crown right across the street, serving up much better quality food and better prices as well. They actually have a tandoor style oven in their takeout window, so no sad, soggy, grill top naan.

Overall, a solid 4-star experience at Goan Indian Farm Kitchen…read more The Chicken Tikka was hands down the star of the meal--10/10! The chicken was perfectly tender and juicy, with a beautiful char from the grill. The marinade was full of spices that were perfectly balanced, and the smoky flavor was absolutely delightful. My only suggestion would be to serve a bit more mint chutney alongside, as the coolness and freshness of the chutney paired beautifully with the spice of the chicken. The Spicy Beef Kebab was decent, but I have to give it a 7/10. While the texture was great, and the kebab was tender, it could've benefited from a stronger, more distinct flavor profile. The spices were a bit too overwhelming, and the beef lacked the depth I was hoping for. A bit more seasoning and complexity would've elevated it. The Palak Paneer was solid, but not perfect--8.5/10. The spinach sauce was creamy and flavorful, with just the right amount of spices, but I found that there wasn't enough paneer in the dish. It felt like there was a great base, but the lack of enough paneer left me wanting more of that rich, cheesy bite that makes this dish so satisfying. Still, the sauce itself was excellent. The Makhan Chicken with Mushrooms was good but somewhat underwhelming--7/10. The chicken itself was cooked well, but the flavor of the sauce didn't quite have the depth or richness I expected. The mushrooms added some nice earthiness, but overall, I was hoping for a more complex, flavorful dish. It was fine, but it didn't stand out compared to the other items. As for dessert, the Bebinca was warm and moist, but it lacked the depth of flavor I was hoping for--6.5/10. The texture was perfect--soft and almost cake-like--but the sweetness and coconut flavor didn't quite pop the way it should. I feel like the Gulabjamun Rose Cheesecake might have been a better pick, as the Bebinca didn't quite hit the mark. But the true highlight of the meal was the Mango Lassi Cheesecake - 10/10. It was absolutely divine! It tasted exactly like a mango lassi, but in cheesecake form. The mango flavor was fresh and vibrant, while the creamy texture was smooth and indulgent. Every bite was a perfect balance of sweetness and tang, and we wouldn't change a thing about it. It was the ultimate dessert to end the meal. While the food was mostly excellent (especially the Chicken Tikka and Mango Lassi Cheesecake), the service was a bit of a letdown. The greeter rolled their eyes when we asked for a table away from the entrance, despite there being plenty of empty tables at lunchtime. That initial encounter made us feel a little unwelcome, though the staff did check on us afterward, and we still left a tip. The interior decor was beautiful, though--definitely added to the overall experience. Overall, despite the service hiccup, the food (particularly the Chicken Tikka and Mango Lassi Cheesecake) was fantastic, and we would definitely return for the food!

Upon entering there isn't a lot of tables and a small buffet visually. But compared to "The Host" this place has a solid selection of food of around 30 items which is plenty, only issue is that they don't refill everything all that quickly so you may need to go back for aby favorites. But there is plenty to go around, pretty freshly made and hot. Better then a tray of food sitting under a heat lamp all morning! The quality of the food was quite decent and didn't taste overly salty. Everything tasted on point and portions of course is AYCE so no problems here! AYCE is only available weekends, so Fri to Sun only from 11:30 to 3pm but very well worth the trip. As of March 2024 lunch buffet was $18.99 for one adult + tax and tip.
