So this is a mixed bag. The food here is typically quite good as well as a solid bar with craft cocktails. However, the service is at best indifferent and at worst rude. The server today really didn't want to be bothered and was very curt and seemed more like a teenager with an attitude problem instead of a waitress working for tips. The manager needs to get control of this and correct it. read more

The food here is pretty good. The ambiance is relaxing. Great for a casual date night. Service is quick and great attention to detail on everything being consistent and clean. The only down side is I wish the menu had a few more options. Will be back soon read more

What happened?? I loved this place when I lived here a year ago. Tonight both the service and food was horrible! The young lady who took our order at the counter (for outside dining) was so pissy. I bristled at her attitude but wrote it off to just me until she brought out two of our three drinks, slammed them on the table and in the most unfriendly way said "Golden eagle. Memento mori" and walked off. So then my friends all commented on how rude she was and I knew it wasn't just me. Poor little thing in a muscle shirt trying to act all surly. What a joke. The drinks were lame. The vanilla bean was a waste of a most excellent William price liquor. Watery and gross. None of the drinks had a good flavor profile or any depth. Nasty. But the real disappointment was the food. The beer pretzel came with mustard that I kid you not must have had ipa poured into it. Watery and bitter- so gross. The short rib ragu tastes like chef boyardee was at work back there. And it used to be a favorite of ours. I could have really ruined my night and ordered the beet goat cheese terrine that I always loved here but I opted to cut my losses and leave. Absolutely horrible. read more

Y'all, just one word.....phenomenal! I love a good pizza, and this place did not disappoint. My husband and I for the pepperoni pizza and a pickle pizza, both soo good! The crust was perfect, thin and with a little crunch to it. Awesome flavor, great ingredients and a decent size pizza at that! I thought they were supposed to be personal sized pizzas, but I had more for lunch the next day and possibly even dinner. The pickle pizza was unlike anything I've ever had with pickles, ham, fresh dill and a garlic oil type sauce. It was just so good! A must try and a definite repeat customer. When in the area, give this place a try! Can't wait to try more off their menu read more

The tomato soup was amazing! Service was excellent! Didn't love the pizza, but we'll definitely get something else next time!

Save your time and money. Servers aren't attentive and food is laughable. Way too expensive. Interior is kind of confusing, looks nice but also looks boring as hell. I'd rather put my face in a blender read more

I work in the Clear Lake area about once a week, and my friend told me about this little complex where they have a bunch of cool food options. This place was the first we've tried and I was very impressed! Ambience is definitely a 10. They have nice look-good lighting inside, and they have a cute patio outside with some games. Wait staff was attentive and filled our water multiple times. The Shorty as a shareable was delicious! The meat was super tender, and the potatoes were perfectly al dente. We also got The Funghi pizza, which had amazing flavor! I like the type of pizzas that have a thick, doughy outer crust and a thin inner crust. The balsamic balanced out the flavor of the mushrooms nicely, and the Gorgonzola added a nice funky taste to it. I would definitely be back to try more of their pizzas and maybe their pasta too. Everything was delicious. Only downside was parking gets pretty crazy on the whole complex since all the restaurants there are pretty poppin. I guess that's a good sign tho xD read more

Absolutely delicious! Great addition to the Clear Lake Area even though we don't reside there anymore it's refreshing to see new local restaurants with better food and great concepts. I love to see new local restaurants especially in the suburbs where so many chains are anchored and that way people who love wholesome food don't have to make the drive to the city to try great local food with fresh local ingredients. Located on Nasa rd. 1 right next to Nobi public house another great restaurant with family ties. These brothers know what they're doing and know what we want! Almost everything's cooked over wood fire, they make their own pasta (which is delish!) and their bread is from slow dough bread co. If you ask me this is a perfect trilogy We'll def. make the drive to enjoy their yummy food. Keep it up! read more

So good!! Love the charcuterie board and steak bites. The pizza has been delicious also.

Hyde park and Nobi share a patio! Hyde park is my mom's absolute favorite so we stop by often. Highly recommend the fungi pizza. Mushrooms on a sweet and salty pizza is a winning combo! You order inside, grab a number and you can sit on the patio and enjoy a meal. You can also pop into Nobi next door and grab a drink. They bring out your order, but make sure you get water and utensils + clean up after yourself! read more

My daughter and granddaughter went there for supper we couldn't find a table of 4 for us so we set at a table of 6. The waiter asked us to move to a bar table and told him it was hard for my granddaughter to sit on those tall tables so we prefer the regular size. From then on the service was horrible food was not good another waiter ask to fill out water and we told her we just wanted our check. Bad service. read more

When I'm whimsical, which I believe doesn't happen often and there is a soul (Michael) who is willing to indulge me, then actually deliver, I am going to give away those hard earned 5 stars. It's a cute restaurant with a great wine menu and good food menu. I had seen on yelp they had a Cacio e Pepe which could or could not have been taken off the menu. Well when I arrived their chef and team were willing to make it. I have to say... it was delish.. in house made pasta had the perfect bite, the black pepper a good kick and the staff the right amount of sass. Being a lover of vino I enjoyed the glass of wine I was recommended, perfect body and spice to match the dish. Can't wait for dessert. read more

Food. Service. Ambiance. Service (JJ is the BEST!) Shortrib pasta is better than any so-called-Italian fare, honestly, in Houston. Literally haven't had one bad meal or drink at Hyde. We're regulars and proud of it. read more

Service: friendly & polite, took a little longer than expected for the food to come out. Food: beet and goat cheese salad was delish - it's like a beet lasagna, in the best way. Wood fired brussels are a winner too - with bacon bits, whole garlic cloves, yes to all the crispies. Atmosphere: warm, interesting music choice; Johnny Cash to the Beastie Boys, but all good songs. Looks like a nice cocktail place - I wanted to try one so bad! Tip: Wouldn't recommend chicken on the salad, two of my coworkers got it and said it was pretty much just plain, boiled chicken. read more

The service was horrible, which I don't understand because we went at a time when it was not busy and all the servers were chatting or on their phones. Calming, elegant, environment. Classy with a chill vibe. It was a quiet afternoon when we went in to eat but there was a few bar games around so I'm sure it can get noisy. Seemed like a great place to start the night. Corn hole, foosball, and shuffleboard were some of the games around the restaurant. They had some hip art on the walls. Inside was pretty spacious with lots of seating. Including a large table with about dozen chairs and a bar and stools next to it. Most tables had 4-6 seats. Now on to the BEST part.....FOOD..... we had: Shorty which was a small slab of Short ribs with some nice charred fat some still tender and finger potatoes in a sweet and spicy syrupy sauce. The potatoes took the Smokey sweet n spicy well. The ribs were tender and Very delicious. The Fungi pizza was also delicious. It was perfectly cheesy and the crust was just the right thickness. Very crispy and great tasting. It was recommended to add arugula...next time. Lastly we had the Charred octopus. It was fresh and nicely charred. The thin pieces were crunchy and the thicker pieces very meaty..yum. It's also had some finger potatoes but they had an overwhelming amount of garlic and herbs. We ordered a Paloma that wasn't the best but there was defiantly a LARGE selection of beer, wine, and other alcohol. The restrooms where very dimly lit and gender neutral. Connected is a nice boutique for trendy hipsterish goods. The spot is located right on the corner of the lot so they have a good amount of space inside and outside. Wide parking makes it easy to find a spot. The service was good and everyone was very helpful for first timers. I would go back to try some of the other unique items on the menu. read more

I have been here a few times and it is always a great experience. Pizza is great with a generous amount of cheese on the cheese pizza. We had the giant meatball once too - also very good. I had the braised short rib spaghettini lastnight. Very nice take on an old favorite. read more

I've been to this place a few times now and it never disappoints. Food and drinks are fabulous. Hyde park is keeping their 5 star review in my books, I still love the food and its one of my favorites in the area. We got the short rib mac and cheese, which was so creative and delicious. The short rib was phenomenal, I'd definitely order the short rib with potatoes dish next time I come given how delicious it was. The mac and cheese was actually not very heavy, it was well sauced but somehow wasn't heavy. Everyone who tasted it loved it! My wife shared a pizza with pepperoni and jalapeño. The peppers are fresh and spicy, these aren't your average pickled ones, and they were delightful. The pizza here is one of my favorites in the area, anything you get is sure to please. My mother in law ordered the hamburger, which she seemed to enjoy, but the hamburger didn't seem to be one of the better ones in the area, but is a good option if you're eating here and not craving Italian. We got the beet terrine again, which is so delicious! I would love a little more goat cheese relative to beets in the dish, but I love the presentation of the dish, and its very creative. read more

Clear Lake is up and coming in the fancy pants drink scene - finally! After venturing for years into town to places like Pastry War and Anvil, i'm happy to say that Lyft bills will be getting less painful, thanks to additions like Hyde Park. The aesthetic is mid-century modern meets old-school speakeasy. Drinks are consistently $9-10 during non-happy hour times ($5-6 during hh and they also have a hh food menu. m-f 3-6pm). bartenders are itching to make things off the menu, so feel free to tell them what flavors you'll like and they'll whip you up something awesome. they have lunch specials, including a giant 1-topping pizza for $10 and huge warm sandwiches. Everything is cooked in a wood-fired oven which makes it extra delizioso. This is a great place for a team lunch or a girls night out. Bonus - you can also bring your dog and sit on the outside patio. If you sit on the outside patio you can also buy beers/food from Nobi and eat them there because it is a common area between the two restaurants. Great if some of you want beer and some of you want cocktails. Cheers to Hyde Park! read more

I was pleasantly surprised by this place! I expected it to be super crowded, as we came here on a Sunday. However, it was Father's Day so who knows where everyone was at! Had a glass of sparkling rosé and ordered the cheese board for starters. It has 2 different kinds of cheese, bread, pecans and some sort of candied apricot. Really tasty! I was really on the fence about doing a build your own type pizza or doing the Nice to Meat Y'all. I decided if I was going to undo the 650 calories I had burned earlier that day that I may as well go all in! I had them put the borrata cheese on it. For $5 I would not do this again. I am not saying it wasn't good, it was, but it didn't seem worth the extra scratch. Hubby got the Pepperoni Pizza and some mac n cheese. He was happy with both. This is a nice place to come for something different or if you want to consume more calories than you burned that morning. LOL!! read more

First time I went here it was great. Food was good and the cocktails were to die for! However, I took some friends here again and I got pesto pasta and I had to spoon olive oil out of my dish. I would estimate about half a cup of oil was what my noodles were sitting in. I couldn't even eat it and I love olive oil. On top of that my dish was room temperature. We had also ordered some cheesy bread. We had to ask for it three different times before they finally brought it out. Meanwhile, my boyfriend went to go get us some more water and overheard our waitress calling my good friend "a spoiled bitch." She just wanted what she had paid for. I will not be back for a while. Overall, I was not impressed with the lack of professionalism and quality of the dishes. read more

After touring at Nasa we needed some dinner and we did not want to get stuck in the gruesome Houston rush hour traffic. We checked Yelp and saw this place was close by and well rated so we stopped in. Given it was Friday night this place was hopping. We squeezed into the bar and settled in for dinner. The bartender was super friendly and made some good drinks. I tried their Moscow Mule - it was good but a bit too much lime. I liked the candied ginger they served with the drink. We stepped out and tried the shisito peppers with garlic aioli - we liked them a lot. We then shared their meat pizza - I forget what was all on it but I do remember is was delicious. And we got the happy hour pricing too. Definitely recommended. read more

Man, I was REALLY unsure about this place. Nothing about it screamed "kid friendly" to me as we walked in, and I think I missed that somehow when searching for a place to eat in the area with my family after a day at Space Center Houston. Tbh, I expected with a name like "Hyde Park" that it'd be a British pub...but instead it was more like a bar trying to look swanky, with its paintings of Tupac and Biggie on the wall next to a collection of funky wine bottles and high-top tables (great for banging your knees on). That said, our waiter was awesome and I ordered a dish with steak, mushrooms, and potatoes in a creamy sauce - don't recall the name of it - but it was AMAZING. Look, I'm a really good cook and it is RARE that I find a dish I'd want to replicate myself, but this was definitely it. Not only was the portion size huge, but it was cooked in a cast-iron dish which roasted the potatoes to perfection. The steak was tender and had a great flavor. The sauce - so delicious! My kids had one of their pizzas. I took a bite and agreed that it was really good. Hubs had a burger. He wasn't impressed, but it's very hard to impress him (he considers himself a burger expert...he certainly eats enough of them)! Little disappointed in the wine selection. Odd wines I'd never heard of. Ordered a Pinot noir and it wasn't my favorite. Would be better to have a few fairly well-known wines on hand for those who want them. Would definitely revisit if in the area just to get my hands on that steak dish again. Seriously took the leftovers back to our RV and all the way back home with us. Enjoyed it again once home - just as good! read more

My friend and I had dinner and drinks at Hyde Park a few weeks ago. It's apparently under the same ownership as Nobi. Nobi is always popular and parking was already difficult, but now that Hyde Park is next door, parking is a bit more tricky. They have an unpaved lot on a side street and cars were also parked along the street. It's a bit of a walk since it's on the other side of the shopping complex. We weren't quite sure if it was counter service or full service when we walked in. We were immediately greeted by a server and told to sit anywhere. From what we could tell, it's a hybrid of counter and full service. It seemed like indoor was full service and outside was counter. But they have it laid out where the inside could also be counter service. In the middle of the dining area, they have utensils, napkins, and self serve water (which came in handy once they got really busy). We started with drinks. I had The Girlfriend which was really good followed by the Moscow Mule which was just okay. The mule wasn't served in a copper mug and the ginger beer had a bit of a spicy kick to it. I believe my friend had the Challenge Park Swizzle. We realized later that we didn't get to see the seasonal cocktail menu. It would have been nice to have more options. For our starters, we split the baby kale caesar salad which was delicious! The quinoa added a nice crunchy texture and it was good. We also had the roasted cauliflower and OMG it was amazing! I would have been fine with the salad and cauliflower. The portions were generous. We decided to each get a pizza thinking they were more of a personal size, but they're full on 8 slice medium pizzas. Needless to say, we only ate two slices because we had filled up on the apps. I had the Texas pesto and my friend had The Fungi. I don't like mushrooms at all, so I didn't care for hers. She said it was a bit heavy on balsamic. I really enjoyed the Texas pesto, but the cloves of garlic and the huge heap of mozzarella cheese in the middle of the pizza got to be a bit much. The next day when I ate the pizza for leftovers, the garlic cloves were mushy so I had to pick them off. I love garlic, but the mushy texture was a no go. The pizza crust was yummy though! I could just eat the crust with a side of marinara. Our server was nice enough to split the checks so that the apps were split on each check. She was really sweet and did a good job. We really enjoyed our food. I'm looking forward to going back! read more

Nice place to hang out and have drinks. Very chill. They offer pastas, sandwiches, and gourmet, wood-fired cooked pizzas! So many unique options to choose from. We had the NICE TO MEAT Y'ALL pizza- with house tomato sauce, fontina, mozzarella, 12 month prosciutto, sausage, charred pepperoni and WARM BRIE & BACON MARMALADE with fresh bread. This was delish and such a delightful combination. My family devoured that appetizer pretty fast. Last, we had CHARRED OCTOPUS- chimichurri sauce, roasted potatoes and blistered tomato. Never had anything like this and it was quite good. Everything was ion point. The service was great! Will be back. read more

We were looking for a place to get a drink and appetizers on Friday night. Our party of four got here early to take part in some happy hour prices. Got there around 4:30 and it wasn't very crowded. It has an industrial feel. Our one beer drinker was disappointed with the small selection of beers. But the happy hour margaritas were handmade and delish. We ordered a pretzel and cheesy bread which were both really good. Then we ordered a margarita pizza. Plenty of food to split for the four of us. Will definitely be back. read more
