One of the highlights from a recent trip to Niagara Falls with my son was Hyde Park Cafe. Found the great reviews here on Yelp and traveled the mile or two from our hotel by the falls. It did NOT disappoint! The prices were SO reasonable (especially after becoming use to the prices of food around the area of the falls), the quality of the food was outstanding and the service was excellent. Flight cancellations, Looong a$$ train raid, missed baggages etc. etc. when we arrived in Niagara falls for 3 nights stay, we had already fallen back on our plans. Breakfast at Hyde Park was our first good thing. Our party of 6 with kids and elderly grand parents had a solid breakfast. Went back the following day for same greatness and wholesome food. Got a glimpse of the lady in the kitchen on first day and the way she was handling the griddle made me think we're in the right place. Were seated by 2 pretty and nice ladies on both days. One of the ladies with longer locs and big smile with mouth full of metal was super nice. Thank you. The food was very nice, delicious and proper quantity. The dude with the tattoos would come by every 5 mins and check on us and kept our coffee mugs warm and filled, clearing the table. Made us feel comfortable and enjoy our breakfast while we were away from home. Regarding the ambiance, It's a great place. By looking at the crowd, it must be some kind of a local favorite. you would see older couples dropping in and the hostess talking them on first name basis and asking them "your favorite table?" Visiting from out of town. Searched Yelp and decided on this place! Pre checked the menu on Yelp so I already knew what I wanted. Everything was tasty. Service was a tad slow but we did overhear the waitress saying it was short staffed today! The wait wasn't bad so I would definitely come again.Only slight complaint would be the turkey sausage seemed to be Banquet Brown N Serve. But besides that the food was very tasty.The home fries was very good...crispy and good flavor! read more

I've been on the hunt for a decent breakfast place since I moved to the falls. And I finally found it. In the midst of COVID, it's all take out. But the staff are fantastic, always friendly. They've never mucked up an order. The price is really reasonable. And it just tastes delicious. Everything is well seasoned and not too greasy. The breakfast burrito is legit. Not too big, not too small. Full of eggs, meat, cheese, and potatoes. Wrapped up tight and grilled for a good crunch. And again, customer service is on point. Easy to see it's a neighborhood place-they know a lot of the people that come in. And even though they don't know me, they still give me all the good vibes. I dig this place. read more

I have been here quite a few times and it has never been this bad, I had the worst server ever- missing utensils, no straws, never asked how the food was after sitting for over an hour, never brought ketchup or syrup after asking the server for syrup she came by and slammed it down on the table, never brought creamer for my coffee. Ordered Ty's special and fried chicken, eggs & waffle special. My dish was missing the meat, I asked if it was on its way...finished our meal, still didn't come out. Table of 4 beside us was there before us, their food was coming out 1 by 1, and we got our dish before the last person on that table, felt bad for them. Friendly people, very clean, and good Southern food! The fish and grits (get the cheese!) with eggs was so yummy. The fish was coated with cornmeal and seasonings rather than batter and was tender and flaky. I chose haddock, and loved it, but tilapia was also an option. The fried chicken and waffle was so fresh, tender, and crispy. A steak omelette was cooked to perfection, and the cheeseburger with hand cut fries was delicious. And all of these dishes came out of the kitchen at the same time and at a good temperature! We would return for more in a heartbeat. This is a local spot in a tourist town, but the staff were as welcoming and attentive to us as they were to their regulars. Oh, and five lunches with beverages and tip was less than $60. I've came multiple times to this restaurant on days they said they were open if not they need to update there times, i came in just now called and seen if they was open and it's only 12 they close at 2 and they said they aren't taking any more people and it wasn't even full in there.
