I have noticed that I "usually" have to pay attention to the price on the shelf vs. the checkout price. Just today, 4/18/26, I bought Mrs. Fisher's potato chips. Price on the shelf: $3.99. (GREAT DEAL - Which is specifically why I BOUGHT THEM). Price at checkout: $4.69. Customer Service was very nice (Symone). Went to check pricing, came back and said: That's for the smaller bag. My reply: Well, THIS size (1.5lb) is sitting behind the $3.99 tag. She gave me a DOLLAR back immediately. I made $.30. No need to get heated, she was wonderful, so big deal, right? My issue is NOT with her. NO. This is my most recent experience. It's happened before, and I always get a bit more in refund than what's truly the difference. However, THIS HAPPENS A LOT with Schmucks. We rarely shop there due to their being expensive, and this "price hike at checkout". It's a locally owned grocery store with lots of the same products you can find elsewhere. The difference is the freshness and prices of these. About the best place to shop in downtown. Other grocery stores are farther away and not as cheap as this. Also more products here are local. That's a good reason to choose here instead of there. Has quite a lot packed into this kind of small market. It's located on Oak Street at Sixth Street. There's lots of grocery products like cereal that's kind of expensive, but the fresh things are cheaper, so get the fruits and vegetables.

There is no leaving the counter to go to the shop to find a tech because of a lock door, no exit. Then first day there, all registers died, in the middle of my transaction. Second time next day no one was able to accept payment from a gift card but Joann from the customer service front desk. Joann was creative, cashed the gift card so I may pay cash and complete the transaction. To pick up vehicle was another wait at the front counter for a tech, when one arrived he said he had no cash and sent me to front customer service where Alex attempted to help. He was unable to transact an auto service at front took me back to auto center and when he was unable to complete transaction he called Coach Miguel which finally decided to take care of me by opening register drawer (had cash in it) refund the remaining and said he take care of paperwork later so I may leave store (took an hour to check out). Joann, Alex and Miguel were helpful however the system, tech training, organization stinks. I ll bypass Vista auto service and try OC

Then after a great night I needed tums, yes I said tums, ugh is right. This women also guided me to the right Isle. While waiting in self serve lane I heard , " I can help next up" , this is incredible, instead of hiding behind the counter and doing nothing, this YOUNG women want to influence the customer experience. She did! After she finished with me, I heard the beautiful words again , "can I help next up"! A total 10 star experience out of 5!
