Went in a few days after they opened. It was packed. I am leaving my review as middle of the road right now. Some of the produce was overpriced, but the sale items were great. The area needed a grocer like this, but it's not somewhere you can get all your shopping done. Lots of specialty items and higher priced items. We shall see how it goes as time goes by. read more

Fresh Thyme is an inviting grocer, who carries many specialty deli meats, produce, juices, supplements and more. Stick to the outer edges of the store and do NOT shop frozen or pantry items, as they are certainly nothing special AND overpriced. The bakery items are of good quality, but a bit overpriced. Look for sale items! Some meats have been good, but we had an unfortunate salmon and asparagus in a bag experience. We bought three of them and baked them after two days in the fridge. Though pricey, these were not nearly as good as the ones at Fresh Market. I even question the freshness date, edible, but not enjoyable. Won't be purchasing those again! I would come here only once in a while. Some of the fruit is decent, but I have had just as good from Aldi with a much lower price! read more

This is my new shop for groceries. I love that it has the vibe of a Whole Foods without the pricy tags. But the best of it all is that the team members are so very helpful. I have always found them to be willing to go way beyond what I expect and they take me to where things are, or they try to explain different aspects of the selections they have. So nice to see such a team effort that is willing to please the customer. I used to go to Fresh Market all the time - not any more! I don't miss any of their stuffiness! Check out their vitamin section, and the array of fresh baked breads - I always buy their Irish soda bread and the ancient grain bread! So good! Glad to be a patron. I am at least 30 away from this store and have been coming since they opened. I drive for their produce and meat usually once a month. I check their ads on the app and make a list. Today's trip was very disappointing as I went to purchase three different chicken sausages that according to their app they had the associate said they don't carry (they also were on sale). There were other items that I always purchased there that apparently they are no longer carrying. I don't know that it's going to be worth the drive to continue to go especially with the website stating that they have something and getting there and they don't. read more

Walking in we're saying, "wow, really nice". Good feeling and at first glance you'd think they have everything you need but for us, it wasn't that way. I was on the hunt for bagels and found a package of Asiago cheese that looked really good, no expiration date though. So into the cart they went then I looked for either vegetable or jalapeño cream cheese to go with the aforementioned bagels. No such luck, just plain so the bagels went back on the shelf. We found three cheese "take and bake" rolls that looked interesting so we bought those and they were just ok. We found prices on many things high while others, were pretty fair. Bought a "take and bake" pizza that was really lacking mozzarella cheese and sauce....so we had to add more, pizza was just ok. Their marked "sweet onions" are not, not sure what they are but ARE anything but sweet. Bulk items seemed over priced as did Boar's Head deli meats. We are glad a grocery store has moved into that vacant building. Even though I only gave 2 stars and the employees are very helpful, we wonder if they are relying on the new store/grand opening feel that they can elevate prices on some items. We probably will return but Walmart, Aldi, Blue Goose and Mariano's will get our business before Fresh Thyme. read more

Opon, my first visit... I was very impressed. The quality of their produce was quite surprising... some of the best I have seen in a long time. They, have raised the bar... for convenient local groceries. I hope they can maintain this superior level... The product display was awesome! Staff was friendly, well trained and very helpful... leaving one with an old school manor of conducting business... reminiscent of an era... one where businesses took pride in customer service, as well as their product. We tried many items... veggies, fruits, bakery, beef, coconut shrimp, etc... all exceeded my expectations, for quality and freshness. The coconut shrimp, we're among the best we have ever had, period. Great selection, great products... but so much more. One staff member, who was a stand out... his name was Vinny... singlehandedly earned my business and loyalty for the foreseeable future... he was knowledgeable, helpful and just went above and beyond, to insure a grand, first impression. To the entire staff: Great job! Please, keep up the great work, it is noticed, it is appreciated. You, are making a difference. Welcome to the neighborhood. Going into Fresh Thyme makes me not want to go anywhere else. Wonderful produce and healthy choice foods. Specialty brands of items you cannot find else where are likely to be found at FT. Prices, especially sales, are very worthwhile and competitive, especially given the freshness of the foods. They last longer and that's part of the better value. Staff working on the floor are very willing and helpful. read more

"Please don't post if you received a freebie? or if you've received communication from the store with regard to your review?" Seriously??!! I posted several months ago about a somewhat crappy customer service experience and never heard anything back. Today I am writing about something totally different. I stopped in on Saturday to pick up some bone in pork chops which were advertised in their flyer. I was in the area so thought I'd pick some up for dinner. Being one of those people who scrutinizes labels, I thought "Oh, this is great! They were just packaged today.!" So, I bought a nice 2 pack, brought them home and refrigerated them immediately. We decided to have them on Sunday for dinner, pulled them out of the frig, took them out of the packaging and the SMELL hit both of us. That rancid, oh my God, there's NO WAY we're eating this without getting really sick, smell. I have a terrible sense of smell, and the fact that I could smell what my Husband had already smelled, was unbelievable! We actually left them on a cutting board on the counter for an hour or so, thinking that maybe it was just us. NOPE! That nasty, rancid smell permeated throughout the entire house. Needless to say, they went in the garbage and we cooked some pasta for dinner instead. Sorry, Fresh Thyme, I know it's usually 3 strikes and you're out? We're calling it after 2 strikes... read more

I had a homemade pizza today from Fresh Thyme. It entire process took about 15 minutes which was fine considering I was able to do my other shopping while I was waiting. The pizza was very fresh and above most other pizzas we buy. The young lady who prepares the pizzas was extremely friendly and courteous. I have shopped here many times and always been very satisfied with the products I have purchased. Today I purchased a blueberry pie. I was really excited to try it - but it was a huge disappointment. It was not good. It was bad. No real blueberry flavor and I could not find any real blueberries - just a bunch of "jam filler". At least it wasn't real expensive. read more

I will be shopping elsewhere. I bought a Fresh Thyme bottle of water with whole lemon chunks in it. It was refreshing and seemed fine until I discovered a sticker still on the lemon rind in the bottle. The sticker had been sitting in the water I drank, I could have ingested the sticker and because of this oversight, I'm not convinced the fruit was washed before being cut and put in the water. Mistakes happen, I took it back. The cashier gave me a refund for $2.02 on a $1.99 product. I don't know what the sales tax rate is there, but I'm fairly sure it's not 1.5%. I'm not worried about the couple of bucks or cents, but shorting me during refunding a food item with a foreign object in it was insulting. I should have not agreed to just a refund. I will miss their sushi and pre-made salads, they were delicious. read more

I was so pleasantly surprised with this place. The amount of vegan options is what Geneva needed. The prices are very affordable too. I can't say enough great things about this place. I really really appreciate their recognition of the vegan movement. read more
