I went into the store with my boyfriend to browse for adult products, expecting an adults-only environment. From the moment we entered, there were children screaming and playing inside the store. A mother had brought her three kids into the shop, and employees did nothing to intervene. While the lingerie area is technically separate from the adult toy section, there is a clear, unobstructed view straight into the adult toy area. This means minors were directly exposed to explicit sexual products. While the 18+ policy is not posted on the door, Hustler has stated that all customers must be 18 or older regardless of which section they are shopping in. Both the parent and the employees showed no concern for the safety of these children or what they were being exposed to in an adult retail environment. It is deeply concerning that a parent would bring children into a store like this, and even more concerning that employees would allow it to happen. Tacoma is NOT Hollywood. The Hollywood version of this store is probably double the size. They have a nice cafe. They have hot, sexy people working there.
