I've been to another Hurts donut location before and this one tasted the same. I love that they have adorable names and different options, unique donuts and flavors. But they honestly just don't taste good at all. They are way too sugary, some of the flavors just don't go good together, and the dough is dry on some of them. They also lack normal donuts (like plain glazed, chocolate, etc). There are a few though. And even the normal French vanilla one was soooo sugary! As a connoisseur of donuts, this place remains one of my least favorite donut places unfortunately. read more

My family really enjoyed our visit to Hurts Donut. HUGE selection and HUGE line of people waiting for donuts. Choosing just one or two donuts per person can seem overwhelming because of the large selection. We managed to make our selections and what we chose didn't disappoint. To me, these donuts aren't yours traditional breakfast type donuts. They are more "dressed" up and more of a dessert item. They are very rich and sweet, so have your coffee, milk, or water ready. There is plenty of space and seats if you want to eat inside. Hurts was a big hit for our family so I think it will probably become a tradition to get them every time we visit Branson. read more

Whenever I see a Hurts Donut I just have to stop and get at least one. Don't make the mistake of thinking you're going to down a half dozen yourself cause these bad boys are a meal in themselves. They're cake donuts (which I usually hate) loaded with crazy cool toppings. Some have candy bar toppings, gummy bears, marshmallows, Nutella...you get the point. I cannot imagine the amount of calories in these but they're worth every one of them. I try to get a new flavor when I drop in which isn't too often because Hurts is far from me (thank goodness!!). Every flavor I have tried so far has been excellent. They serve coffee, juice and milk inside along with t-shirts and little ambulance cars that resemble the large one outside their establishment. I'm writing this review for Moms and Dads, don't expect your kid to eat their entire donut. You have to explain to your child, these are not normal donuts, they are fancy donuts. We ordered half a dozen: Cotton Candy, Fred Flintstone, White Nerd, Jesus, Homer, and Blueberry Streusel. I ordered a s'mores latte and we paid $28. The place was packed, but the lines moved quickly, and my kids loved sitting on the indoor swings. They took one bite out of each donut and said they were way too sweet, and most of the donuts were cake donuts and they did not like the consistency. My husband liked the Jesus donut and ate the entire thing. My mother ordered a caramel macchiato but had to throw it away because the coffee tasted bitter and old. We usually enjoy the glazed donut from Hurts in Branson, MO! The store were apparently sold out of the standard always popular glazed donuts?? It was believable since it was 1pm or so, however when we inquired of what time we could get a fresh glazed donut --the response was staggering and went something like this: "we are open 24/7 so we do not know when the donuts are made. Sometimes they are made on the afternoon shift and sold out by morning! Sometimes they are made other times but when we make them it dies not take long till they are sold out! We see all these expensive cake donuts that "God only knows" when they were made! So we are thinking, Why not make less if those and a few more glazed??
