I googled best donuts in Branson, and this location came up with the most reviews. Of course, when you walk in, you smell the sweet treats! The decor was very impressive with lots of colors, fun and happiness. There was no line, no wait. The glass counter made you want every item! We limited our options with hugh Cinnamon Roll, Lemon Filled, Banana Pudding, Regular Glaze, Maple Bacon, and Old Fashioned. I never go to a donut place and not get an original regular glaze. It was moist, fluffy, and soft. Now I'm assuming the maple bacon was excellent because it was devoured quickly by my daughter. My husband wasn't impressed with the banana pudding or Lemon Filled. We weren't able to eat the Cinnamon Roll due to sorta hard. The Cinnamon Roll required heating, so we took it back to the hotel. It by far was delicious, not too sweet, moist, and just the right amount of cinnamon. You definitely want to share it because of its gigantic size. We did notice customers with their Donuts on an oven plate, so they may warm your order but not sure. I would rated 5 stars if we could've eaten the Cinnamon Roll in the store. read more

These were delicious donuts, and I love the sarcastic name. We got an assortment at 8pm. They were good cold but great when warmed up a few seconds(13, to be exact). Going back for the cinnamon roll as big as a cake, and try the apple fritter as big as your head. Favs were: Old fashioned buttermilk donuts were done right. Also loved the banana pudding one too.Wife loved the Jesus(churro) donut. Btw, don't go to a donut shop late and judge them on a cappuccino lol! read more

Hurts donuts are not as good as they used to be. The Apple fritter was a big serving of sweet, iced dough. I did not have one apple in the fritter. The donuts (old fashion glazed) leave a greasy film in the roof of your mouth and overall not worth the cost. Maybe work on the taste over the appearance. The service was great and the sever friendly though. read more

Specialty donut shop: Branson MO When we purchased our show tickets at the Branson 2 for 1 Tickets not only did we save some $$ but we also scored coupons for free donuts at Hurts. After the show we took our time and made our way to this donut shop. Located next door to the American Bandstand Theater. We were the only customers at the time. We presented our coupons for a free classic donut along with our show tickets and claimed our free donuts. The selection reminded me a little of Voodoo Donuts in Portland. The donuts were very well crafted and some had fun names. The employee said we could choose from the specialty donuts so we chose the following: Dirt, Oreo Cheesecake (the cream cheese icing really made it), and Jesus. My Jesus donut was heavenly! It is a white cake donut topped with vanilla frosting, cinnamon & sugar then drizzled with caramel. Open 25 hours a day, 8 days a week (get it? they never close) and was featured in Food network magazine. Looks like "Elvis" from the Legends in Concert loves their donuts too... he came in right behind us and we even snapped a photo with him (w/o the Elvis get-up). No wonder, when Elvis left the building he came right in this donut shop. Review #1936 read more

Fantastic selection of fresh made donuts. The place is open 24 hours and they're making donuts continuously. Staff is friendly. It's counter service but they have a seating area. They also have a donut emergency response vehicle. This was an in October. read more

It's all in the name everybody wants a Hurts donut. Way overpriced. They look great. They taste old and dry. They're not made correctly. The cinnamon rolls look great. They're hard as a rock. Even the next day putting it in the microwave was terrible. Never coming back. Don't waste your money. read more

We decided to stop in on our way back to Texas and I'm so glad we did, we walked in and I thought oh it's the Branson version of Voodoo Donuts...wrong....it's 10x better. The donuts were fresh and so, so good. I will tell you if you don't get the nitro coffee, you are missing out! I would give Hurts donuts 10 stars if I could. read more

When you walk in the shop it just downright looks Fun like childhood. Your hit with the delicious sweet Aroma and immediately greeted. Since residing in the area I've never had short of fantastic service and the creativity that is put into the donuts are just magical. So if you want basic donuts this is not your place although the plain glazed is Outstanding. They remind me of Krispy Kreme glazed X3! I never realized that they also make shakes from Any donut you choose. I chose the Banana cream filled and I Absolutely fell in love. It actually reminded me of my childhood for some reason and the service is always delivered with a smile. You'll be back! read more

I went back and forth between a 4-5 star. The ambiance was great. My Nutella donut was good but I couldn't taste Nutella throughout. Just the glob on top. My husband had the blueberry and liked the donut but the crumble on top was not good. I brought a s'mores back with me but haven't tasted it yet. I would go back. read more

A must while in Branson. Not only were the donuts delicious, their coffee was phenomenal as well. We love to find good donut and coffee shops on vacation and this one definitely met expectations. read more

I truly enjoyed our trip to Branson. My biggest struggle was interpreting reviews 5 stars should mean universally great and 1 star universal avoidance with 3 stars meaning - take your chances. This place is awesome. The donuts are great, excellent texture, moisture, density and flavor. We stopped by at about 10pm on a Monday Night. It was quiet and empty. The owner was working and was extremely personable. We almost passed on this gem because someone downgraded the place on the low par level of a glazed donut. Ridiculous. If you are travelling and want a truly exceptional donut - Hurts is your answer. The fancy fills and flavors are bells and whistles, the marvel for me is the consistent texture across all their choices. The yeast and the cake donuts are equally great with a slight preference by me to the cake donuts. The pumpkin spice was fun but the blueberry felt just like a just out of the oven fluffy homemade muffin. I had my own coffee so I can only say that along with a great cup of dark roast, it is heavenly. The glazed was just as good. Tender, buttery, that for me lacked just a smidge of salt to make the flavor shine. I definitely will return. I wasted calories at Grandma Ruth's tasteless rolls with powder sugar frosting - waste of time, money and calorie intake. Go to Hurts twice and save yourself the regret and aggravation. read more

What a fun spot this is! We stopped in because we got coupons for free donuts after purchasing tickets to the Legends show. They have a wide variety of fun flavors- definitely not your basic donut shop. I had the Banana Pudding donut, which was delicious and big. I couldn't finish it but enjoyed every bite I did eat. The line was super long but moved at a fair pace. They have a wide selection of coffee from drip to lattes, and then some milkshake goodness going on, too. Fun spot with friendly staff. Definitely give them a shot if you are in the mood for sugary goodness. read more

This place was raved about and over hyped so I had to stop here to try. Unfortunately everything tasted old and stale. Not a single fresh donut. Very disappointed. I had the pink lemonade donut which sounds great, I love pink lemonade but it was not good at all lol. I had two bites and pretty sure it was like a $4 donut. Not good. My boyfriend had the fruity pebbles donut shake (pictured) which is a whole donut blended into a shake plus a whole donut on top. The shake itself was actually good even though I thought it would be gross. However the donut on top has stale cereal which made it taste old. Also tried was the maple bacon donut which was ok. But the best donut tried of the day. Definitely not the best donuts. Over priced and stale. read more

Good donuts. Definitely rich and big. Bring an appetite. A lot of unique donuts. Friendly atmosphere

I wish I had pictures of all the Hurts donuts my fiancé and I ate on vacation while in the area but we ate them before even having the thought! This is a fun and unique donut shop where donuts are treated like fancy cupcakes and priced like them, too! For $2.50 each you can enjoy flavors like Little Timmy (frosted animal cracker themed), the Homer (pink icing with rainbow sprinkles- just like Homer Simpson enjoys!), Blueberry Cobbler (moist blueberry donut with a thick glaze topped with slightly salty crumble), Peanut Butter Oreo (peanut butter flavored donut, sweet white cream icing topped with crushed Oreos), Vanilla Birthday Cake (vanilla cake donut without much sweetness topped with a sweet buttercream frosting and sprinkles) just to name a few! They seem to sell out of their giant cinnamon buns and apple fritters but whenever we arrived (early in the day or late at night) they always had their typical selection available. The price for these is high at $2.50 each but they are not mass produced donuts with a light glaze. These are gourmet donuts with lots of fun flavors and toppings. The price is reasonable when you take this into consideration! Pro tip: if you're looking for something extra unique they will turn any donut into a milkshake! read more

Great and friendly service with amazing donuts. It's definitely a take-out kind of place, but there's cool art on all the walls.

OPEN 24/7!?! AMAZING! Stopped here while on vacation and I'm happy we did! While the donuts were slightly pricey, they were absolutely delicious. The Homer (their take on a classic strawberry iced donut) was amazing. I also got a coffee while there that I unfortunately wasn't a huge fan of. 5 stars for all the creative flavors. 5 for how quickly they try to move the long long lines. Everyone in the car got something different and everyone was satisfied. If you've ever tried Voodoo donuts, this place is 100x's better! I'm not really sure how they do it, but I got one of their Fruity Pebble donuts and the cereal was still CRUNCHY and stayed crunchy even the next day! I was thoroughly surprised. Voodoo donuts is popular on the West Coast but I think they are way over-rated. The cookies and cereal on their donuts are always stale. Wish there was one of these in CA! read more

They have your standard long John's and themed donuts for kids. Make sure to order ahead or they may be out of long John's (like they were for us). There were no long John's left at 8:30am on a Monday for reference, so order ahead of time. read more

This is the second Hurts I've been to, the first being in Lincoln, NE, and this one was very roomy compared to the other. We showed up around 9am and the place was packed with a large selection to choose from at that late in the day on a Sunday. They even have a swing bench / bar in the back for the young ones, which I found to be a great touch! My oldest son wanted a cinnamon roll and when I saw that it was $7 I didn't know what to expect, but assumed it would be big. It was much larger than I expected! Lol So we split it, and it was a good roll. Warm and soft on the inside with a sweet glaze. My youngest son wanted the strawberry topped donut, and he seemed pleased, which isn't easy to accomplish! They had a gigantic Apple fritter as well...I wanted it, but way too big since I also had to tackle half of the cinnamon roll and drive six hours. I tend to take my coffee very seriously, and I usually wouldn't order from a donut shop, but we had a long drive back to Nebraska coming up and it was a necessity. It was not good. I attempted to drown it in creamer to make it tolerable, but to no avail. Long story short: Eat donuts, don't drink coffee. read more

Gluten free donuts are ONLY made on Saturday and Sunday. Ugh. This was incredibly disappointing.

This place is an absolute gem, if you love donuts on absolute steroids, this is the place for you. Don't come here if you want a straight dozen of glazed- go to Krispy Kreme for that.
