Have been coming to the shop since they were on Shepherd Of The Hills and the rolls were awesome. Under the new owners, the rolls are NOT the same. They are smaller, flattened and very dry. They only offer caramel rolls and a savory roll in addition to their classic cinnamon roll. The coffee was fine but there is only one kind so if coffee is what you are seeking this may not be your first choice. You order at the counter and then they bring the freshly iced rolls to your table. They were the perfect texture (not under baked), taste delicious and are huge! We had to get a to-go box because we could not finish them. I am not sure the name of the place is Grandma Ruth's anymore. I saw the negative reviews from several years ago (after Ruth apparently sold) but it seems like they are under another owner now that knows what they are doing. We came during Christmas time. Today's special flavor was orange and cranberry. It did not disappoint!! The orange zest along with fresh cranberries smelled so good and tasted like Christmas. First off, it is definitely a family run business and I truly loved everything about it. We were checked out at the register and then that same person went back and continued making the cinnamon rolls. So freaking cool to see. They truly make these with love and passion and you can taste the difference! The rolls were so freaking soft and gooey. I personally loved that it wasn't drowning and frosting because man, these do not need to be masked by frosting. They do have specialty rolls and honestly, you cannot lose. The middle of the rolls were tender, the outer rings a bit tough and overall the texture was fine. The glaring issue was an overly sweet roll with very little flavor and powder sugar icing. We walked in around 8 AM and there were several customers buying dozens of cinnamon rolls. That's a great sign. Cute, quiet, very family oriented shop. I so love this place. It has a very nice atmosphere. It is family ran which I love. The coolest part was that we got to actually see Grandma Ruth. She was there icing the buns with a beautiful smile. Now on to the buns. We tried the regular, caramel and orange buns. They were perfect. I'm not a fan of cinnamon and these buns are not overloaded with it. It has just the right amount. The flavored ones are not filled with jelly fruit like most buns are. It is more like the flavor is cooked into the bun.
