After reading reviews and seeing pics we knew we had to come and try an old fashioned apple fritter. It was huge. It was fried sweet dough, so it was good, but it wasn't a great apple fritter. My family decided to stop to get donuts, each one of us picking one we thought we would enjoy. The gentleman working the counter was nice and helpful. I ordered a maple bacon long John, it unfortunately had a hair in it. I took it to the counter and told a girl working the counter. She didn't offer an apology, she just disappeared with the donut. Wants a hurts donut? Yes please! We were so excited to try Hurts, and were pretty satisfied that we did. We got there around 9:00 and the line was all the way to the door. It took about 20 min to get to the front. They have so many different interesting flavors. We tried a few different ones. I'm really more of a classic donut guy so I got an old fashioned that did not disappoint, very well done. I also got a Reese's peanut butter cup donut that was more of a let down. It was a cake donut (my preferred style) but it was fairly dry and had no crispness on the outside, it really just tasted like dense cake. My wife got the Jesus and loved it and my MIL said the strawberry cheesecake was the best donut she's ever had. O.M.G.!!!! This is a MUST in Branson. My family stopped on our way out of town and got a dozen mixed, along with the cinnamon roll, the bacon longjohn and an apple fritter. Ate a little in the restaurant and brought the remainder (there was a lot of that) back to Texas. I am pretty plain jane when it comes to my sweets so my absolute favorites were the plain glazed and the old fashioned (warmed!). OMG. The cinnamon roll and apple fritter were amazing but need some warmth. In the restaurant, they do not heat anything, so take it home! Warming some of them makes all the difference! It took a whole week for the kids to finish eating all the special donuts we brought home and they said they were all good (too much for me). i think there is always a line but get in it! It moves fairly quickly and you can watch them preparing donuts while you're in line. The staff may even talk and visit with you while they work! read more

My wife and I popped in here around 3:30 AM heading out from Branson. It was kind of funny because we pulled up in a giant RV and they thought it was a busload of people,and only two people walk in. We got a chuckle out of it, even at 3:30 AM. The two female employees were super nice. We got there just in time, fresh cinnamon rolls had just come out of the oven, and yes we did get a couple of them. We also got the apple fritters which were huge and had a ton of apple in them, and some blueberry streusel donuts...they were so good. Fricken delicious! I had the Oreo Cheesecake at a party and enjoyed it so much I had to come here and buy another one/see what else they offer. Decor is fun and relaxing. Really admire they're open 24/7. The music could be a little better, more quiet, but that's my opinion. Would love to bring my computer back and get some work done, hang out for a while. Very cool. Our first visit to Hurts and it was awesome!!! The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our donuts were great and the restaurant was clean. What made our visit extra special was that we came on a day when Santa stopped by! This was a registration only event, but they were kind enough to squeeze us in. Santa was great, he read The Night Before Christmas and took photos with each kid, asked them what they wanted, and shared a little Christmas magic (like magic tricks). We got to decorate a donut and made a reindeer ornament. My 4 year old loved it and my 14 month old was entertained by the swinging seats in the back. It was a great experience for all of us!
