What a fantastic addition to Branson! We first discovered Hurts Donuts in downtown Springfield, MO and wished that we had this place in Texas. And I guess someone heard our hearts desire and granted us this wish! They opened up a store in Frisco, TX and then we found them in Branson! Absolutely loved these donuts. Got them twice during our 5 day trip to Branson. Friendly staff. The first time we went there was no line and the staff spent time explaining all their donuts. It was cool to go. You will definitely have to wait in line. The staff is helpful, but you feel rushed because of the line. They were out of the maple bacon donuts. This place is great! While in Branson, you should stop by and give it a try! The shop was super clean and we got there around 10, so it wasn't too busy inside. The selection of donuts was crazy, and they all looked great! The only criticism I have is that they only make gluten free donuts on Saturdays and Sundays, so if anyone has Celiac disease or a gluten intolerance, it might be good to go on those days. However, everything else was superb! I'd said that the highlight of the shop were the workers! They greeted us right when we entered, and made sure we had everything we needed! The 25/8 blend of coffee is perfect for those who like stronger and more robust coffees, so definitely try it! Overall, this place is great! read more

The donuts were excellent, the coffee was very good......but there was only the yucky powdered creamer (can you imagine?) for coffee and we were not even given a knife to cut our donuts to share. Not impressed with the customer service. read more

I'm sorry to say I wasn't impressed. This franchise is similar to one we have in St. Louis called Strange Donuts which has the same problem. These are fun and interesting combinations but they MUST be supported by a quality base donut, which they do not have. Glazed, cake or chocolate they were all bland and flavorless. The donuts are fair. They decorate them playfully. The prices are extremely high. We spent $32 on less than two dozen donuts. The Apple fritter is huge but lacking taste. We have a daylight donuts near us. Much better. The funny thing was I asked the young lady if their coffee was as good as DD. She said DD is less than a mile away. read more

Diabetes coma here. Not even a plain or sugar doughnut in the entire place. Bought a chocolate covered cream doughnut, scraped off the chocolate and tried the cream. Average at best but the dough was light and fluffy. Also we bought two coffees there and threw them out after the first sip. Worst coffee we have had in over 120 years if living. So much fun! I brought my Girl Scout troop in for a late night snack and party and it was a hit! The owner not only provided the girls with a opportunity to make a tasty treat to eat while we were there and one to take for the road. She even snuck in some educational info! Ok, we wait in line, get to the cashier (one of two, neither of whom had operable smiling muscles!), who lets us know that they have no glazed doughnuts available. That stinks, but just don't stand there blankly staring at us! Maybe make some suggestions to us?! Their selection of garish, fancy products is overwhelming, so as we are frantically trying to find something, the line behind us is steadily getting longer. I decided to get a sausage kolache from the menu. But guess what? That's right: "we are out of those, too." Absolutely Wonderful! I am so glad Hurts Donut has opened a store in Branson. Their selection is wide and I am truly a fan of what many refer to as a "Cake Donut". Each flavor is unique, though I've only tasted a fourth of their selection. The service is awesome and you can tell they really strive to hire energetic and personable employees. The facility is also cool, though many don't stay to eat but rather take their dozens home or to work. The price is rather high for the average donut, but in exchange you really do get a masterpiece of a donut. We generally love this place but this trip was really disappointing. The place was dirty, donuts were hard and dry with too thick icing, ladies at counter were arguing about who should be working the counter. I literally had to wait for them to stop bickering between telling her the type of donuts I wanted for my dirty done +.
