The saying holds true- best wifi in Sequim! All the coffees are fantastic -especially the Hurricane which I get iced- as well as the ice creams which come in a variety of unique and delicious flavors. Among our favorite drinks are the hurricane(similar, but far superior to the iced caramel macchiato from Starbucks), and the coconut golden chai latte. The honey rose matcha drink is also very good as well. The prices are reasonable, drinks averaging 3-5 dollars based on the size and type. The atmosphere is great with lots of various seating and the workers are friendly. If you are looking for a drink and some good wifi, this is the place to go! read more

We stopped at this place as we were in search of some ice cream that came from a vat rather than a spout! They had 16 flavors, including kid favorites like cotton candy and bubble gum - why the kids love these I'll never know but c'est la vié. The other flavors were less adventurous but we're all very good. My best half and I both settled on chocolate peanut butter, hers in a cone and mine in affogato form! The combo of espresso with chocolate and PB was pretty magical! A single scoop was $2.7, a double $4.25 and an affogato was $5. Not cheap but not ridiculous. The actual digs of this place were really nice! It's a cute little coffee shop with plenty of bar height seating as well as tables by the windows. Around the back are a number of comfy chairs and couches - it was a delight and a great spot for a bigger group to sit. Lots of coffee options including some very creative specials. If I was having coffee, that's where my order would have originated! An amazing local spot that you should stop by if you live here or are just driving through. I recently visited Sequim for 4 days and went to Hurricane Coffee 3 times. Each time I got the iced honey lavender latte, which is delightful. Do yourself a favor and get a chocolate walnut cookie! The most scrumptious cookie I have ever had. It is practically a brownie in cookie form. Besides seating in the front area there is an additional seating space in the back with a couch and comfortable chairs as well as a nice outdoor area. The place seemed clean and organized. Drink turn around time was quick even when busy. The friendliness of the baristas depended on the day. As for the complaints of people who ordered hot water and were charged for it....why are you ordering a hot water? read more

Yum! This was the perfect way to start my day. I work in a coffeehouse so I'm used to being picky about coffee but this espresso was delicious. I got a 12 oz triple honey lavender latte (because, well, lavender in sequim. It's what you do). The coffee was not bitter at all, very smooth. The lavender was the perfect amount- not too sweet but definitely could taste it. Sometimes I find lavender gets a tad bitter too so the honey definitely helped mellow it out. I also got the bacon breakfast sandwich which was made right in front of me. They're following strict covid protocols. Everyone was wearing masks, required to wear masks, and there were lines taped on the ground to keep space. Next time I'm in sequim I'm definitely coming back! read more

Maybe it was just a bad day for the staff but bad first impression. Walked in with two customers waiting for orders and three employees 1:00 on 8/3/22. There are two terminals, one by the ice cream and one by the coffee so I waited in line behind the gal waiting at the ice cream counter. There is no "Order Here" sign so I assumed if you want ice cream you wait at the terminal by the ice cream counter. I waited, and waited, not one of the three staff said "Hi" or "Be with you in a minute" although they were clearly aware I was there and ready to order. Then another customer walks in and up to the coffee terminal where they were served immediately. One of the staff then came over to the ice cream counter, started scooping their ice cream. Again, no acknowledgement by any of the three staff who had seen me standing there waiting. There were three employees there and all three saw me but nothing. Finally, as I was standing at the register by the ice cream counter I asked... "Do we order ice cream here or over at the coffee register?" and at this point she just points over to the coffee register. I was pleasant the whole time but the employees didn't really seem too engaged with their jobs or attentive to their customers. Average ice cream - nothing special but the lack of customer service will steer me elsewhere in the future. read more

It is a solid coffee shop. There was a hint of bitterness in my latte which means the beans could have been extracted a little bit better. In addition, it was a little watery in the second layer of my latte. However, there was a consistent foamy texture in the rest of the drink below that layer. Overall, the drink was mostly smooth and rich. On the other hand, my friend's latte was average. The latte art was messed up, which is a good indicator the drink was too. I took a sip. It tasted more like milk than coffee. I also ordered an almond croissant for breakfast. It was solid but nothing spectacular. I trust Hurricane for amazing coffee!!! They had me at "hello" and "yes, you can create your own ice-cream espresso milkshake from any of our numerous coffee-compatible iceceam flavors!" But I needed something light before hiking. I saw the mint-julep cold-brew listed and had to try it. Excellent Ice Cream, I love the bubble gum flavour! It stains your tongue blue, and has real bubble gum chunks in it! It is surprisingly creamy and decadent for such a playful flavour. How pleasant! The coffee was good and my girlfriend got an extra shot of espresso in her drink for free. Let me tell you... Hurricane Coffee Co has more than just coffee they have ice cream!! I ended up getting a scoop of the Huckleberry Ice Cream!! It was my first time having huckleberry ice cream and it did not disappoint! Little did I know but this ice cream ended up being my best ice cream experience on my trip in Washington (I went to three other ice cream places, including Molly Moon's which I thought was just ok after having this Huckleberry Ice Cream). This place is doing everything right. We came here for a caffeine fix and couldn't help ourselves but take advantage of the chess set they have stored away. Plus, those comfy couches, I mentioned earlier, were calling my name. I seriously could've napped for days on those. I wasn't quite sure what to expect when ordering my cup of joe from this place but you guys it was so good that I bought a pound of the stuff. They had a fresh brew of the Papua New Guinea; the description is as follows: Velvet texture, dried fruit, lingering finish, medium roast, with no acidic trace. It was so incredibly delicious and clean. I know that seems odd to describe a coffee as "clean" but you just have to try it - take my word! I'm drinking the stuff as I'm writing this review. They have their beans roasted in Seattle and delivered on a regular basis. I purchased the last of the Papua New Guinea - just shows how popular it is and it's a new one for them too. They have ample amount of seating, clean bathrooms and a really comfortable vibe. I could sit here for hours! I was visiting from California and wanted something other than Starbucks (that I can get that anywhere!) I found this awesome place! The gals inside were super nice and friendly. Being in Lavender Capital, I wanted something with lavender in it, and iced. The barista took my request and made an amazing Iced Lavender White Mocha Americano and it was spectacular. I savored every sip! I also purchased a lemon blueberry scone which was also delicious, and a bottle of lavender syrup to enjoy more drinks at home! They gave me suggestions of nearby lavender fields (which were all closed that early in the morning, but I just wanted to see and smell the plants!). I kept on driving down the road, ended up finding something completely different, but that's okay, because I ended up seeing a Bald Eagle!!! It was NOT disappointed with my journey. And, the lavender, is everywhere. I like their "pay it forward" section. Some of the cards there actually brought tears to my eyes of how thoughtful they were. It was only ok. The coffee shop itself has a great atmosphere. Lots of places to sit and relax, including comfy chairs. The choice of breakfast items was pretty disappointing. Worse than going to Starbucks. I was also not a fan of the coffee. Again, very reminiscent of Starbucks. Those are the main reasons why I gave it only two stars. If I lived in the area, I doubt I would ever be going back. Be mindful that there may be homeless hanging out here. I don't dock any start for that and in fact, I rather applaud the place for letting them hang out and be comfortable. However, he did make my kids quite uncomfortable with his strange behavior and tied up the bathroom for nearly half an hour while we were eating breakfast. Both my husband and son urgently needed it, which is why we noticed this. I kept telling them to use the women's restroom, but they were too self-conscious to do so (I guess I wouldn't have used the men's restroom if in the same situation). read more
