He arrived within an hour. He and his guy worked hard on a 90 degree day to get our basement cleared (had to be cleared by nightfall). They didn't have special equipment, just hardworking manpower. I pitched in and we got the job done in 90 mins. They had a great truck that we practically filled, and he was knowledgeable about disposing of paint, tires, etc. It wasn't cheap, but it was priceless.

It may be time to look for a new trash pick up service which is unfortunate and totally avoidable.

I thought that by donating these items perhaps an elderly person or Veteran would have found these items useful. I was informed that the recliner and sofa were unacceptable but the bureaus were allowed. The catch was that I needed to pay to have the two bureaus picked up for 100.00, wear a Mask and stay away from the men that were loading the two bureaus. Lots of demands for free items. I do not deal with tyranny especially when I am trying to do a good deed, to help another in need.
