When I called Rumsey-Lang and told them that I'd been out of water for a month (due to various…read moremisadventures with the weather), I could feel the urgency they had. Within a couple hours, I had them up to work on my well pump. They had to come twice because the well pumps they had brought (and the one that I had installed before) were too large for my setup, but I appreciate that they didn't sell me on the more expensive one. In the end, they got it done as quickly as humanly possible and got water back into my home. The only gripe I have is that they had to come back a third time and spent a lot of time (= money) trying to find a leak, which I ended up figuring out (it was an irrigation system that had fell over in the storm). It would have been nice to have the leak tested for and diagnosed the first time they came over, but really, it's my fault for not figuring it out myself. Overall five stars for service, attitude and promptness.

I couldn't get Briski and wish I would have tried Rumsey-Lang (they have a great rig). I had a water dowsing guy come in and located 20-25 gpm about 425 ft. I called Waters and they showed up with a very old rig and 300' of pipe. I asked about that and he said he never drilled more than 300'. I should have fired him right then and there. We had issues drilling in gravel and the well collapsed at 130'. Again I should have stopped there. I got 5 gpm and 5 pH water (volcanic area). But I continued with this guy to install my pump, solar controller, pressure tank, and water tank. He had me give him 3 upfront payments towards parts on 3 occasions. I asked for an invoice and he gave me one and it covered all the money I gave him, every penny. Any thing that wasn't accounted for he just put that under labor. We are talking $10650 for parts (not the drilling). I inquired about this and the law says the contractor can't charge anymore than 10% or $1500 upfront for parts. Well I wouldn't be writing this if everything worked, but it didn't. I finally fired him after the pump quite working when trying to fill the 2500 gallon tank. It burnt up because it wasn't hooked up to the controller and didn't shut off when the shallow well went dry. Then I waited for 3 weeks for another pump. I picked up the pump from him and hired someone else. Oh yeah, when he set my booster pump in my well house he left it on the 1/4" shipping crate bottom and said it would be ok. Really? My new guy disconnected the piping and took it off the wood and set anchors in the concrete and attached the pump base to it. Waters did 1/10th of the work on this job, I trenched, ran conduit, pulled wire, and mounted the solar panel. The other review was correct, there is a reason why he was available! Stay away from this guy!!!

You have to catch rainwater or find some just to flush your toilet. Until you're without it you really don't truly appreciate it! When I called Ben & Dennis at Top Hat Well Drilling my pump would not work on its own and I had to keep trying to figure it out myself, right away they said they would come test everything. I thought for sure it was a certain pressure gauge and switch, and I asked them to change all that out ....well, they worked very hard that day and changed everything. I still had an issue so they came right back the next day. I thought I'd have to go the entire weekend without water, but they tested it and found out the control box had issues and Ben had the parts they needed. Ben did a superb job spending a lot of time and explaining things. I also had him test the water to make sure there was no bacteria or worse for an extra fee at a lab. So thrilled that everything is working fine again! Water is life and boy do I appreciate my awesome well now that everything is running smooth! If you ever run out of water, low pressure, nothings working, or even just to have it checked out, possibly a deeper well than you have, make sure to call Terrier Pump and Water Quality!
