Solid late night pizza ! Ordered on the app at about 10:30 pm and it was ready in 10 minutes. Loved the stuffed crust and the pizza was pretty good for a franchise. The aroma was so enticing we noted the logo on the box, and the time had come to see if it tasted as good as it smelled. It arrived very quickly and was as good as advertised. Tons of quality toppings, nice crust (we got Buttery Cheese on the Howie's Special). Greasy like you know you're gonna have heartburn later but it tastes so good you don't care. It was the perfect final meal for our last night at the beach, and definitely tops the typical pizza chains. Not a fan! Vacationed in Myrtle Beach and arrived pretty late in the evening. This place was open and had a pretty fast delivery time. However, the pizza and wings were not good at all. I am, truly, a fan. I've looked at Hungry Howie's a bunch of different times when in Myrtle Beach and have always gotten something else. I finally took the plunge, and now HH's will be part of my regular food choices. I ordered a chicken asiago salad and a small Hawaiian pizza. The greens on my salad were crisp and fresh, and the chicken was nicely seasoned. I ordered the asiago cheese flavored crust, and oh my goodness was it ever good. If you think flavored crusts sound wrong, do yourself a favor and try it. They are yummy. I was skeptical of HH's, but I've discovered a place I really like. I've heard about hungry Howies flavored crust for years, but never tried it. We couldn't get a late night pizza and called and asked if they were open for dine in. They were. We had fished and closed for the pier and wanted a late night pizza. The pizza left things to be desired. A cheap little Caesars type deal. Not much flavor, including the crust, doughy and tasteless sauce. Topping were standard cheap stuff. However, the kids working in there were so kind and sweet and ever so helpful. Apologetic, they didn't have a cold Pepsi. Put one in freezer, then the kid brings it and says it's not as cold as he'd like and apologized again. Dining room was clean. Asked if they could get anything else for us. Brought plates. A plus on the staff. The pizza wasn't very good, but was the ingredients, not the staff. Prices were high as well. $37 for 2 pizzas and 4 throwaway sodas for basically bad little Caesars. Again, greatest teen/early 20 staffing and an hour before closing. read more

It's hard to know what pizza joints to trust while on vacation. You can always go with a national chain, but we like to try new places so we asked some locals which restaurant to try. This one was amazing! We got the Howie Maui (Hawaiian) and their deep dish special. Both were fabulous. We also got a plain cheese and a pepperoni for the kids. Those were great too. I would suggest traditional or pan crust unless you are a big fan of thin crust. Ordered our pizza online which stated would be ready in 20 minutes. Called an hour and a half later to be told it was on its way. Had to call back another hour later and we were told the delivery driver couldn't find our house. We were given the delivery drivers number then to give directions and troubleshoot this issue for them. We were about 5 minutes way on 34th street. Streets are in numerical order). After another 30 minutes we requested a refund and the driver said, "good luck, you won't get a refund", and hung up on us. We then had to call the store to get our money back. Never received the pizza. Seems to be pretty common from reading other reviews. I wouldn't recommend anyone order from this establishment, and after our experience, I would question the authenticity of any positive reviews. read more

This is a tough review because I really like the taste of the deep dish pizza here. I ordered my usual deep dish with regular flavored crust, sausage and onion pizza with extra sauce. From past experience I know the pizza will be hit or miss as far as being able to actually find the toppings and also find the extra sauce. Today was a let down day. The toppings were scarce and the sauce almost non existent. But DARN that crust is delicious!! But who wants to get cheese bread when you've ordered and payed for toppings and extra sauce? This is why the review is a three star rather than a 5 star review. When this pizza is good it's actually GREAT, but when the pizza builder decides to skimp on toppings and forget your extra sauce, it's still okay, but not great. If you guys could get your act together as far as consistency and deliver what is actually ordered, you'd be my favorite pizza place on the beach. Wow, what can I say. My experience with both Tory (so) and George (sp) was astounding. No customer service skills whatsoever. Ordered a pizza with half onion and half mushroom on one half. See pic below on what showed up. The default setting in the app is no mozzarella. Who orders a pizza with no cheese unless specifically stated. Why would you have to select no cheese, as opposed to selecting no cheese on your order. Then they blame me for a misplaced order. Okay, well if that's the case what did my pizza end up with the toppings on the wrong sides. No accountability and the MOD George hung up on me. Sorry, don't order from these people, they will not take accountability for anything and not be proactive and call when they see something out of whack.either way, you both don't deserve to be in management. I'd be willing to bet you cost the owner of this store at least 20%in sales from loss of repeat customer base. I asked for both the franchise owner " we don't know who that is" was the answer, then I asked for a corporate number and was told " we don't have that. Sad part is a quick Google search produces the results. How the hell is this who runs the store?? Seriously, do a job, no matter what it is to the best you can. I absolutely love Hungry Howie's Pizza!! I was trying to place an order online and my coupon code wouldn't work. I called the store and was immediately put on the phone with a manager. She was super nice, taking the time to go to the website to see what I was talking about. She witnessed that the code didn't work so she went one step further by honoring my code via telephone. She also honored the code I had for the bread as well. The delivery was super fast, the pizza was piping hot and my special instructions were followed. The food was amazing as always. I give it 2 because I love the pizza but I've had an issue with the store every time I place an order. They don't seem to want to honor their online specials that come by email. And, the last order that I placed online had not even been started when I arrived to pick it up at the requested time. It allows you to pick a time in the future for pick up. I got there at that time and IT HAD NOT EVEN BEEN STARTED. When I complained, they said that the requested time means they start the pizza at that time. WHO DOES THAT???? Can I rate lower? After waiting 1.5 hours for a delivery only 2 miles away I called and asked to speak with a manager. I was told they were busy and was hung up on. I called back again and demanded to speak with a manager and was given a woman who was by far the rudest person I have ever come across. She told me that it is summertime in Myrtle Beach and I should have known that when I ordered. She then proceeded to tell me it will be about another hour. At that point I was beyond done. She then refused to refund my credit card (had to file dispute with my bank) and hang up on me. No sooner than she hang up there was a knock and well there was our order. I refused it and tipped the driver cash for his trouble. He proceeded to dump the food on my porch and left. They would not answer my calls from that point on and corporate has been no help either. I can understand waiting for food. Even an hour or more for delivery on a busy night but this place is beyond horrible.
