vegetable lo mien, cold sesame noodles

first of all HUNAN WOK Cranford has an excellent anti covid pickup system the counter had a huge sealed plexiglass front and to the right is a large box with a door for customers and a door in back for the restaurant to place your order and charge card receipt all very quick easy and safe! now for their delicious food i had the cold noodles with peanut sesame sauce which they give you inna separate half pint container; it's creamy and delicious the hand pulled authentic chinese noodles are generously topped with julienne carrots and string beans and then sprouts a really packed big portion then had vegetable lo mien delicious perfectly wokked

This was not Thai food.

I order food from this place every once in a while. Today we decided to order Thai food. One of the worst decisions I've made when it comes to food. The food was horrible. I took a few bites but decided not to eat it when I saw that some of the chicken looked uncooked. My girlfriend continued to eat and now feels sick to her stomach. The best way I can describe is that the owners went out to eat last night. They took home the left overs, reheated it and gave it to us. I wont be ordering from this restaurant anymore. Avoid this place like the plague.

Food is okay but they consistently mess up the order. Beware. Rice is often missing or the order is just not what was ordered.

There is a huge parking lot so there is ample parking even since the area is busy. The restaurant when I arrived was very clean. There was only one person in front of me ordering with a young man. The guy behind the counter was very friendly and patient and helpful to pick out the best of the menu. I ordered the 3 meat sampler with ribs, pulled pork and brisket. None of the sides looked too appealing so I left them out and didn't get the combo meal. To my surprise it was a whopping $30 for the 3 meats. Granted it is certainly enough to feed two people, I was expecting a side of some sort to come with it, a roll, something. Last minute I was given a cold slaw. Taste wise it isn't the best bbq I've had but if you're a carnivore like me...it will meet the need. The pulled pork had too many overcooked hard areas and the ribs were just okay. Will I be back? Maybe maybe not. I didn't eat anything that I would necessarily write home about but maybe.

I probably wouldn't stop by after trying this TGTG. I'd probably have to spend at least $60 to get a BBQ from here and it doesn't seem worth it. I would hit up Red white and Que in green Brook for decent BBQ around the area.

Qsina 8 in Union, NJ, is an acclaimed Filipino-Asian fusion restaurant. Diners and costumers like…read moreme praise the authentic homestyle dishes, standout flavors, generous portions, and exceptionally very friendly and warm service, though some of my companions note a plain ambiance and higher price points ( for me their pleasing food quality and taste outweighs the price ). The Chicken Sisig, Palabok, pork BBQ and sizzling Biko with ice cream are a must-try from the food menu. The appetizers, like the piping hot vegetable lumpia and their humongous portion of Halo-halo as dessert are highly recommended by me and other reviewers. When we dined at this place, the whole staff gave me a feeling as if I was eating at an aunt's house, with the owner and staff providing very welcoming, family-style care. I have been living in NY for more than 30 years, have already eaten in so many low and high-end Filipino restaurants, in terms of food quality and taste, I may say this by far is the best that I have experienced. If given the chance to be in New Jersey again, I will definitely, 100% be back to this place for their delicious and flavorful food. Some of my companions point out that the seating area is relatively small, which can lead to limited availability during peak times, and a few note the interior decor is fairly plain but it did not matter to me because the food that I ordered/tried were great and amazing (properly spiced, cooked very well and soooooooo delicious!! ). Food portions are generous, presentation was appetizing and excellent, staff service was attentive and great ( I noticed that our water glasses were always filled up which is a service very consistent in so many high-priced restaurants that I have been ). Table setting is good, food utensils and plates were very clean ( yes, I checked it! ). I am extremely satisfied with my food experience and the hospitality of the owner and their staff in this Filipino restaurant. HIGHLY RECOMMENDABLE!!!

Service wasn't that great and we were the only customers there at the time then other guest staggered in . I'm all for restaurants thriving and always wish them luck but holy cow prices are crazy average appetizers are $16.50 or more and entree dishes are $25 or more for serving sizes and flavors are really lacking in a lot of dishes . Lechon was cut thinner not the usual big chunks and the oil tasted old and was greasy . Sinigang with the Baboy was very underwhelming the Baboy wasn't boiled down enough . The sisig has too much of a soy sauce taste and way too much mayo on top . The chicharron bulaklak was okay could have used a bit more seasoning and seemed to be a popular item that day . The BBQ stick was decent but not for $18 . Being Filipino myself I know everyone has their own way of making certain dishes so people may like it but in my opinion I've had better at a few other spots . Wishing them all the best .

I really miss Portuguese BBQ in NJ from when I used to work in Newark, but rarely come out this way…read moremuch anymore. BBQ joints dotted the landscape in the Ironbound neighborhood. But I found Long Ave BBQ on a Yelp search and on a trip back on I-78, I took a detour through Hillside to pick up dinner. The place reminds me of all the hole-in-the-wall places in the Ironbound with stainless steel covering everything, a brick pit charcoal grill and a giant ventilation hood sucking all the smoke up through the chimney and the whole neighborhood smells like BBQ. One innovation I see is that they use a motorized grill basket system that's constantly turning a bunch of grill baskets with chicken & ribs sandwiched in them. After perusing the menu, I order the Parrillada Portuguesa, a huge family meal for 6 people, that'll last my little family of 3 for 3 days. The PP comes with grilled chicken breast, a half chicken, pork ribs & cross sliced beef short ribs (Korean LA Kalbi style). The slices of chicken breast are too dry and with not a lot of flavor, but the pork ribs have that Ironbound Portuguese charcoal flavor I miss so much (even though a few ribs were a little tough to chew). The BBQ half chicken is alright, but not as much flavor as Peruvian rotisserie style and the short ribs are not as good as Korean style. I think they should do whole beef ribs Southern style, low and slow or even a whole beef brisket would be great. The Parrillada comes with 2 side dishes that are not shy by any means. You get an aluminum tray filled with 1/2 french fries and 1/2 rice that will be enough for 3 meals also! Next time, I would come back just for a full rack of the pork ribs, but I hope that the pitmaster doesn't overcook it.

The place is veteran owned and has been in business for a while! All the choices on the menu are mouth watering good! After serious consideration we settled on sharing the Trinity platter which came with brisket, spare ribs and sausage links. We opted out of the sausage and upgraded the platter with pastrami. The Texas Trinity platter also comes with choices of pickles, one small sized side, we had Mac and Cheese, and 2 rolls. The portions were satisfying and good to share. The meats, oh my! All were smoked and cooked to perfection! Moist, juicy, and tender! Even better, they were seasoned so well there is no need for the also perfect sauces they offer! What an amazing experience at Red White n Que Smoke House! From the friendly and attentive service to their amazing smoked meats! All was top notch real at this place! The staff was very friendly and sociable. I had the Texas Trinity ($36.87). It came with a quarter pound of brisket, quarter rack of ribs, a jalapeno cheddar sausage link, a small side, house pickles and two rolls. The day I went, they unfortunately ran out of the sausage, so they replaced it with a quarter pound of pastrami with no added charge. The side I choose was mac and cheese and the pickles I had were horseradish. This was a large plate of food for sure. I liked how all the meats were sliced, nice thickness on them. The brisket was very tender and very flavorful. The ribs were a little inconsistent with texture, but the flavor was on point. My favorite was the pastrami. The pepper rub was great and just the overall consistency of the meat. The mac and cheese was very cheesy, but still solid and was ideal adding their multiple sauces. The only one I did not like was the white Alabama. All of the other ones, good. The horseradish pickles were a nice change up and paired well with the meats. I also tried the BBQ sundae that had smoked baked beans with pulled pork and vinegar slaw. The type of meat and slaw were chosen. This was very tasty too and another big portion. Will I go back? No doubt.

The food was out quick, the service was great and they checked on us multiple times to make sure everything was good. The food was great, not too Smokey (like liquid smoke), and the different BBQ side options were excellent. The Mac n Cheese was some of the best I've ever had out. My kids enjoyed the meat and sides alike. I would recommend this to anyone who wants high quality BBQ right here in NJ. Unfortunately, the food was very subpar. I'm not sure what all the hype is about; the chicken even had feathers! Please wash your chicken completely--what a turn-off! As for the sides, the potato salad had an overwhelmingly strong mustard flavor. A little sugar could have balanced it out nicely. The green beans were good, but they really lacked flavor. Lastly, the cornbread was horrible--super dry and tasted like it had been sitting out for days. I couldn't finish dinner; that's how bad it was. I am so disappointed, especially since this was my first experience with this restaurant. ' My/our people' should know better than to serve this type of soul food.'
