Speaking of just food - delicious. The general Tso tofu was very different. It was very soft on the inside, although still lightly fried on the outside. They were all huge pieces pieces and all really delicious. Got the vegi lo mein which was great, nothing much to say on it. Also got the spring rolls which were very good. They had a different spice that I normally don't taste in spring rolls maybe turmeric? It was good! Inside is dingy with not the most responsive staff, but what ever. You're here for the food not the atmosphere.

This is probably my favorite Chinese restaurant in the area! We moved here not long ago, but soon discovered this awesome place. It's our go-to spot when we mention Chinese because it's always fresh and tasty. I usually don't get Chinese before, but ramen noodles with chicken are mad tasty. No shortcomings for this place.

We got takeout so can't speak to the ambiance but it's a small little place. I ordered online and ordered small size for the gyro, chicken kebabs and appetizer falafel/hummus and large size hummus and tabbouleh. It came with extra pita bread, yogurt sauce, and a spicy sauce. I was ordering for 3 people for dinner and it was just barely enough food. It was $100, which I feel is insane. I meant to take pics but we were hungry and I was not able to. Also, the proportion of meat to rice is another reason I don't feel like it was worth the price. I don't mean to be disrespectful or rude, but I think there are certain cuisines one expects to be more on the budget friendly side. For $100 I expect more. We ordered no drinks, no desserts no sides: just 2 appetizers & 3 small plates.

Since we devoured our food,no pictures this time! Conveniently located across the street from Oakflower brewery :)

We sat at the bar and were greeted promptly by the bartender even though he was getting slammed. Our cocktails (Makers Mark on the rocks and Tito's up olives) were served promptly. Nicely chilled martini glass. :) Menu is decent size and as you would expect, heavy emphasis on seafood. Wine list is brief (by the glass and bottles) but many food friendly choices of good value. When we went to order some oysters, we were told we needed to put the entire dinner order in at one time. I thought that peculiar, so we took some more time to peruse the menu while we were shooting the breeze. We decided on a dozen oysters. I had the Seaford Special and my friend had the Mussels Bianco. We ordered a bottle of Albarino to have with dinner. The Cape May oysters came out first. Ice cold. Nice and briney. Served with ample horseradish and cocktail sauce. Wish they served a mignonette. Nevertheless, oysters on the mark. Their sesame semolina bread is delicious. No butter needed. The mussels were cooked perfectly. Reminded me of Jacque Pepin's recipe. Lots of flavor but not too much garlic. The Seaford Special was spectacular and awesome value. Lobster tail and very generous portions of clams, calamari, shrimp and scallops served over penne in a light white sauce. The Albarino paired well with both dishes. I finished with a capuccino which was hot and on the mark. Wonderful evening of banter at the bar. Perfect pace, tasty dishes and great service. Cant wait to bring my bride here. Oh. One last thought. This was a Tuesday night and the bar was full as were most tables. They do NOT take reservations so be prepared to have a drink or two at the bar while waiting for a table. Worth the wait! Cheers!

It's super crispy, not greasy at all, and the homemade honey mustard sauce is amazing. It's perfect on the sesame bun and honestly one of my favorite meals to grab during the week. My boyfriend always goes for the build-your-own bowls, which he loves because he can customize exactly what he wants every time. They're always really good and a great option if you're in the mood for something tailored to you. I also went for breakfast for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised. I tried the Fruity Pebbles matcha, which was pretty good, though I think I would've liked it even more with 2% milk, which they didn't seem to have. I also had the So Extra sandwich and it was so good. The hash brown was still perfectly crispy inside the sandwich, the eggs were fried just right, I loved the touch of spinach, and whatever sauce was on it really tied everything together. I'd honestly come back just for that sandwich alone. Also it's super cute inside, perfect to bring a friend or date looking for a healthier option in downtown Somerville, NJ!

I walked in…read moreat 11am and went up to the kiosk, and realized that only breakfast items were available. I wanted to try something from the lunch menu, after asking an employee, I was told that lunch starts at 11:30am. So I came back around that time to order. I've been seeing their Big Mack Smash on social media for some time now, and it definitely looks delicious. So I decided to I order their single patty Big Mack Smash, with angus meat and American cheese, on a plant based white bun. I don't care for sesame seeds on buns, and there was no option for a regular burger bun (without sesame seeds), so I selected the non sesame seed vegan bun. I also ordered a side of fries with garlic aioli. The plant based white bun was a little dry and the burger patty was also dry and did not have much flavor. Maybe I should have done a double patty for the burger, since it is a smashed patty and a little too thin for my liking. I felt like I was eating a dry burger bun with mostly lettuce, and occasional pickle and the Mack sauce. I probably will not order the garlic aioli again, it had a sweeter and nutty flavor to it, and I prefer more of a savory aioli. I used to order their Blackened salmon with a side of greens and Spanish rice in their BBQ Ranch flavor style, from their old menu. I do miss that meal, it was so flavorful and delicious with the crispy onions to top everything off. But I understand that they made the change to better suit the business and cut back on waste. I probably would not order the big Mack burger again. But I will definitely be back to try something else from the new menu. I've been a customer for over 6 years, and have introduced some of my family members and friends to this restaurant, and we've enjoyed our meals here for that time. I love that there are many vegan and vegetarian options here. Although I am neither, it's definitely a great place for those who have dietary restrictions/preferences. Hopefully I find my new go to menu item soon, but in the meantime I will be ordering and trying many of the other new menu items. This is definitely the place to come if you don't want a typical vegan meal. You'd be like a kid in a candy store, with the amount of options that are here. They also have many non vegan options. Turf, Surf and Earth serves EVERYONE and that is their biggest positive!

For the dishes here, you build your own, but it's pretty simple. You pick your protein (beef, chicken, lamb, roast pork, fish, shrimp) then decide if you want it on a bun, over rice, on a salad, or on a platter, and add any of a whole bunch of toppings like onions, pickles, beans, fried egg, pico, bacon, mushrooms, jalapeños and others. Or you can build tacos! The angus burger is vey good. The fries are pretty standard, but the onion rings are thick, crispy and flavorful. I always have too many. The slow roasted pork is very good, and I always get it over the white rice, which is tossed with olive oil and cilantro. The rice is very aromatic,I think it's basmati.I also like the salmon, but sometimes it can be a little dry. This is probably due to getting it to go and it steams more in the packaging. We also really like the tacos, having tried the shrimp version, AND the fish tacos, AND the chicken, AND the pork. My mother would get the shrimp tacos over and over again, my favorite is probably the pork. You can have it with tons of toppings, which we usually do. I also had the Cuban sandwich and had no complaints. Lots of choices and ways to customize, mix and match, and keep it new each time. Probably something for everyone in a family with different tastes.
