Good food, fair price. As a takeout I would recommend this place. Cashier is polite.

Best Chinese food in the area. My family and I have been ordering from here for 20+ years.

The food was fresh and looked good, but nearly everything lacked flavor. It was very bland.

Fast delivery, but everything had way to much garlic. My lomein was crunchy from all the garlic pieces on it.

Not sure why this place has such a poor rating! Ordered delivery yesterday and food was delicious - best Chinese in the area.

About 2 minutes later, I went to the counter again to order pork lo mein and wonton soup. The staff member was visibly irritated and rudely said, "You have to tell us. You didn't say anything and now the dumplings are almost done." It felt unnecessary, considering I hadn't finalized my order and told them I would take another look at the menu. Food wise: The pork lomein was a bland and both the noodles and pork were a bit dry. The pork tasted off in addition to the poor texture. I wouldn't order it again. On the other hand, the wonton soup was delicious with deep flavor in the broth. Best wonton soup I've had from a casual restaurant. It was hot, flavorful, and not oily. The wontons were good as well. The filling had good flavor and the wrapper was a nice texture. The restaurant itself was calm and dim with a decent amount of seating available inside.

Both the dim sum menu and a lunch menu with standard Chinese restaurant fare were available. My party got the general tso's chicken from the lunch menu, and it was exceptional. Good-quality white meat with just enough spice. Heads up, though, the lunch dishes don't come with rice, so order that separately. From the dim sum menu, we ordered braised tripe with ginger & scallion, fried shrimp rolls, shrimp dumplings, steamed chicken buns, and crab meat soup dumplings. The braised tripe was a standout. It was cooked in a light yet flavorful sauce of ginger and scallion with the tripe's own broth. The delicateness of the sauce worked perfectly with the tripe. The dumplings were all great, especially the soup dumplings. The steamed chicken bun was the only thing I'd skip. It was on the heavier side, and the filling was just okay. The bill came out to about what I expected for the amount of food we ordered--$65 before tip. The service was friendly, and taking our order and getting the food was quick. After the food arrived, though, it was a little difficult to flag down a server to order more and later to get the check. Still, it was understandable given how busy they were, constantly collecting orders and putting out food. Overall, Canton Palace is a great find for anyone looking for this style of Chinese food outside of the usual New York neighborhoods.

You really cannot go wrong with any of the standard dim sum items or American-Chinese classics, but they have a huge array of authentic Cantonese items. If you're not sure where to start, go with the assorted dim sum, soup dumplings, and the spicy salted pork chop.

It died down a little bit after 730 but still it gets quite good business. The chips you get when you sit down were a little stale. I don't really eat that stuff anyway. On the bright side, the sweet and sour sauce it came with was very good and the wasabi mustard had a huge kick. The soup dumplings were legit. As good as you will find in Edison. $12.25 for 6. A little bit pricier than Edison but you pay for the fact that you can have it in this area. The filet mignon with spicy pepper sauce was pretty good. Portion size is in the middle. Not too generous nor skimpy. It wasn't spicy. It came with delicious mushrooms and baby bok choy. The black pepper sauce was delicious. Similarly the pepper steak with onions was also mid on portion size and amount of meat they give you. It came with delicious chopped peppers and onions as well. Good flavor. Both of these steak dishes came with a complimentary bowl of rice. The pot of tea was also complimentary. It was pretty good tea. The service was great. Very friendly staff and they changed our plates after the soup dumpling appetizer. Sprite was only $2 and a bottle of san pelligrino $3. Good place with a strong loyal customer base. We will be back!

The sauce had just enough numbing warmth without overpowering the dish, and every bite was incredibly satisfying. Beyond the appetizer, the restaurant offered a warm atmosphere and attentive service that made the dining experience even better. When it comes to food, I never judge a burger by its bun, so thanks to Yelp for helping me find it. The sign in the window says "Asian fusion" which usually sends me running as it's often a cop-out label for bad mixed-up Asian cooking, but this is authentic y'all, meaning true-to-tradition dishes with a sometimes more contemporary application of ingredients or flavors. The "fusion" part must come from the fact that they have a small Taiwanese section as well as the main Szechuan/Sichuan menu, alongside a few familiar Chinese-American favorites like sesame chicken or broccoli x protein, so you can get that here too. Everything we ordered was phenomenal! Great flavors, generous portions, cooked with confidence and finesse. Compliments to the kitchen - they really know what they're doing. Not a single dish was lacking. They even put out peanuts at the start and serve fresh orange slices at the end of the meal. Very old school. We loved it all: * Salt & white pepper crispy chicken ("Taiwanese specialty") - well-battered and flavored, and perfectly crispy * Taiwanese minced pork rice * Chicken red curry - fabulous, with fresh vegetables and just the right balance of spice * Golden dish (fish) - very special dish in a salted duck egg yolk batter * Beef chow fun * Marinated crispy duck Wish I lived closer, but will definitely come back when we are in the area. Best of the best - very highly recommended!
