Great beers! Big space good for groups. Everyone really enjoyed the tater tots. They give you a lot in one order and it's a great snack to enjoy. I was a bit disappointed in the fish sticks. It was heavy on the breading, and not a lot of flavor. Next time, I'll stick to just beer and tots!
Stopped by here on a weekend with a friend as this had been a place another friend had been raving about when he was in Santa Cruz. Stopped in and saw there was an open table to hang out in with a couple on the other end, asked if we could sit on this side, and they said go right on ahead! It was a beautiful afternoon, and we ordered a couple of beers. I was a bit hungry and saw that they had tater tots, and I thought to myself, I haven't had this in a while! The tots came out super quick, and the beers did as well. There was a friendly puppy next to me who loved the tater tots and would jump up begging for food. It was cute, but the owners told him no more after a few free tots from us! The place itself is nice, there's a food truck if you want variety, and the beer selection is nice. A great place to hang out by the ocean and enjoy a nice beer at the end of the day or the weekend!
Great beer and tots. Loved that we could take the dogs and not have them be in everyone's way. Did I mention the great beer??
Great beer and good food! The fish and chips was amazing, super fresh and delicious, the best I've had in ages! At first I thought tater tots were a strange go to instead of fries, but everything tasted great so I have no complaints. We sat outside in the sun, and the beer garden vibe was a little loud but really fun on a weekend. I love their Helles (super classic geman style!) and am excited to eat this tasty food again!
I love humble sea & that's all you need to know ... lol fish & tots - 9/10 honestly slaps but I just wish there were fries instead burger - 10/10 amazing I have no words except that I'd rather have fries anyways I always get their beers at restaurants & taprooms & in cans where they're sold - the actual stores are an hour away from me so I rarely make a trek - but I guess I was craving the beach so I came by two weekends in a row (rip my gas) pretty packed on the weekends! (usually I only ever came here on a mental health day off from work) only a few tables under awnings outside & the picnic benches themselves don't have umbrellas so just be aware that you might roast in the sun dog friendly outside so lots of lil borky friends
Met up with friends for lunch and drinks here. I'm not normally much of an IPA drinker and that's mostly what they had on tap that day but I will drink hazy IPAs. They had multiple foggy IPAs so I asked the bartender what he recommended and he suggested I try the Socks & Sandals which is one of their signature beers. He also very nicely gave me a small sample of another one too for me to try and do a comparison. The beer was good, and I bought a couple of cans to take home from their takeout beer fridge. Was happy that they allow purchase of singles not just 4-packs. As for lunch, I got the burger since both of my friends highly recommended it. Added avocado. It was delicious. One of my friends added bacon to his, and the bacon also looked quite good too. I love that it came with tots. I like fries but I almost never finish them but for some reason I can demolish tots. The spicy seasoning on it had a surprising kick that built up over time. There's the option to get non-spicy for folks who can't handle the heat. I'm curious about the fish and tots too. My other friend said their salad is also great so she ordered that as her side to be a little healthier, especially since she knew she could eat some of her husband's tots haha. My husband and I had been to Humble Sea a couple of times before when it first opened, and I think the quality of their food has stepped up quite a bit. (Not that it was bad before but I loved my meal this time.) They have a good sized outdoor seating area which was nice since that meant my friends could bring their dog who I love seeing. And it's super close to the beach! After we left, we took a very short walk to get to the beach and walked along the ocean for a bit. Not sure how crowded it gets parking-wise on a sunny weekend but it was super easy on a weekday afternoon.
Great Hazy's and West Coast beer can be found here! The food is solid also, tarter tots go well with all their beers! Service is quick with their table QR code ordering system. Great place to spend a sunny Saturday in Pacifica.
Humble Sea continues to be one of my favorite places to hangout in Pacifica. Even though I don't come too often, each time I do feels like a treat. They have the best beers, beer names and can designs! The weather was perfect to grab a table outside and hang with the pup. The QR code on the tables and ordering online option make it very simple to get your food and drinks. The food menu is limited but the food we've had here has always been above average. Hubby got a hot dog and tots off the kids' menu. I got lobster from the food truck nearby. I decided to try three new beers during this visit so got the 5oz pours of each one. The Spritz Sea is a hard seltzer reminiscent of an Aperol Spritz. The New Sealand is a New Zealand Pilsner. The Raiders of the Lost Shark is a foggy IPA. I loved all three and love the names even more. Parking can be a challenge in this strip mall by the beach on the weekends. Nothing a little time and patience can't fix.
My favorite brewery in Pacifica! They have a great space, although indoor capacity is somewhat more limited. You can ordered directly from your table. The beer variety is amazing, they also have cider and wine. Food options are limited but good. The tater tots are the best and the hot dog! Sometimes they have food trucks visit too. It can get busy during meal times but otherwise super easy to find parking and a table!
Great selection of beer. The fish and taters were really good. The quinoa bowl was filling but not unique. The chicken was quite dry and chewy. The host wasn't very welcoming to our group, I hope they improve on this.
Food Quality: ***** Service: ***** Ambiance: **** Value: **** Great vibe, sometimes difficult to find parking with the beach being so close. Beer is great and so is the food, I'll definitely be coming back as well as try the other locations across the bay. Service is good, you can order off of QR code to the table or go to the bar. They offer samples which is nice if you're not sure what to roll with.
We've been coming here for years, and it's one of those places that never disappoints. The staff is always incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes every visit feel easy and enjoyable. The food is consistently great, and the beer selection is solid--there's always something good to try whether you're in the mood for something light or more craft-forward. The vibe is relaxed and fun, perfect for hanging out with friends or just unwinding. They also have a great outdoor patio, which is a huge plus, and their trivia nights are always a good time. It's the kind of spot you keep coming back to without even thinking about it. Highly recommend!
Humble Sea is a Pacific Coast staple with lots of locations up and down the coast. This location holds its own and lives up to expectations! We ordered a few of their classic brews and some burgers. This location has two different menus depending on whether you're there on Monday-Tuesday vs. the rest of the week. The Tuesday menu offers just burgers and hot dogs with tater tots. I was a bit disappointed when we were told the only way to order is via a QR code, but we made do and got our order in. Everything after that is table service, including the bussing! The tater tots have a great spicy seasoning, and the double patty smash burger is fantastic. I enjoyed the white cheese over the regular American. The pricing was pretty good, too! We enjoyed the food and beers here. They also have a fantastic merchandise selection with some truly unique items. We loved enjoying our meal outdoors in their large outdoor patio space with covered and uncovered seating options! Cheers!
I know this doesn't get said enough, Pacifica doesn't get enough love! Lots of hidden gems can be found in this city, and Humble Sea is one of them. They opened in July 2021, and I've driven by so many times on my way to Devil's Slide trail, and before my hike, I decided to grab brews and a bite. There was a couple seats at the bar, and was greeted by Robert, who exemplified amazing customer service in a multitude of ways. I asked for a recommendation, he said go for the fish and chips, and I went with that. It comes with 3 medium/large pieces of battered and deep fried fish and a generous amount of tator tots. On side the side you also get a grilled lemon to squeeze over the fish and this citrus hop aioli which was HELLA GOOD. Dipped everything in that sauce, it was one of the best aiolis i've had in a long time. For $21, I definitely think another piece of fish would be nice, but that's my big appetite talking. For beer, Humble Sea makes delicious and diverse beer, so it really is based off your preference. I got the super pop (or something like that) and it was perfect for a warm day. So good, I had to order two! As mentioned earlier, Robert gave amazing customer service, even after another patron had yelled at him for virtually no reason at all. He stayed calm, cool, and collected the whole time and was still able to provide people at the bar amazing service. All of us sitting there were in shock of how mean this guy was, and it was nice to see the guy come back after his meal and apologize to Robert. It was a reminder, always treat your servers with respect! Working in the service industry pre-pandemic was tough, add all these new rules/regulations and changes, give the people who are serving you some empathy, kindness and gratitude! According to the staff, how busy they are is very weather dependent. If it's a clear, warm sunny day, it's not rare for there to be a 45+ minute wait. So be sure to factor that into your plans if you plan on coming on a beautiful and hot day. read more
Pacifica is one of my most favorite places in the Bay Area, not only for its beautiful scenery, but amazing places like this. We were lucky enough to score an amazing day and this place has an outdoor patio that's perfect for drinks with friends. The beer selections were amazing and even better was the double kook burger. Cooked perfectly with just a little pink, this burger had so much flavor I couldn't get enough. The caramelized onions, cheese, and toppings came together harmoniously in this unsurprisingly tasty burger. I was pleasantly surprised. To compliment the burger were these perfectly seasoned tater tots that actually had the perfect kick to them. So yummy. There was ample seating outside and somehow we found great parking which can be rare in such an epic area at the beach and on a sunny summer day. The beers were flowing, catching up with friends after work, and tummies full and happy. What else could you ask for. read more
This has got to be my favorite Humble Sea location in the Bay Area. Located near the beaches of Pacifica, you'll find Humble Sea parked in a modern spacious plaza. Everything from the exterior to interior is beautifully and thoughtfully designed. There is outdoor seating with a roof covering if you are thinking about bringing your furry friends. There's a few shops that share this plaza that you can look for food after your beer or viceversa which is a big pro. The other location of Humble Sea was a stand alone spot with not many other businesses nearby within walking distance. Their menu offers your basic brewery food items which are typically deep fried, greasy and priced about $15+ per item. They offer fish and chips, tater tots, and burgers. For drinks, they don't offer too much variety. They do have some lagers, IPAs (which they are known for), as well as a small selection of cider and smoothies. I do appreciate the ability to order just the tasting glasses if you just want to sample a drink and not commit to a large glass. The drinks can be ordered to your table via QR code. The workers insisted to see our ID every single time they dropped off our beers which got a bit annoying since they know we've been the same party ordering the previous beers. But anyway, they have to do their job I suppose. Their merch store is amazing. They have a good amount of sizes for their tshirts and hoodies. They do a great job with their designs and even quality if the shirts they use. Most of the fabrics are very soft. They offer t shirts, long sleeves, dad hats, and beanies as well. The superfood smoothie was so refreshing yet light. If you like fruity drinks, definitely get this one. My fiancee really enjoys their IPAs. If you're in the area or just even looking for a cool brewery to hangout in, check out this location of Humble Sea. You won't have to endure the terrible drive of highway 17 nor face the challenge of finding street parking at their other location in Santa Cruz. I also found the service to be much faster and friendlier and this location. read more

Thanks for the review Sandra! Glad you enjoyed your visit!
There was a road block on Highway 1 on the way to Half Moon Bay. No announcement or news on status and cars lined back so we decided to pull over and sit out with hopes the road would clear. This brewery was on the nearby shopping center. Time to check it out. I wish I could drink but I was the designated driver. So sitting it out meant, non alcoholic beverages and light bites. We ordered bottled tea, Diet Coke with the battered fish and toters. The drinks came immediately after posting online. Shortly the food came. The fish and toters were the bomb. They hit and crispy the way they should be. It became crowd quickly for a late rainy Saturday afternoon. We soon developed a back up plan to resume our journey to half moon bay. Will consider stopping by the next opportunity to try some of their beer. read more

Tried out this place and it was great! the food was fresh. If you are fan of tater tots you HAVE to come here. The menu was QR code but the folks I brought with me are not really tech savvy, so luckily there were still paper menus. You also don't have to pay through your phone if you don't want to. We ordered the Fish and Chips. It was nicely fried, the tartar sauce was also bomb. Served with a charred lemon! We also got two of the double beef patty burgers. They were juicy and flavorful, served with a side of your choice. We got tater tots. The server was really great with modifications as one of them was made with a lot of ingredients either substituted or gone. Lastly, the chopped salad we ordered by mistake (we wanted the other salad) was still great nonetheless. Dressed perfectly. Croutons were a teeny bit hard to bite through though. For beers we got two different kinds. I really liked how they have in a regular 16oz glass, and one in i think 5oz? It was nice if you just want to sample a flavor and I picked one that was great! Seating was outdoor and I love the slight breeze on a sunny day. Great for bringing family or friends here! read more

Good place for either a casual date or a relaxed family meal. The outdoor dining area is nice, and inside feels spacious and ventilated. Parking is easy, service is friendly, decor is clean and modern with quirky touches, food options are slightly limited but include vegan items, and the beer selection is amazing. As a lightweight, I appreciate the option of 5oz drinks. We had the cauliflower hummus (nicely plated with both toast and a variety of veggies), wings (tasty and neither too gooey nor too dry), grilled chicken sandwich (yum), and fish and tots (the fish was crisp and tender, though slightly fishy for me). We all loved the seasoned tots. If you're in the mood for crunchy, salty, potatoey deliciousness and tasty local brews, this is the place to go. Bonuses: all-gender bathrooms, fun illustrations here and there, and connected merch shop with a beanie that has become a favorite of mine. read more

I had no idea of this place until my husband took me here per recommendation from some Pacifica locals. I can't believe what we've been missing out on! They have a great selection of beers, and I really like how they have 5oz glasses so you don't have to commit to drinking a whole 16oz. You can build your own beer flight in a way, which is pretty cool! The food is surprisingly very good as well! I ordered the veggie burger and my husband ordered the grilled chicken sandwich, along with chicken wings to share. All of it was a hit! Their ranch sauce is on another level, and is a must try! Goes with everything: the tots, the sandwich, the wings! The indoor dining area isn't too large, but when the weather is nice, there's good amount of outdoor tables. Parking is easy because it's in a shopping plaza. The service was decent, something that you'd expect from a tap room that serves food. But overall, we enjoyed it and would totally come back with the kids this time too! read more

Tots, Burgers, Salad and beer, what more could you ask for?? I stopped in to order a salad with their fresh buttermilk ranch salad dressing and ended up enjoying a beer flight. I was on a diet at the time, or so I thought...the beer was tasty and my salad was fantastic. My diet now includes tots and beer... On my next visit, I will definitely stay for a plate of their tots. The staff is super friendly and anyone that can support a local business SHOULD. The food, vibe and people are amazing. Seriously, just put the car in park and pull up a chair, you'll be happy before you can say the word B E E R read more
I love how they have custom flights :) their 5 oz cups are cute. I'm more of a dark beer drinker so I was pretty bummed there was no stout on tap. But I made due with the sour. Very fruity flavors :) The wings were good finger food, hummus was average, Loved the seasoned tots and not a fan of the power bowl. read more

Had a little tasting between the three of us, I thought the beers were ok. Mainly liked the Super Socks Sandals! It's described as a smoothie beer, which is what it tasted like. Fruity and totally drinkable, especially if you're like me aka not really a beer drinker. Very friendly servers. Cute decor and lovely atmosphere right by the sea. Lots of outdoor seating. We did have to wait for our seats, but they took down our number and texted us when a table was open! Water cups were available to grab on your own, but I noticed they were quite dirty and had some trouble finding a clean one. read more
Came by to an almost-full taproom and an extremely full parking lot on a Sunday afternoon. The location is great as it's walking distance to the beach. They have a QR code system that allows you to order and pay on your phone without having to wait for a waiter to check on you or bring you the bill. We were welcome and seated immediately upon arriving, and our drinks came out within 60 seconds of ordering on the phone. The beers were delicious and it was a great experience all around. We had a good experience visiting the Santa Cruz location so this spot matched expectations. read more

Great place to hang out! Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. The schooner splash . They offer tasting size for all their beers so you can try all of them if you please. Their tater tots also hit the spot. Beer and tots. Nuff said. read more
Humble Sea is easily among the top tier of breweries in the Bay Area - with a really fun list of different beers on their menu that range from the beloved classics to some pretty funky creations. We decided to make our own flight and order 5 different samples sizes, and honestly none of them were bad. Even the "Oozlefinch", which is almost like drinking an actual smoothie made from beer, was oddly wonderful! This location has a spacious outdoor seating area, and the mobile ordering system makes it super easy if you have multiple people in your party who are paying separate. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. read more

The beer was on point. The server was super cool ( rene I think ). She was a big dog lover and I had my dog with me so that a plus. Both ipas were world class. Had a chicken sandwich which was real tasty. It came with tater tots which I'm usually not the biggest fan , but they were light and airy and sooooo good. Perfect location. Taking the physical space of the former Devils Slide Brewery... we are grateful they opened up!! Expanded outdoor eating area - dog friendly too. Inside is expanded, nice Space, good for bigger groups!, music was annoying (rap, rock, loud), limited menu. Next month !! - they will add to the current menu of burgers, sausage and tater tots... we will be back!! Hoping for more finger food & apps (veggies and sauces, pita and creamy sauce, clam chowder, onion rings) whatever... we know you'll get there! Welcome to the Neighborhood. read more

Great beer and love the sizes for the hubby who likes the bigger and me the designated driver the smaller ..wish the happy hour applied to food ! It's a bit pricey! ALSO TAKE A LOOK ATBTHE PIC.. guys you have to separate your vegan and vegetarian things !!you can't use the same fryer for chicken and tots and call them vegan and serve them w aioli *** also ,I forgot I had the hummus which was really good but I couldn't eat the bread because it tasted like meat because it's grilled where the meat is read more

Convenient location in Pacifica. Parking is tough but the restaurant is large, particularly the outdoor space which is dog friendly. Restaurant is kid friendly with the choice of hamburger or hot dog on their kids menu. Tater tots were delicious as was the chicken sandwich. The bacon chili jam on the chicken sandwich was very unique and tasty. Loved their little 5oz glasses for cider and beer. QR code menu with fast and friendly service. read more

I have just heard tons and tons of good things about this place and their beer so I needed to find out what all the hype was for myself. Came on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch and it was pretty packed - puttered around outside for a few minutes to wait for a spot outside and finally found one. FOOD: Fish and tots. Fish was solid, juicy, crispy with a batter not too heavy. They went for style points with the grilled lemon. The star here is the aioli though which really just brings everything together. The tots were also pretty fire as well - Cajun-esque seasoning and perfectly crispy, also quite good with the aoili. Cauliflower hummus. I was really looking forward to this, but it ended up being really bland. It tasted pretty much like cauliflower and olive oil, without any seasoning. Some finishing salt would have been pretty good, but I really just wanted a ton of garlic. Oh well. The bread was probably the best part, nicely grilled and oiled. The veges they served with this were fine, but overall, the hummus was boring and I would not get this again. As for their beers, they have a large rotating selection that changes pretty frequently. They've got some solid IPA's, but they didn't have any of their famous "pops" when I went. Overall, a solid spot to grab a beer and get some tots. Friends said burger was mediocre, but that is not my own opinion. I will definitely be back to hang out for some beer though. read more

Hi Bryant! Thanks for much a comprehensive review. Glad you liked the…
This is one of our friends' favorite breweries so my husband and I decided to go there for a casual date on the MLK long weekend. We came for the beer, but boy were we surprised by the delicious food! Rating Breakdown: 2/2 Stars for Taste -- We ordered the Double Kookburger as well as the fish and chips platter with both the spiced and plain tater tots. The Kookburger was a solid burger, but not something I would drive all the way to Pacifica just to have again. The fish and chips on the other hand were phenomenal. The perfectly seasoned batter was hearty and crispy on the outside without overwhelming the flaky fish inside. I could eat their tater tots all day. We were intimidated by the "spicy" warning on the tots, but honestly it is about as spicy as a zesty chili, not bad at all. After eating these, my husband refuses to eat plain tater tots at home now and he demands I figure out the spice blend. Their plain tots were delicious as well, and I don't know what it is, but we were tempted to ask them which brand of ketchup they use because there was something especially addictive about it. We wondered if it was made in house, but that would be asking too much. In terms of the brews, my favorite was the Doppel Doppel and my husband's favorite was the Socks & Sandals. You really can't go wrong with anything you choose here and their build-your-own-flight feature makes it easy to try before you buy. 1/1 Stars for Value -- OK, we accidentally spent $90 here with just two people, but we were on a date and we felt like splurging. It's about $20 per entree but the portion sizes are large. At about $3-4 for a beer taster and $8-10 for a full size pour, there's definitely something for everybody. 1/1 Stars for Customer Service -- We scanned the QR codes and put in our orders via Toast piecemeal. We were surprised at how quickly our beers came out every time, like, I just pressed submit order? Everyone here is super friendly and nice. The patio is dog friendly and they had the Warriors game on when we went. (They also had the NFL schedule written down on the board, so I suspect they play that too.) Bonus star because I'll definitely be making this stop part of my regular Pacifica trek. read more

Nice place to stop by if you are in Pacifica / Halfmoon bay. The beers are very good. They have indoor and outdoor seating and we had to wait for 30 mins for patty of 11 ( which is reasonable on a weekend) . Food was good We ordered wings, tater tots , cauliflower hummus ( this was a hit) , burgers, sandwich. PS: we ended with lot of tater tots so caution on on that read more
That hot shit brewery Humble Sea has finally come to Pacifica! Surprised to find they're not brewing on-site but the beers are still tasty. We got a flight and tried the Rejoyce Mixed Ferm, Hefen is a Halfpipe, Kookumber Gose, and the altbier. The Gose was so tasty but the hefe was downright weird with passion fruit. The space is large with both outdoor and indoor seating. The food is decent as well, but Pacifica Brewery down the street has better options. If you want to do a beer crawl, save the eating for later. Another nice addition to the Pacifica beer scene! read more

Do need to make reservations? What are walk-in waits like?
For my party of 4 we were able to just walk in. Indoor tends to me more full than outdoor, but there are nice large picnic tables in the back. Maybe reserve a table if your party is large.
Do you have any nonalcoholic beers? Pregnant and hoping there's something I can enjoy with my friends.
We don't have non alcoholic beers, but we do have other non alcoholic drink options!
