i'd visited the pet store yesterday because i've been looking for dog hair gel or dog nail polish,…read moreand ms juniper from petco recommended i ask at the boutique pet store dog dish. immediately, from the name and the corresponding sign in front of the store, i'm drawn to the store, as while i'm not opposed to cats, I'd definitely consider me a dog person. after perusing the store for a few minutes, i'd asked the two young women at the counter if either knew about the store carrying either dog hair gel or dog nail polish, to which i'd received a kind, polite response that neither had heard of such a product. then, displaying superb customer service, one worker, kayla, searched the products online and found that neither is carried in-store locally, but both appeared available on the websites chewy and amazon. nevertheless, not wanting to leave empty-handed, i'd decided to look more closely at the bulk food sort of treat section i'd noticed while perusing, and saw a couple kinds that looked appealing to me for the dogs at the crib, those being pumpkin and peanut butter flower-shaped treats and blueberry and peanut butter bone-shaped treats. then, after weighing the treats i'd selected, 3 of each of the 2 kinds, the aforementioned worker clearly informed me the bulk food treats, though mix and match, have a 1 ounce minimum, and those i'd selected so far had not reached that weight. so, rather than charge me for the minimum ounce price without bringing the treats up to weight, she added more of each kind of treat i'd selected to bring the bag to 1 ounce, definitely a gesture deserving of returning to shop again. and further, the second worker, alex, while her co-worker was filling the bulk food treat bag, gave an enticing description of the k-9 donuts on display at the counter, of which i'd expressed an interest. specifically, she described that the ingredients in the donuts are all-natural, and even friendly for human consumption. so, you know where i'm going next . after breaking the donut into fourths, which, sidebar, the one critique i'd offer is the donut was somewhat hard to break, i'd given a larger pieces to each of the two large dogs at the crib, and gave a smaller piece to the small dog . and with just a few seconds of hestation, i'd decided to taste the second smaller piece to offer a personal review, beyond that of the easy to please dogs, and i'd say that the donut, while not going to be a go-to for me to eat, did have a pleasant taste, and is a treat i'm very content feeding the dogs.

i'd stopped by the pet store tuesday, on the way from going to the gym to picking up breakfast,…read moremainly because of an interest i've had in painting the nails of the dog my mom and i have been watching. that said, the store does not sell pet-friendly nail polish. however, in order to give some regard for the polite, kind customer service given by the worker who opened the store that day, i'd got three dog treat cookies, one for each of the three dogs at the house where i'm living. for the two male dogs, i'd immediately set sight on the ice cream cone shaped treats, with sprinkled frosting in the place of an ice cream scoop, and for the female dog, i selected a green flower-shaped treat, a daisy or an orchid i'd guess specifically, after the same worker who answered the nail polish question showed me a selection of flower cookies available at the counter in addition to those in the display case in line. although the ice cream cone cookies did not break apart easily after separating the ice cream scoop section from the cone section, the larger male dogs did not have a problem eating the somewhat large pieces, and the smaller female dog did not have a problem eating the flower cookies, which i was able to rather easily break apart at the petals into six pieces. and lastly, though i'd not yet thought to ask about such a product during the recent experience, i'm interested to learn if the store sells pet-friendly hair gel, so i'd be able to hold the hair of the female dog in place when she is in a mood to wear the hair on the center of her head styled in a mohawk.

I've started a little garden in the balcony. There is a hole in one of the woods in the deck…read morerailing, very popular for birds to build nest. The birds have been fighting each other for that spot. The current birds are able to drive the previous birds nesting in there. They destroyed the old nest and currently building a new one. I found an intact egg belonging to the old birds last week in my herb garden. There was one broken egg outside of the garden. I placed the intact egg back in the nest. Hopefully, the new birds can hatch it but it's going to look different from the other hatchlings once hatched. The birds have been clipping my peppermint plants and pulling them out of the ground. I put them back but they kept on pulling them out. So I decided to buy them bird feed at PetSmart hoping that they would stop pulling my peppermint plants out of the ground. In hindsight, the birds are pulling my peppermint stalks from the ground to build the nest but not to eat. Everything makes sense now. What a waste of effort. I am no longer growing peppermint but if they destroy my other plants, I am sealing that hole. The birds don't like the bird feed at PetSmart. I put it out but they don't seem to eat it.

AGAIN! All week I've been fuming about my Toy Poodles first puppy trim on last Sunday. How could…read morethey be so inept in the service they bolster? By all the hype I was confident to leave my pup in their care for grooming. Upon picking him up all I could notice was that some hair was cut from over his eyes. He was still shaggy, nails still long and did not smell like a bath. 2 days later cut hair is shedding everywhere he lays. Alarmed by hair shedding I called and was told to to bring him back for a brushing and blow dry. Really⁉ wasn't that part of the service? No apology for the unearned $38 charge or the 45-minute drive to and from their shop. Instead, I was offered an undetermined discount on his next grooming. Really⁉ as if there's a chance in dog heaven that I would ever entrust them again for my puppy's grooming. So, today, a week later, I have an appointment with another groomer for a better job than they did (OR NOT) and charged me for Pics below of hair on his room's carpet and how shaggy he looked after treatment. Three stars for friendly service and store products. Grooming would be minuses 5 if made available. I would not recommend the grooming services AT ALL. Just a livid new puppy owner
