My fur baby was treated like another number, and I doubt he received all the services I paid for. Upon completion of his deluxe service, he didn't even receive his bandana. No one could tell me how his experience was, I'm unsure of who bathed him. His teeth were not touched, and of course, I do not know why. Again, I just felt like another number. We brought our husky in to be groomed here yesterday and they did an amazing job! His under coat was thinned out and he smells awesome.

My main gripe is about one employee. I don't know her name but she has dark hair and a neck tattoo. We go into this store quite regularly and EVERY time she is working in Petcare she claims all the fish have ich. If there is any other employee there is no problem. This one employee has been saying the fish have ich for OVER 4 months now and honestly it's outrageous. We examine the fish EVERY time we go in and we know what ich looks like. I have 4 fish tanks, a 800 gallon pond, and I used to work at PetSmart in the PetCare department. I've been keeping fish for over a decade. This employee just doesn't want to do her job. It's at the point where we aren't going to go to this store anymore and just go to the PetCo across the street. The other staff members have been very polite but unfortunately it just takes one bad grape to ruin the bunch. read more

For a big chain pet supply store this location is rock solid! Being an owner or 2 large dogs and having a 55 gallon and 10 gallon aquarium for freshwater fish I find virtually everything I need here. The staff are always friendly and the store is clean which I like. Where I almost never do this, you can bring your pets in with you and it's certainly welcomed. I like the selection of good they have as well as a variety of services from dog grooming, to obedience training and even adopting. They really seem to corporately make an effort to be on top of helping humans take good care of pets. The prices to me seem sometimes a bit much, but if you get the petperks going, it's cool to shop and find a good deal. I have saved a ton of money on name brand goodies and beds for my dog by catching a good sale! read more

Me and my wife attempted to adopt a cat today, but we couldn't even speak with anyone. We were ignored the whole time. We didn't want to tap on the glass to get her attention, so we tried to wave the lady inside down, but were ignored for a solid 30 minutes. Eventually we had to leave due to time. Three best points about PetSmart: 1) You won't find a bigger selection of items anywhere else. 2) Lines go fast and when they get backed up, another lane is opened until they are caught up. 3) You get your petperks reward on the spot instead of rewards somewhere in their computer that you have 30 days to use it or lose it as with some other places. My tip for cat owners: I have not found a better litter box odor control than freshstep. The cats however like to go in the mulch when let in the back yard - something chunky. I combine freshstep with one of those pine litter bags so they have a little bit of outdoor smell and chunkier pieces. My cats didn't like litter powder on their feet when coming out of the litter box - you know how cats like to keep clean. I bought one of those rug mats advertised as mud mats that have about a half inch of fibers. As the cats step out of the litter box, the rug mat takes care of the powder feel on their feet and between their toes. The mat can be bought many places in stores and internet. It is about 25 - 30 dollars. It is worth it. read more

They have most everything you could ever want to do with pets, at pretty good prices. They don't have specialty foods for cats with special needs, ie Hill's MD. The employees turn over, but for the most part, they are helpful. As far as toys for animals, there is no safety regulations for pet toys, I would never buy pet toys from anywhere. If you want a treat for your dog, visit the butcher! A cat loves anything that will roll. Location is little hard to get in and out. They have a vet and grooming, but I have never used them. I cannot say good enough things about this Petsmart. I have been to many a Petsmarts and this one is by far the best. I JUST moved to Tulsa, and my small dog needs to get her anal glands expressed every month. The groomers remembered my dog after her FIRST visit, and were also knowledgeable enough to tell me they were concerned about my dogs anal glands being impacted. Seeing I was about the burst into tears (dog lovers, you understand), they rushed me over the the Banfield Pet Hospital and helped me set up an appointment for the next day. The Banfield staff was wonderful, prompt, and soothed all of my anxieties. They are exceptional, and will get my business every time I need something moving forward. This might be a good store for dogs and cats, but as a chinchilla owner, I am usually displeased with the selection here. First of all they don't have chinchillas available for purchase, so their selection is rather small in the way of chinchilla specific toys etc. Another bone I have to pick with petsmart (pun intended), is that a lot of the toys and food that they carry for small animals can be harmful for them. After doing a lot of research on chinchilla diets, I learned that a lot of places sell food with treats in it and so overtime the chinchillas will only eat the treats and not the pellets that are nutrient full and good for them. I adopted my little fluff from a family who had not done their research, and he was living primarily off of treats because of this type of food. Petsmart does carry the healthy food, you just need to know what you're looking for. Petsmart does have some great deals on hay and other chinchilla essentials, I just wish they didn't carry the bad stuff. read more

I always take my dog here for grooming. They are very nice and very thorough. The prices are reasonable and I can adjust the grooming package to fit my budget at the time. Sometimes you're able to walk in and get grooming service for your pet, depending on their schedule. I've walked in before for grooming and for just nail clipping for my dog before more than once. I would have spent more money on merchandise today had the store had the items I wanted but their stock was low (maybe because of the holiday) and their tag machine was down since yesterday. read more

I started shopping at this store after their competitor across the street started going downhill in supply and service. I am glad they were able to get the job done when the other local pet food stores just weren't stocking what we needed for our picky Sphynx cats. This store has friendly staff and usually has the cat food that we buy in stock. When they are out of stock, they order for you or you can order online. I like the convenience of the location, as well. Easy to stop in on my way home from work and just snag some food and jump back on the freeway. We desperately needed our Maltipoo groomed, and were able to get a good appointment at this PetSmart. Somer was wonderful, and created the perfect cut. She also took the time to discuss some health concerns for our dog, which was appreciated. (Grooming review) I'm giving 5 stars because of the personal and compassionate experience I had. My rescue Gertie is toy poodle mix with 100000% full poodle hair maintenance. I'm new to Tulsa, and am new to having a poodle (I rescued her recently). I was devastated when I learned she was matted and I wasn't doing interim hair care for her properly. I started to get emotional as the staff talked me through the shave she'd need.. and without a judgmental eye or word, one of them walked me to the grooming isle in the store, we chatted and she was so kind and helpful, and recommended tools and how to use them. They called me when it was done, said they loved and doted and snuggled on her. When I picked her up I was shocked, as she's very anxious with strangers, to see that she was jumping happily and giving kisses to all the groomers in her vicinity! Great place full of animal lovers. Lots of the grain-free and natural products I always needed. My pug and I were always greeted like family when we came in. We had also taken many training classes with the trainer Valerie and these were so fun and really worked. My fiance and I come here for pretty much all our pets needs as far as food, toys, and clothes (YES WE DRESS OUR DOG). We have been coming here since our dog was a little puppy, and there was a lady named Valarie that just fell in love with her (the dog). Valarie is so sweet and caring, you can tell she honestly loves her job and loves animals. she walked with us thru the store answered alot of our questions about what would be good for the dog and what not. The staff is so nice and very helpful, And the best part is if you stop someone and ask them a question and they dont know the answer then believe it or not they actually go and find the answer and come back and tell you. For are Son's birthday he wanted a snake we took him here to purchase a sand boa and everything that he would need to start off with. After spending 355.00 on that Friday. the kit the lady worker said had everything was way off. On Saturday I spent another 300.00 and took back a extra light we did not need. The manager would not except the light on a return because it was opened. That was after she insisted I bought it from petco. Cause I didn't have the receipt do to the fact I had them email it to me. So after all that and still didn't get the light returned here. But the store in south tulsa was glad to take it back for me. So go across the street to petco. It's more up scale store. read more

I have been going to this vet/location since my pet was a puppy. She is now 2yrs old and I have nothing but great things to say! They treat her well and they take the necessary precautions to ensure I am aware of her health, etc. The staff is friendly and accommodating. It's easy to make an appointment also. read more
