You can pay with cards cash or you can buy a coin at the register and also it has a bunch of selections for a program that it takes you through where you have shampoo, conditioner, clean control, and blow dry selection. I bought a very expensive bag of dog food for my immune compromised dog. The food was recommended by my vet and this was the only place that carried it. The bag arrived damaged. I returned the bag and they said it was out of their return window and wouldn't issue a refund or provide a new bag. So, I spent over $150 on a bag of dog food that I wasn't able to use and spent time and money returning only to have them keep the bag and not issue any refund or replacement. Probably a great store to shop in person but their excessive shipping fees make it it downright outrageous. Any other source on the interned is more reasonable. If you buy a case at a time (12cans) the savings is over $1.00 per can on Amazon! The come off as looking reasonable when doing an internet search, but when finalizing the purchase the cheapest shipping method was $48. Are you NUTS??!! Never again will I even consider you as a pet source. If you have money to burn this could be your place, otherwise pretty much anyplace is going to be more reasonable. Love the the ability to wash my dog at this location. It costs $10 for 10 minutes- it always clean and they provide clean towels to help dryl off your pet. My puppy likes their bulk dog biscuits - I always buy them after I was my dog. Very reasonable . The folks that work here are always very friendly and make a fuss over my dog. read more

Took puppy today to get his shots and the female vet was absolutely horrible.We had questions she wouldn't answer, acted like we were a bother and like she didn't wavy to be there! Southern Agriculture sent a letter in the mail with their name and return address of 5601 E. 71st. Tulsa, OK 74133 with their phone number (918) 488-1993 with coupons with my name on them. When I made the grave mistake of calling the phone number with the intention of purchasing the product someone named Autumn answered the phone and in a rude condescending scary tone of voice told me that they never sent that to me OK I have an envelope with US postage PAID stamp that is evidence of the fact that they did. Then Autumn proceeds to beat me down, argue and insist she is right with her false narrative stating the mail did not come from them. The level of hostility towards me was absurd considering the fact I was treated like a criminal for making the mistake of calling them to purchase a product. When I called her out on her unprofessional conduct Karen err I mean Autumn threatens me with getting a manager. Then the manager Mason gets on the phone and defends the horrific customer disservice that I received and continued disseminating the false information that I never received that mail from them (even though it has their business name, address and phone number on it). He then proceeded to argue with me about it then said he didn't want to "PISS" me off. I called him out on his filthy mouth and told him never to speak to me like that again to which he retaliates. He escalated his argument with insisting that he was right in telling me that their store did not send the mail to me and I defended my self by stating how was any of this my problem. He literally told me to call the manufacturer of the products and tell them not to put on their mail the return address to their store and I responded "You are not my manager and I'm not your employee and you don't tell me what to do" . absolutely HORRIBLE! we just bought 2 gerbils from there 2 days ago, july 3rd. spent $200 on all of their bedding, sand baths, and toys, only to come home and discover they have PINWORMS. Nathan is refusing to take care of our sick animals that they sold us, unless we do a full return and say goodbye to our gerbils-- who, based on the conversation we just had, they wouldnt have even treated afterwards anyways. just as evil as petsmart, petco, and all the other unethical af pet stores around. do not buy from these people! they'll sell you sick animals and then say oh well. read more

This Southern Agriculture keeps their live small animals in their own excrements. It is very dirty and nasty to even look at. I came in looking for a hamster and the bedding and cage was so dirty I felt so bad for the small animals living there. I don't understand how they intent to sell the animals if they're living in filth and the cage is visually a turn off. All the cages need a deep cleaning and a light to see the animals. I would suggest using paper bedding instead of using the clearance pellets that are hard on the animal's feet. Please take care of the animals that you are selling. The only reason I gave this review a two star is because they seem to carry more items for small critters. They have a wider selection to choose from. read more

This store is pretty cool for being a pet shop. My fiance's mom told about this place so we decided to check it out and guess what its actually nice despite what it looks like on the outside(Could use a bit of a face lift). They have pretty much anything you need for pretty much any animals including Horses and cattle(yes cows). And my fiance' made the comment that we are definitely going back there to get our lil dog some sweaters. And get our cat some toys and others supplies. read more

"Hassle Free Return Policy" This is a joke. I tried returning a bird feeder guard that obviously was defective. The anchor hook broke in half after a 3 pound squirrel tried to jump on the bird feeder. The bird feeder weighed less than 2 pounds and the Squirrel Guard was rated up to 20 pounds. I did not ask them to replace the bird feeder just exchange the Guard. It was only $21.99. I had all the parts they refused to exchange the product even though the manager agreed it was obviously a defect but they do not warranty the products. Also it was less than 60 days since I purchased the item. They should read their own return policy on their site. They did not follow it. Instead they told me I could call the owner of Southern Agriculture. I would rate them less than 3 stars after this experience but being I have purchased from them for 13 years I gave them 3. I've been a loyal customer for decades shopping mostly at the 71st or 91st store (before it closed). Yesterday I was rudely accosted by the info desk female with tie-die mask yelling at me that I can't shop there without a mask. I told her I have never worn a mask in their store and she said it was required. I asked if they honored exceptions and she stuttered and reluctantly answered "well yes, but only medical". When I informed her I had a medical reason she rolled her eyes. When I was paying at checkout I asked if they preferred non-mask people to shop at certain times, the older woman with short Grey hair got rude and ugly and said we weren't allowed in the store without a mask. I pointed to my face and said there are exceptions; she proceeded to tell me that she had a medical exemption but wouldn't come to the store without a mask. I told her I'm glad we still live in a country that we have freedom to choose. read more

Southern Ag is awesome in that they offer the same shots my dog needs each year for half the price of a veterinarian. They know my doggie by name whenever I bring her in. They are personable in a world of anonymity and detachment. They are there for me each week when I need live crickets for my live geckos. You can get in and out in about 5 minutes. I go to the Mingo and Harvard and Tulsa Hills stores. They are all very proud to work there and show it by helping you and giving their expertise. read more

So disappointed in SA. I've gone to their vaccination clinics for years and I always left feeling good about their vets and staff, and they've ruined that. I took my GSD and he's new to me and a handful. When I asked for a heart worm blood test they asked which HW medicine I wanted and shoved a hardly readable list at me. They wouldn't answer any questions about the different meds. The vet ordered me how to place my dog on the table and where to hold him without explaining it was an elevator table. I'd never had to use one before. I told them I'd come back for the test results and medication. I came home and studied different meds and changed my mind about getting the meds there. I called to get the results and was told I'd need to pay $10 for a prescription to use else where. I don't mind the charge if they had just told me up front. If they'd helped me with deciding on meds I probably would have got them there. I realize I was at a "discount clinic" I just didn't know it meant no service just shots. read more

This place is a hoot! I'm a big animal lover, and when I saw it advertised as "all things for all animals," I had to go. I've never been in another pet supply store like it. They really do carry all manner of supplies for everything from your typical dog/cat to reptiles, goats, horses, you name it. The selection is incredible, and the staff is always friendly. There's an interesting gift area with lots of dog breed-specific stuff at the front. I thought this was weird at first since a lot of the stuff looks like it hasn't been touched in years, but I've actually found myself buying several gifts there. I still buy dog food from Amazon, so I'm not sure how prices compare to other stores. The store itself feels a little dirty and outdated, and in a perfect world, they would do a big fancy renovation like Petco. But that's just not how Southern Ag rolls. I've also taken one of my dogs in for the shot clinic, and it is much cheaper than our normal vet. If I can make the times work, I will definitely try to keep doing this in the future. The only problem I've run into is that they don't do the fecal exams that my vet requires for boarding, and I have to pay a vet fee with a fecal exam at my regular vet. The clinic is very quick-- you pay, vet jams shots into dogs, you leave. Just manage your expectations and you'll be happy. read more

Horrible customer service! Tried to get an exchange for a defective product and they wouldn't do it because I had lost my receipt.

A few months back, I swore I'd never go back in due to the attitude of the employee at the "customer service" desk at the 71st St store. Eventually, I did go back, and while I will never stop to ask a question if said employee is on duty, I will say that most of the employees are very helpful. Today I went to the 91st St store, not wanting to go through the mega store, and could not have been treated more rudely. Sour pusses at the counter. Honestly, I don't see how some of these people keep their jobs, but I've heard this complaint from others, so maybe it's not offensive in the SA culture to upper management. I try to "shop local", but from here on out I will drive across town to Utica Square and give my business to the Dog Dish from now on. They are extremely helpful, and contrary to what you might think, are not more expensive. In fact, on a few things I've found them to be cheaper. And they actually give great customer service. The Southern Agriculture that is located on 71st & Sheridan has very rude Veterinary Specialists. The general staff is okay but the doctors seem rude & careless. I thought it was a bad day & decided to keep bringing my pets there for shots, but every visit there has been disappointment.
